Lightroom :: 5 - 1px Cropped Off The Width Of All Synced Photos
Nov 21, 2013
LR5 bug. I've found that when I sync a batch of photos more than once, unless I untick the sync crops option, 1px is cropped off the width of all synced photos. The master photo stays at its original size.
My images cannot be anything other than the exact original size. This is a tech issue not a personal one.
Clearly there's a workaround for this, but then you have to remember to untick the crop option. If you don't and you've moved ou of the module and started working elsewhere, it seems that there's no quick undo fix; you just have to go back into each photo and set to the last 'good' history step.
I have my user presets for exporting photos set to W3600 x H2395 when I want to print 12x8, but both 12x8 photos and photobooks come back with the image cropped. Is there a dimension setting I should use to avoid this problem? I have a Nikon D700 if that is relevant.
I am running LR 5.3 and CS6 with the latest updates all installed on a Mac running Maverick (10.9.1). why cropped pictures in LR5 do not upload to CS6? There is no message that it didn't work properly.
In addition, when I undo the cropping in LR, the photo will upload to CS6, however, part of the photo will be destroyed.
I have found that if I straighten a photo in Lightroom and then export it, it will not print correctly. The photo will print with the edges of the photo not straight with the borders of the paper. The angle the photo is printed askew is the same angle that I used to straighten the photo.
This is only apparent on prints with borders, but I assume it is happening on borderless prints as well.
Lets say you use the adjustment brush and highlight only the subject of the photo to brighten it up and make adjustments. Then the next photo you have is almost identical, except it is framed a little differently. So, when you sync the settings from the previous photo to this new photo (including the brush adjustments), the overlay mask will mimic the previous photo and will not line up with the subject in the new photo. Thus, my question is, is it possible to move the overlay mask in the new photo after the sync so that it can match precisely over the subject?
Can I reduce the palette width in LR 5 down to the width of LR 4? I am able to enlarge their width from the standard width – but how to reduce them? I am missing 100 pixels (2x50) for image view.
I took photos with a DSLR some with a point and shoot, and a lot with my phone camera. DSLR photos are all good quality and when I export I want all of them to keep their original size, point and shoot photos should be reduced in size by about 20~40% depending on the crop I made and zoom when I shot. Phone pics need to be reduced by around 50% or more. One pixel size on export doesn't cut it since all photos are cropped and have various sizes but only some need reduced sizes due to phone camera taking bigger pictures than the quality keeps up with.I need some sort of 'export size for full sized jpeg' or something. (Without exporting each picture individually that is)
After finishing with developing an image including cropping, i export it to a Desktop file for emailing. however, the image that gets exported is not the cropped image but the original size.
I work with lightroom for wedding photo. I use Book Module to prepare lay out of the final book.
When I put images in a book they are sometimes cropped by the specific page lay out.
I don't use the printing service of Lightroom, instead I prefer to send the files to my local printing service and then stick them to an album (wedding stuff).
Is there a way to export cropped images from a book?
Perhaps a bug? raw files from sony rx100 all come in cropped in LR 4.2 beta . When I select all and batch "uncrop" them, I get an " internal error " I use 5 mb raws.
I'm trying to create a full width photo layout using Photoshop or Fireworks CS3 and then end with Dreamwaver CS3 without the photo's being tall.
to create a flash site just like expo but at this point I would settle for a static photo with the same size being the same on each page.
Also I would like my site to be a liquid layout so the photo and everything else (text, Links etc) on the page flows correctly.
The size of the photo's they offer are
425 x 282 px (5.9" x 3.9") 849 x 565 px (11.8" x 7.8") 1698 x 1131 px (5.7" x 3.8")
I'm selecting horizontal photo's. I do not know how to match the same width, height and appearence as the websites I mentioned above.
If I choose a photo that fits the width then the length is too long. Also if I choose a large photo and have to crop it then most of the detail of the photo is lost.
I'm attempting to create a mock-up for my web in Fireworks CS3 and after search Adobe and www I came across the mock up should be 1004px which would end up being 1024 with vertical scroll bar and small margins.
I also have Photoshop & Flash CS3 but should mention (if you haven't already guess it by now) I am a rookie when it comes to creating a website.
I don't remember it being a problem in LR4, but I have just used the spot tool on an image where there was a crop. The program's choice of source for the spot tool seems to me to be more dramatic than ever before, and in this particular image the source selected was in the area which I had cropped out. To move the source point, I had to open the crop tool to adjust one side of the crop, then move the source, then restore the crop to the image, then reselect the spot tool.
It might well be that in some instances the cropped out area is the best source, but whether it is or not, I think we need to be able to access the cropped detail without resetting the crop itself and preferably without having to then reselect the spot tool.
I have Lightroom 4 and the plug-in LR2/Mogrify; which I purchased. I am trying to send my images at 300 dpi to a photo lab to produce 4x6 prints with a border at the bottom that is 10% of the short side, and the other 3 borders are 2% of the short side. I then add text for a size 25 pixel font. I am happy with this look when I export to the file folder on the desktop. When I upload to the photo lab, their software wants to resize my prints; where I loose my border or part of the image or the larger border with the words cut-off. I know I have to do something with the canvas, but I don’t understand what to do to get a fixed image size for a 4x6 print with borders and text. I need to know what the numbers are to imput in the Mogrify "background canvas" and how many KB to "compress to file size".
I have the "image sizing" at 6" longest edge, 300 dpi for resolution I have the canvas at 1280 x 1920 The compression size at 300kb
With this I am losing the top border and the other borders now look wierd.
i selected a font in typekit für web and desktop use and synced it with my desktop-apps. now i try to use this font in photoshop cc, bu cant see it in the font-menu.
I have a Videostudio X4 problem. I want to compile multiple small clips into one long video. Each small clip might contain an accompanying music track and title track. However, if I try adding a new clip somewhere *previous* into the timeline, the music and title tracks don't stay synced in their proper timestamps relative to their original video track. I hope that makes sense. This requires me to re-sync every secondary track to their rightful video tracks.
Is there a way I can "freeze" (for lack of a better word) every separate video track with their respective secondary tracks? I assume it has something to do with ripple editing, but I've never been able to make it work properly (for example, when I try swapping clips in the storyboard view, I get a "this will break the relative positions of the clips" warning).
When I use the SSM and use the "Place on Sheet" command to create the Viewport from the MS View DWG file, it comes in only as a rectangular Viewport. I tried to see if there's a way to draw a Polyline and select it as a MS View but I don't think that's possible.
Any way to do this without breaking the link between the View DWG and the Sheet DWG?
I'm running into a problem with my symbols, they seem to be going out of sync in my animation. I'm using multiple instances of the same symbol. See below link for the .html file for example of what I mean. The wings go out of sync after awhile, even though they're the same symbol.
I'm exporting DSLR footage with synced audio in order to "bake" the audio in. I'm going to bring the export into Prelude to organize and then back into Premiere to edit. What are the best export settings (including target and maximum bitrate) to maintain top quality footage that I'll continue editing?
I'm having trouble with the spacing of my text when I import a .rtf file. The spaces change width based on the width of the columns. The problem does not effect all the paragraphs only select ones. If I change the width of the column the spacing of the text will fix itself. All of the text is the same text style. I have attached a copy for reference.
Trying to use the width tool, I ran into the following problem. I would like to have a smooth transition of the stroke width between two width points while keeping the original stroke width unchanged outside of that line segment.
There are four width points here: two end points and two in between. The original stroke width is 200. The two on the left have one side set to 100 while the two on the right have one side set to 50. I would like to eliminate the distortion of the line width occuring in the first and third line segments. The only solution that I have come up with so far is to place two additional width points very close to the two middle width points: one with a 100-unit side to the left of the second point in the picture and one with a 50-unit side to the right of the third point in the picture. Yet there will be a small distirtion in between.
I'm having an issue where I'm creating a white border around two landscape oriented images that are the same exact size then doubling the width of the canvas. I've never had this issue before with PS CS6.. I tried resetting the photography workspace but no luck. I tried with two portrait oriented images and the same result. I've restarted my machine. I'm on Windows 7 Pro 64bit and I'm running PS CS6 64bit as well. Thought to do a repair through Programs and Features but there is only the option to uninstall. I haven't done anything out of the ordinary except use an action a few days ago I downloaded and used from
[URL]........
and I downloaded and used the press print action.
How I can correct this? If an image is 20 inches wide and I'm doubling it to 40 it's tripling the width to 60 inches. Is there a way I can reset every aspect of PS CS6 to get back to a factory state other than uninstalling and reinstalling?
Frequently when I am using LR4, from the intial to the latest patch, I have a very persistent double arrow. The double arrow is the one that points left and right, and is intended to occur when you are hovering over the side of a window pane and you want to drag it left or right.
My problem is that I get that arrow much more frequently then when I want to change the width of the window. I get it constantly when I go to do keywords. Sure I cross over the window boundry where it might naturally turn into that arrow, but I am exclusively working in the keyword panel. And that double arrow remains. I need to shake my mouse a bit to make it disappear. This is not a problem that occured in Lightroom 1, 2 or 3.
Can Lightroom constrain images to a fixed pixel width regardless of height and orientation?
None of the options in the image sizing dialog seem to be suitable; for instance constraining the "long edge" would work for horizontal images but not for vertical ones.
