View 4 Replies View Relatedhow it deals with cropped images. I have the following edited image, cropped to some specific region:
Then, I tell lightroom to edit this image in Photoshop CS4:
However, once it hits photoshop, it has magically gained more image data than I told Lightroom there should be:
Somehow, all the development settings are correct, but the crop has too much data.
I have both programs but due to CC issues with Topaz and Nik plugin issues I prefer to Edit my photos from lightroom 5 in CS6. The problem is that I don't see anywhere in preferences where I can change it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedBassically i want to create a photo collage of pics. I have used the Lasso Select tool to cut out my images in the shapes that i wanted and deleted the remaing background. i then saved the cutout image but the issue i am having is that the canvas (checkerboard) is larger than the picture. I can resize the canvas however the images are not standard shapes and the area fills up with either black or white filling.
When i use Picasa to do the collage the pics that overlap are surround with a border; basically the fill between the image and the canvas.
I'd like to batch crop all while moving the cropped section with each file. This is for time lapse, so it will consist of about 500 files. I'm hoping it will give the effect of panning. I can do this in vegas but I have to zoom and pan AFTER the file is made. The zoom reduces the quality bad. My thinking is that if I can do this with picture files prior to making the video, the quality will be much better.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI would like to crop a small part of a larger image with custom / free flow dimensions to the crop and then be able to print / export at a know print friendly aspect ration. An example would be a taking a crop of one person in a couple, from a larger image. The crop is outside common aspect ratios. Can lightroom fit the image to an aspect ratio of my liking whilst maintaining everything I have cropped?

I am editing old pictures. To save time I am scanning four pictures at a time. I'm using the marquee tool to crop each picture into their own layer via right click method and choosing "Layer via copy." After I'm done doing this for all four pictures, I have to hide all but one layer, trim the project to the picture size, save it. Then I undo the trim, and start over for the next picture to save.
Is there any easier way to save each cropped section as their own picture/project at the size of their crop without effecting the other pictures? Was wondering if there was a way to crop the portions I want out but instead of copy to layer method, I could just create a new project with that cropped picture?
Since ADM is not available in CS6, I am wondering how to add preference items to the preference panel. Though AddPreferencePanel is still available in preference suite, it is taking a dialog id as parameter and the doc refers to ADMDialogSuite, so I guess it is still there by mistake.
I am using Qt, and of course I can create my own preferences dialog, but is it possible to add it to the existing preferences dialog to provide seamless interface?
How do i change the language preference?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI really looking for a solution how can I change the color of a part of a picture. In my case it's a pharmacy sign (see attachment). I want to change the color of the white Part (snake&scale) into a sort of brown (#bcb29d).The green cross I want to change into red.
I only managed (not even that perfectly) with hue. But I cannot choose exactly the colors I want. I manage with the color/select tool to select the region I want to change but then.I don't know how to move on.
I need to write some text in continuation in different color. I am not getting a way to change the color of some part of the text.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIn the past, I have been changing my default image size to a 2:3 format by selecting it from the drop down list while in the Develop module or by pressing R. After adjusting the image, it used to display 2:3 under the lock, but now it is going back to AS SHOT.
I am using a Windows 7 machine with LR 4.2.
I like knowing I have a custom crop ratio, but have no idea if it is being applied by looking at images in LR.
I have Corel Video Studio Pro X3
I live in Europe so that's PAL. But I also want to make DVD's for my family in the USA, and that is NTSC. I know I can choose to burn a DVD in PAL or NTSC at the DVD factory.
What I do NOT understand is: When I want to edit my video files I can choose for PAL or NTSC at Settings>Preferences>edit color filter. What does this setting do?
Also when I check Project Properties it always says PAL, even when I choose NTSC at Settings>Preferences>edit color filter. How I can edit video files and then burn DVD's in Pal & NTSC format without having to make separate editing for both formats.
Our products all have a common element that consists of a backlit blue area with black text. In all of our product photography, the blues look different (when looking at the actual products, the blues do match).
I want to go through the library and color match the blues the best I can (to Pantone 306 U). What is the best way to do this?
My part color is yellow. In the assembly It shows as gray.
I cant seem to get it to change to match the part color. I used to know why this happens and knew how to fix it but seem to have forgot. How do you get this to work?
I also recently loaded 2014, but had the same problem with 2013, so its not a release issue.
I'm new to photoshop cs2 but i have played with alot of video editor programs so i can catch on quick.

I've been trying to change a parts color for three days.
I've seen in an example, that you can use "RenderStyle" of the "ComponentOccurrence" class.
But the "ComponentOccurence"-class doesn't have this property any longer (Inventor 2014 API).
Which property or class I can use instead of?
I have just watched the video on how to apply a vignette. In the video the vignette is black. When I tried to emulate the steps, my vignette is white. How do I change the color to black?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI quite often import hardware models downloaded form various mfg or supplier websites. McMaster Carr for example provides a great deal of hardware models. While they offer native formats for SW they do not do this for IV (not many places do)
Since the [imported] models often open up with default properties, I change the material to something that closely represents the actual hardware or item. In some cases, there are certain portions of the item that are in reality colored or textured differently and I sometimes want to duplicate that for aesthetics and a more accurate view for people that use my assembly files.
In SW, it was always real easy to select just a face (regardless of whether the surface was part of an entire part, a feature, an imported solid body, etc. I could always change the properties of just a face or slection of faces. Since it was a standard pc of hardware, I had no concern about updates.
I have a part file that contains two imported solid bodies. If I select just a single face and try to change the color of it, it changes the entire part. Not what I want.
Is there any way with a click of a button by using LISP, it will change all the selected object to be changed to a pre-set layer...
Example, after i select a certain entities in a drawing, with LISP, it will change all the object to layer "0"?
Additionally, u also need it to change all selected entities that are in "dashed" linetype to be change to "hidden" linetype..
How can I changed a colored pictkure to black and white and keep a selected part colored (color swap)
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen using an external editor (PS CS5) to edit photos from Lightroom 3, there is an inital preference to select whether to use ACR in PS to process the raw file, or to use LR. I always want to do this in PS. There's often times where I'm compositing multiple photos. I only need to open up that raw file to quickly grab a section of it to move into another file. I don't want to save the raw file as a psd, tif or whatever, just select, copy and move that section of the file and then close it.
The problem is that preference setting is only when you first set up the Lightroom, I'm not seeing it anywhere on any of the preference menus. And for some reason, it has switched to processing the raw in Lightroom. So now i'm ending up with useless psd files. That takes up space on my hard drive, takes longer to archive on to external hard drives, and is slower to open the files into PS. It may seem like a small inconvenience, but when shooting 1000s, or 10000s of images a week it adds up quickly. And to get rid of them, i have to reveal in finder, then delete, then remove from catalog in LR - which just wastes time.
Mac Pro, dual quad-core, 16gb ram, GeFOrce 8800 GT 512mb graphics card
OS X Snow Leopard
LR 3.6
5d Mk II CR2 files
PS CS5 (12.0.4) and also the newest prerelease (can't disclose much on this)
LR and PS are both great in their own right, and do things better than the other in some situations, I wish Adobe would make them play nicer together.
When I select Brush, changing the exposure supposed to change only the selected part exposure. In my LR-5 it changes the whole image exposure. What am I doing wrong?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have LR4.3 for at least one year. He has worked correctly until 2 weeks ago. But now it is impossible to have correct color in the "development " part.
When i choose the pictures in the computer to load them, their colors are "normal" but after to have loaded them, The pictures are red, blue, green, yellowl etc without gradient (like solarization) Even if the picture loaded is in B&W.
And the "histogram" has the same colors.
When i decide to send these pictures to the computer, their colors are again "normal" (with the changes I have done) but without be able to control them during their passage in LR4.3.
Original picture:
The same in LR4.3
It seems the color part of paintbrush in the LR 5 trial isn't working.
