Anytime I try to export a file and add a watermark, Lightroom crashes. I can export without adding a watermark just fine. Lightroom also crashes when I try to edit a current watermark - as soon as I click the drop down menu to choose which watermark to edit, down goes Lightroom. I have both text watermarks and a small jpeg as a watermark (same thing happens with both) and I am running Lightroom 4.3.

I have a 30 second .avi file, frame size 1440 x 1080 15 frames/sec Video compression Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder, 24 bits, total 450 frames Audio compression PCM 32.000 kHz, 16 bit Mono 960,000 samples.
I can play the video OK in vlc and when I insert the video into the timeline of VS X3 and play the inserted .avi.
As soon as I insert:
1. a .jpg at the start of the timeline with text and/or,
2. text (as a watermark) on bottom left hand side for the 30 second duration
whenever I play back (in VS X3 preview) this clip, the movie plays (but with a frozen first frame from the .avi) with only the audio with the text.
I have been using VS X2 successfully on my Windows 7 64-bit PC.I had purchased X3 sometime ago and decided to install my X3 version.
I recently purchased Lightroom 4 and I am having issues adding a watermark to my JPEG images!
I'm using a very basic Ariel Black text, medium size and very clear. The watermark appears fine in the photo preview but does not show up when exported to my Lightroom library file! If I export to a TIFF image it's fine but just not in JPEG.
Lightroom 4? My watermark is pixelated after export.
I've checked my logo everywhere else and it's wonderful, crisp and clean - including while resizing it in the preview for watermark setup, but for some reason it's pixelated and awful looking after lightroom export.

After I edited my Raw images shot by Nikon D600, I'd like to export them to Jpeg format with my watermark. The watermark will not show if I exported the images in original size (6016 x 4016) as shot. However the watermark works fine if I resize the images to a smaller size, such as 1200 x 1024.

Alternatively, I created the watermark in Photoshop, put in the text, rotated it, and saved it as a jpeg. I can't get a clear background. It appears jpeg doesn't support that. SO, I saved it as a .png (jpg and png appear to be the only two formats supported for a graphic watermark in Lightroom). It looks FINE, except in Photoshop the text is WHITE, which is what I want in Lightroom, but every time I open the .png file in the watermark editor in Lightroom, it comes in with BLACK text...
How do I get a Lightroom export watermark with the text I want in the font I want, angled the way I want?

View 1 Replies View RelatedIn Lightroom 2, 3, if I exported a file, I had to physically toggled/click on the watermark (well, in 2, there wasn't the option).
I just downloaded 4 and started working with it. I exported a file, uploaded it to my print lab and lightroom4 automatically placed a logo phrase. I did not enter this. This isn't a good option to automatically have this box clicked!

When i was using LR3 this always worked, but when I recently updated to LR5.2 the Copyright watermark does not show in my photos. I tried several repetitions exporting to .JPEG files, making sure that the Watermarking box is checked. Still, the photos do not show the Copyright symbol and my name.

I've rebooted the PC at least 4 times, backup the catalog (with over 90,000 photos that took a while lol), closed photoshop and lightroom and then reopened them countless times and it is still not allowing me to export. The files are not missing and it's just stalling when it starts to export and has to close itself down.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been using Lightroom 4 for almost a year with no issues. 2 days ago, it suddenly stopped exporting when I was in the middle of editing a session. It will export and entire catalog, but not single photos. When I attempt to export a single file, it will simply stop, and I have to force a shut down. I've tried rebooting my PC, creating a new catalog and resetting the preferences folder. Is there anything I can do?!

I had a bunch of watermarks that I had created in LR4 that was a result of trying to redo a previously created watermark (why Adobe don't allow you to overwrite I don't know) but instead of overwriting the currently selected watermark LR4 lets you create a new preset from the changes. These changes build up over time and you sometimes end up with missing or moved files. If these graphic files are missing then you may or may not have ran into my dilema where when you select the watermark to try and delete it, the dialog box just keeps disappearing and nothing you do seem to work. Don't dispear, here is a solution I've discovered that I couldn't find anywhere else.
1. Open LR4 (Not sure if this works with other versions)
2. Select the Print module (this seem to be the fastest, easiest way to access and edit watermarks)
3. Select the check box next to the watermark under the "Page" pane on the right (this will allow you to select and edit the individual watermarks)
4. select the dropdown menu and chose the watermark that you want to edit. The dialog bot will open but beware it will quickly vanish in a couple seconds so here is my solution (at least until Adobe fixes this problem). Grab hold of the dialog box before it closes and hold it for a few seconds, this will delay or stop it from closing instantaneously.
5. Select the dropdown menu within the dialog box and chose delete watermark option, confirm that you want to delete and voila!
This is a problem that has eluded me for a while. Im running Lightroom 3 and photoshop cs5 (both have the latest updates) . Now I've created droplets that run various actions. In lightroom I export images and use export actions dialog box to have lightroom run the droplet.
However now I get a "photoshop cs5 has stopped responding" and a "droplets can not communicate with photoshop.
Im running windows 7 64bit
Things I've tried
restarting both programs rebooting the computer running lightroom and photoshop as an admin recreating the droplets and telling windows to run the droplets as an admin
I would like to resize and watermark all of the image in a particular file. I understand that I can do this with Lightroom, but I do now know how.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have images that I export as a catalog from my notebook and external drive to my desktop . Did this all the time before the release candidate 4.1 without a hint of problems. With 4.1, it crashes 90% of the time....average export/import of a catalog I am running is about 3000 images. What is particularly wierd is that it crashes on multiples of 500. Normally first crash is at 500, the next at 1000 or 1500 and so forth.

Alternately, is there 3rd party utility to do this to a whole folder of exported JPGs? That would be messy, but I really need to ID certain event photos ON the photo.
