View 1 RepliesLightroom 4? My watermark is pixelated after export.
I've checked my logo everywhere else and it's wonderful, crisp and clean - including while resizing it in the preview for watermark setup, but for some reason it's pixelated and awful looking after lightroom export.
This is my logo:
(click to view since it's gray)
and this is what it looks like on the image after export at 72dpi:
Here is both the image above, plus i've applied the same watermark in photoshop on the right and saved in photoshop:
After I edited my Raw images shot by Nikon D600, I'd like to export them to Jpeg format with my watermark. The watermark will not show if I exported the images in original size (6016 x 4016) as shot. However the watermark works fine if I resize the images to a smaller size, such as 1200 x 1024.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'd like to export images from Lightroom 4 with a watermark. It COULD be text, but I want to rotate the watermark 30 degrees. I can't see a way to do that in the watermark editor in Lightroom...
Alternatively, I created the watermark in Photoshop, put in the text, rotated it, and saved it as a jpeg. I can't get a clear background. It appears jpeg doesn't support that. SO, I saved it as a .png (jpg and png appear to be the only two formats supported for a graphic watermark in Lightroom). It looks FINE, except in Photoshop the text is WHITE, which is what I want in Lightroom, but every time I open the .png file in the watermark editor in Lightroom, it comes in with BLACK text...
How do I get a Lightroom export watermark with the text I want in the font I want, angled the way I want?
Why cant I export some files with my watermark logo? works for some photos but not others!
View 1 Replies View RelatedDoes the current 4.?? (or 5) provide a way of including selected EXIF info as text on the image at export ?
I want to place lens and exposure info on each image as plain text. Morgrify suggested but that no longer works.
In Lightroom 2, 3, if I exported a file, I had to physically toggled/click on the watermark (well, in 2, there wasn't the option).
I just downloaded 4 and started working with it. I exported a file, uploaded it to my print lab and lightroom4 automatically placed a logo phrase. I did not enter this. This isn't a good option to automatically have this box clicked!
Watermarking won't let me select to watermark in export

View 2 Replies View RelatedAnytime I try to export a file and add a watermark, Lightroom crashes. I can export without adding a watermark just fine. Lightroom also crashes when I try to edit a current watermark - as soon as I click the drop down menu to choose which watermark to edit, down goes Lightroom. I have both text watermarks and a small jpeg as a watermark (same thing happens with both) and I am running Lightroom 4.3.

View 18 Replies View RelatedI understand that Lightroom catalog backup saves only the metadata refering to changes etc. that have been made to photos. My question refers to the backup of the photo files themselves. If I do a Windows Defrag for instance, the photos will probably be moves in that process to a different location on my hard drive. Can Lightroom still find thesse photo files once they are moved? Or, if I restore photo files from an external drive to my internal hard drive which will probably locate them on different locations than they were originally, how does Lightroom associate the Catalog metadata with these newly relocated files?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been unable to select previous folders used for export by selecting them from the usual dropdown menu in the export dialog box. All the folders created by the Choose option since installing LR4 are shown, but the are grayed out an inaccessable. View 1 Replies View RelatedMy computers HDD (C:drive)crashed. I have installed a new SSD and totally renewed the installation of my PC including new installation of Lightroom 4.
Luckily I kept my (10.000) photo's ánd LR 4's catalog on D: drive. (And ofcourse also BU on NAS)
Since the new installation the drive that was previously D: is now called F: , I don't know why. D: drive on the new installation is now the DVD- drive
I can restore my catalog but LR4 can't find the photo's. How do I change on all 10.000 photo's te location name from D: to F:???
The photo files I import to Lightroom get saved under "Photos" and then under folders by date. I'd like to save them to the cloud (dropbox). How do I change their destination so they save there automatically?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI work for a distribution company that sells 15+ product lines. For almost every product, they have a photograph. I was asked to set up a system whereby a number of sales representatives could access these photographs in an organized fashion from their own computers. This is how I have set things up: A media computer (backed up onto an external hard drive) has all the raw files. In lightroom I have set up two publish services to hard drive. The export location for these two publish services was an external drive that was accessible throughout the company network. Unfortunately, while I was gone, the external drive was changed over to a cloud-based system. As such, the export location for my publish services no longer exists.
Of course, I could go and re-create the publish services, but unfortunately that would be an incredibly laborious process because each publish service has 10 or so sets with 2-4 levels of folders amounting to several hundred folders that would need to be re-created. Moreover, because of the complexity of the system, I made them all smart-folders with specified attributes, etc. So re-creating all these folders would take a whole lot of time.
So, I was wondering if there is any lightroom wiz out there who knows a work-around for my issue.
Now, I did do some digging already and I came across this article: [URL] which outlines a method for changing the export location! However, as far as I can tell, I would still have to change the export location of each folder manually, which would basically be just as complex and confusing as recreating the publish service anyways. Am I correct in this thinking, or using this method is there a "root" folder than I can change, which will change every other folder?
After I edit photos in an external editor, my photo is moved from its original location in the folder, to a different one. The photo stays within the same folder but is moved to a new location within it. This is really annoying as I have a couple thousand photos from a trip to Europe I have been going through, and after my external editor closes and I am returned to LR, I have to find the photo which has been moved to some random spot so I can put it back to where it originally was. I want to keep my photos organized by location, so it really sucks when my photos from Turkey end up with my photos from Hungary. How I can stop this???
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I edit a photo in Photoshop from Lightroom 4 and save it back to Lightroom, the photo ends up somewhere else in the folder than it's original location. View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I export a photo to a sRGB file, there is way to much color in the photo. In Lightroom 4.2 the photo looks good, but when I open the exported photo It looks like its to much saturated. When I export the photo as AdobeRGB (1998), strange enough the photo looks for 95% oke.
I'm using a Eizo ColorEdge CG243W monitor in sRGB mode. To ensure that it's not my monitor that's causing the problem, I've watched both photo's (sRGB and aRGB) on a standard monitor on a different computer. The result is the same: to much color in the sRGB file, pretty good colors in the aRGB file.
I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 bit. My videocard is a MSi Radeon R7850. I'm using Lightroom 4.2 (system info says: [850741]).
I've just bought this system. Before I've used another computer, with the same monitor, were I've tried Lightroom 3.2. I didn't experienced any problems there. Then I also used the monitor in sRGB mode. When I exported to a sRGB file, the photo came out perfect.
I seem to have problems sizing an image and exporting. Before, I always cropped and rotated my photos in PS, but as I more and more use LR, I am finding problems.
When I export, I set my sizes W5400 x H3600 for horizontal and LR4 exports at various sizes, cutting short one size. For example I have just gone through a video and checked the correct boxes and still its fails to provide an image exactly at the sizes I want. My latest exports are horizontal 5400x3594 and a vertical 3597x5400...
If I set it at 3600 x 5400 and vice cersa, those parameters are what I set and what I want, no compromise.....is this a LR fault or am I missing something?
I'm using Adobe Lghtroom v4.0.
Is it possible to export the settings of each photo with the photo itself. Like. I want to save the adjustments (clarity, exposure, higlights etc) I made for each photo in some text file or within photo's metedata maybe. Reason being, later if I want to reproduce the same effect on same or different photo I can do so. (I'm not talkin about copy option where it copies the settings and you can apply to the oher pics.)
When I export a photo from lightroom to photoshop, work on it and click control/s it saves the file back into lightroom, but then I have to save it again to close photoshop or I get a dialog. Why am I having to save twice in a row when nothing has changed the document? Windows 7 photoshop cc lightroom 5.2.2

I would need the keywords to be separated by commas, like here:
Germany, Berlin, Angela Merkel, Politics
Unfortunately, when I export the images, Lightroom writes them without separation-commas (only puts the keywords in separate lines), like this:
Germany
Berlin
Angela Merkel
Politics
Why does my photos decrease in pixels when i export them onto a disk?
