View 7 Replieshow to create a custom bullet using the bullet character style and configure it as needed. The issue I have is that I can't edit or delete a custom bullet character style once it is created. When I create a custom character style, it doesn't preview so I'm sort of guessing on things like baseline or vertical shift and things like that, so it is trial and error and then I end up with a bunch of extraneous character styles. What I really want to do is edit an existing one - is there a way to do this and I'm just missing it? And if not, can I at least delete the extra character styles?

The 'Entries' are shown with Hidden Characters visible as you can see in attached screenshot:
I can copy those and insert into the Find/Change window but nothing can be found. I think these are not real hidden characters.

I have section headings in my document that have a Paragraph style applied to them. They are always of the form d.d.d.d( ) follow by a short sentance of text. For eg:

I am looking for a GREP style that can underline every word character with a character style but not the spaces between the words. It seems to involve nested iterations which I'm not sure how to do including a non-marking expression. Well it aint working how I think it should…
5.2.2.1 The rain in Spain falls gently on the crane.
I think this GREP style should get it: (?<= )((S)+(?:s))+ The positive looks back on the Tab between the last digit of section number and first word but the non-marking subexpressions are not excepting the spaces from underlining, instead I end up with all the Head Text underlines like so:
5.2.2.1 The rain in Spain falls gently on the crane

I inserted an indesign document of 42 A2 pages into a new indesign A1 landscape document to enable me print two sheets per page on an A1 drawing, and cut afterwards. How do I make sure the border line in the middle is also printed so I have a reference line where to cut the paper equally into two?
View 12 Replies View RelatedI am placing addresses on a mailer. I need to remove lines where there is a blank field (ex. apartment numbers are on some but not others). I have checked the remove blank lines option in the data merge drop down menu but it doesn't seem to work. I also did the find/change option once the file was created and it also didn't work. I am not sure what possibly could be going on. I am using INdesign CS6 on a mac. Here is a screen shot of the file before the merge, the setting menu, the file after merge and the csv file.
View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen I draw a line at the origin, it does not find the origin and snap to it, or auto apply the horizontal constraint when near horizontal. Or if I draw an L the lines are not connected. That is, I can pull one line away from the other. I can not find the settingsto correct this behavior. What's up?
View 2 Replies View RelatedYes, I know where the options to select the arrowheads are (ex: start/end, concavity...etc). But when I create my line, none of the arrowheads are displayed. Not sure what the problem is? Is there an option I may have inadvertently selected which may have turned these off? I am using in Windows Photoshop 5.5. I've used them on this desktop before, again - not sure what's going on here.
Also, is there an option to add arrowheads automagically to the Pen tool in photoshop?
I can't find my Command Line Window. It somehow became undocked and is no where to be found on my screen. It does not appear to be floating anywhere. I've gone through all my display settings; however it says that it should be there and show 3 lines of commands.

Im using CS6 and in InDesign can see all of the text required. When I export to PDF, one line of text is not picked up, this is say line 4 of 8, all the other text is exported correctly. Then when I amend this section by adding text/changing colours, InDesign does not pick up my changes?

In my web mockup PSD I have several kinds of titles that share a common colour but each has a different size or even font.
Is it possible to have them share a character style which defines only a colour (so that I can modify at once the colour of all of them) but does NOT define their size/font (because they don't share a common size or font) ?
I'm not sure if it's just me but is Photoshop supposed to have so much space between the characters in text? I've added a screen snippet of what I'm seeing on my computer with it's current settings. I'm not sure if I have something set wrong or not. This is a minor thing but it annoys the heck out of me knowing I don't have complete control over the spacing of characters.
