Xara :: Can't Change To Bold Or Italic Versions Of A Font
Jun 22, 2011I can't change to bold or italic versions of a font. Even when it is included in the options for a font.
It will show the preview of the change, but when I select it, the display goes back to the vanilla version.

Oct 1, 2013When I am editing text, GIMP will no longer apply italic nor bold effects. (Underline works though.)
I just upgraded from 2.8(.2?) to 2.8.6, and now I have this problem. I also just upgraded from Win XP to WIn 7 and upgraded from 32-bit to 64-bit, so I don't know if that is a factor.
I have files I created with the last version of GIMP that I can open and see the text properly formatted, but if I adjust the text the formatting disappears and WILL NOT come back.
GIMP won't print anymore either. My printer is set up correctly and I can print from other programs, but when I print from GIMP, it LOOKS like it went through, but the printer fails to do anything. I wind up having to tell GIMP to print to the microsoft xps writer (which DOES work) and then open the xps file I just made and have windows print it.

does it make a diff if its mtext or single line text?
Photoshop :: Mac Won't Let To Use Lucida Handwriting Italic
Oct 26, 2013I installed the new OSX update, Mavericks. Hadn't noticed anything weird in its running, except that when I went to run Photoshop my most commonly used font, Lucida Handwriting Italics was missing. It's still in my font book on my Mac, so that's not the issue, but it's like Photoshop just doesn't recognize it. I tried downloading another copy, but my font book said that I had duplicates and I had to disable the newly downloaded one. I need this particular font for my job.

I am facing some problem with few font series. Like the series of fonts called "Heavenetica" has turned italic.
Nothing happens even if I click Italic option again, I tried un-installing and re-installing the fonts, but still the same. The same fonts work and look fine in other software.
I recently upgraded to windows 8, this problem was not there in corel X6 in windows 7.

Going to file > Settings > Duplicate Fonts shows the reason: the regular and italic versions of the font have been improperly detected as duplicates of each other.
It applies equally to the fonts on the Corel CD and those already installed in windows, including standard fonts such as Times New Roman.

CorelDRAW X5 :: Capture All Hotkeys Being Used
May 29, 2011We tried to use the WhatTheFont function in coreldraw x5 and it popped up with:"This hotkey is being used already by this system Please choose another one."
I worked out that it was an error from capture x5 and when I loaded that to change the hotkey, no matter which one I picked it popped up the same error when trying to capture.
I even tried some ridiculous ones like Ctrl+Alt+[Letter] and still got the error.This is running on a Windows 7 64 bit computer with Corel SP3 installed
3ds Max :: Hotkeys Quad Not Working
Jun 20, 2011I can't seem to be able reassign the hotkeys around in Max anymore (no matter how hard I try).I was able to create a Quad for Shift+Z, but when I try it reassigning the same Quad or a new one on Shift+X or any other letter, it doesn't work for some reason. I tried at this point on ALL the combos, and it seems like Max actively refuses to assign anything to any quad menu.
It seems like after assigning my first new Quad, it doesn't want to do anymore changes

Aug 4, 2011Basically at some point or another, maya swaps back to the default hotkey layout. Im not quite sure how or why. Sometimes it takes an hour before the problem arrives, other times minutes. Its not permanent tho, restarting the app will fix it.
I've tried deleting second language, installing keyboard software, searching for alternative pref. files etc., and no, capsLock is not on ^^.

Oct 31, 2011If there is a way to set hotkeys for the steering wheel functions like 'orbit around pivot' and the steering wheel zoom (which is different from the normal zoom).
Using the steering wheel is WAY too slow, so it would be great if it was possible to map these functions to hotkeys.

Nov 8, 2012Today, I decided to give Maya a try. After I installed the program, I created primitive polygons and played with the program a bit. Everything worked fine. However, I have a few problems. The shortcut keys aren't working. It's valid to say that the problem is occurring because the hotkeys aren't set. I checked the hotkey editor interface and determined that all the hotkeys are set. Consequently, the problem isn't occurring because the hotkeys aren't set. Also, right mouse click doesn't bring up a menu. Is there an option to toggle hotkeys that I don't know about?

Mar 23, 2012I'd like to assign hotkeys for 10 or twelve different Tools I've customized and preset, including smudge, brush (various), selection, etc... I'd like to do this without using and action since they have limited assignable keys (F keys), and it would be great if they were centered around asdf keys.
The best I've been able to come up with is to have the tools panel open, press a hotkey and bring up a custom SET of presets, but this still doesn't make the current tool a specific tool, I still have to select from the panel.
Is this possible in CS5 or CS6?

The only fix i've found is having to CLICK on the tool and then the hotkeys will work again...it's really annoying - never happened in cs5...

Sep 26, 2012My workstation had a major reset and my customization (retrofit) making my group lock key-combo [Ctrl+Shift+A] as it had been some time in the past is lost. It has been so long since I meddled with setting hotkeys that I cannot remember where that is done. I either need to know how to toggle the group lock in the "out of the box 2012" or where to set my hotkey prefs.
It is said that a fool's voice is known by multitude of words... I'm just writing this stuff instead of saying it outloud... that's my loophole.

Aug 14, 2012I am using Autucad 2012.... F3 is osnap and F8 is ortho by default.
Is there anyway I can assign osnap and ortho to other keys like "3" or "G" ?
