I've tried both png-8 and png-24
I've turned on the transparency option, and even used the eye-droper to select the exact background color that the image will be used against on the website.

(1) Where do I change the transparency of the background fields and buttons to 100% visible?
(2) Is there a fix for the hinge from edge planned? As it is now and was reported on in 2011, if I use this function on a selected polygon model in face mode, and complete the hinge from edge, then if I select another polygon without going out of polygon mode and choose hinge from edge, the previously selected edge is in Max's memory and I have to go to wire frame mode just to be able to see the edge I want to select.
We would like to make the transparency of glass-materials visible in views and section-views by using the "realistic style". During a 3d-view our glass-material looks like transparent. Isn't it possible for REVIT to display the transparency of materials in views ?
The workaround to hide "glass" by using "overriding visibility" is not possible for us because some of our families and project families are using glass-materials inside (Showcases f.e.).

I am trying to create a logo with a transparent background for my website, so my logo can sit on top of background images. I have created different file, png, gif, eps all with transparent backgrounds but every time I upload it to my website builder (wix) it has either a grey or white background. How I would achieve the correct file?

How do I create a very crips and sharp logo using Adobe software? What software, how to export, what the size of the document should be, what resolution, any detailed tricks, designs and pointers..I know I can create a logo, but it is blurry and it shows. When I put my logo on a gray background for instance, the text becomes more blurrier.

However, when I save the logo in JPEG/PNG for the web its always coming out smaller than i would like it to and i cant seem to get it to the size i want.

I know you can use the SAVE FOR WEB and make a link but can you also do something else to just make the text IN the graphic so that it's selectable or still becomes visible to search engines or searches? View 7 Replies View RelatedCurrently self teaching myself using 3D on a current project I'm working on. A cable stayed bridge having a span of 30 metres supported primarily by a single diagonal parabolic arch. The arch is square in section but rotated so it looks like a diamond along the arch length. To draw the arch I have drawn the arch sections at intervals along the centreline where it changes size in section 1.4, 1.2, 1.1 and 1.0m. I have then used the loft command to draw the arch using the drawn sections as the objects to loft through.
For the GA drawing I have a plan view and elevation. When printing the generated/ lofted lines are are pixelated and not very crisp or clear (not a solid line).
I have tried adjusting the visual style and shade plot, for each of the options and none of them are giving me a solid crisp outline for the generated arch. I have also had a little play using the visual styles manager but nothing seems to work and also tried maximum quality in the print options.
What do I need to do to print a solid crisp outline for the outline of the arch please, are you able to select the edges of the square and convert them to solid 2d/ 3d lines.

Okay, So when you use a clipping mask there can sometimes be a lot of art that is invisible. If you "Select All" you'll get a rectangle only around what's visible. I want the bounds of that rectangle.
I tried itterating the art but I don't think that the art type is the best way to figure this one out. And if you use AIGroupSuite to test if an art group is "clipped" with GetGroupClipped, you get the bounds of the larger art that I'm trying to avoid.
I didn't see anything about bounds of a "selection" in the docs.
I have windows XP professional installed with IE8 browser. I am trying to access a site which has some SVG images but I am not able to see them at all. The prompt for downloading Adobe SVG viewer also does not work.I cannot install IE9 because XP does not support it. Installing Chrome also does not work. Any proper plugin to view the files on Chrome.

how they thought at Adobe when they constructed the help-file as it is now... If I open the help-file in Illustrator, select that I want an answer for Illustrator (the icon to the right of the search-box) WHY do I get answers for InDesign, Bridge and other programs?WHY not just for Illustrator? im after creating an outline around some text basically as a background prepared ready for cutting two layer vinyl..I so far can create text, create outlines, i can add a stroke giving a nice outline around the text,
next stage when i send to winplot and send to cutter it seems to cut numerous lines within the vinyl...What im want i just one line around the whole text following the profile of the main text.

I want the outline to be hollow so I can place another 3D image inside of it.
I have been playing around a bit - and think the answer lives somewhere in compound paths, but can't quite get it right.
In the example below, I essentially want the anter to cut out it's outline shape into the axe. Same with the shield over everything.
This is essentially so I can place the logo over all sorts of backgrounds, without having to have a white outline on it.
The oject below has an unwanted small yellow shape on its edge.
Not sure why it is there as an identicle object within the same project doesn't have it!
How can I connect them again so they are one?
Whilst I am doing this is it also possible to connect the other yellow areas in this image so I can recolor them all together whilst testing colors?
I tried using the: Shift+Select all object>Ctrl Click>Group (& tried "Join" also) but doesnt seem to connect them!
We know this famous CRTL+Y shortcut , it turns the artwork in something ugly , all these wires lol.

I'm trying to outline an image. In photoshop, I did find edges (save), then opened the image in illustrator and did image trace. I obtained a perfectly outlined image.I can't obtain the same results using illustrator image trace alone.I've adjusted the advance settings a few times to get the same result but with no luck. Threshhold and corner settings are ok, but I'm getting more paths and noise than I want, with the settings at low/1 respectively.I also tried the gray scale setting since the image is mostly gray, expand, etc, but no dice).

I want to take a bitmap, live trace it, then create an outline of 2px wide only around the outside limits of the shape. I want to then get rid of all of the live trace vectors and be left with my very simple outline of the original image. Eg.
I've tried image expand, I've tried outline, but nothing seems to work as I need it to.
i created three circles which overlap at certain points, and each of the spaces is filled in with a different color. i need to hide the thin, black outline of the circles. i have made sure that there is no stroke, but it's still there.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have sent an image to a printer in eps & Ai format., but he is requesting the the logo be in an outlined vector graphic, And send it to them again in pdf format.
I have re-opened the pdf that I sent them in Illustrator and find the logo is composed of many shapes and when I use the 'direct selection tool' to select any letter within the logo, it shows an outline with many anchor points. These anchor points can be moved or re-shaped using the 're-shape' tool.
Also I can select any shape within the logo & resize and it does not seem to lose any quality at all.
Am I mistaken in thinking that this is already an outlined vector logo or is there more to it?
I need to create a line drawing of the outline of a chair. I tried following the various Illustrator tutorials to take the image of a chair and create a silhouette. However, I can't figure out how to take this silhouette and get just the outline of it. The Illustrator Image Trace tool doesn't seem to have an option to just save the outline.
Is there an easy way in Illustrator or Photoshop to turn this silhouette into an outline image that I can save as a file? I will print the outline in a very light opacity so that the lines are barely visible for hand rendering. I don't want to use the pen tool to outline the silhouette because my hand is too shaky to do a good job.
I have created a logo. I did it with black fill and white lines. This works well for a white background, like in print; but for the web the white needs to be transparent so the background colors show through and where lines cross you can see the background.
I have tried making the lines with out fill, but of course, that gives no defination of the small spaces that I want not to be black.

The artboard is encircled by a red outline, and instead of editing existing text - if i click on a text box - i only get a tool from tool panel.

I am using Illustrator Cs6 on windows and when I used to switch to outline view there used to be a crosshair mark showing the center of shapes and the same mark for stray points, and about a week ago those marks have disappeared. I checked the attributes window to make sure the center mark is on and its still not showing centers in outline mode. Did i accidentally change a setting i didnt know about? if so is there a fix? those center crosshairs sure were useful...
