View 1 Replies View RelatedI've drawn a hollow ellipse shape (shape layer). I would like to remove the bottom half of the ellipse shape so that I am left with a parabola shape.
I've tried creating two shape layers and combining them in such a way as to subtract out the bottom half of the original ellipse but I am obviously doing it wrong.
how to select and modify an EXISTING rectangle (not create a new one)? I drew a rectangle with rounded corners, and now I would like to modify the radius of the corners.
I've tried using the Rectangle Select tool to reselect the existing rectangle, but Gimp only lets me create a new rectangle.
I downloaded a resume & cover letter template and I am not able to figure out how to delete information and modify existing information to customize these documents.

In a part file i cannot insert parts from content center, should i make an assembly? and then?
I am having to throw some text on a logo and realize Illustrator would be the best place to do this (IMO).
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've got several assemblys built for a road project. the problem is whenever i modify an assembly by adding a subassemby, some of the existing subassemblies move. they stay attached to the assembly but they disconnect from the part they were attached to. i can move them back so the assembly looks correct but when i rebuild the corridor chances are they show up wrong. i've tried 'move to' and just grabbing and snapping. i can eventually get it attached but not without trial and error. i'm running c3d2012.

Can I modify an existing viewport in a macro or in the command line?
Using a macro, I want to modify (specifically delete) the viewport from a layout tab after chspace from model space.
I have LT so no LISP. qselect works but cannot be put into a macro.
If I "select all" on a layout tab in paperspace ACAD says 1 of the objects selected is the viewport so I know autocad recognizes the viewport as a different kind of object.
I need the same funcionality as in code below, but without using "command".
The main idea is alowed user to modify Existing Selection Set.
(defun gt:ss->lst (a:ss / i lst ) ;_ / (setq i 0) (if a:ss (progn (repeat (sslength a:ss) (setq lst (cons (ssname a:ss i) lst) i (1+ i) ) ;_ setq ) ;_ repeat (reverse lst) ) ;_ progn ) ;_ if) ;_ defun gt:ss->lst(defun gt:ss_modify (a:en-lst / ) ;_ / ;;create Selection set (setq ss2 (ssadd)) (foreach f:en a:en-lst (ssadd f:en ss2) ) ;_ foreach ;;Run command and fill with initial content (command "_select" ss2) ;;Alow the user to modify the contents (while (/= (getvar "cmdnames") "") (command pause) ) ;_ while ;;get back the list of enames from modified selection set (setq ss3 (ssget "_P")) (setq ss3-lst (gt:ss->lst ss3))) ;_ defun gt:ss_modify(defun tst:gt:ss_modify ( / ) ;_ / (gt:ss_modify (gt:ss->lst (ssget)))) ;_ defum tst:gt:ss_modify

View 9 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to add text to the fills, strokes, drop shadows & textures that I already created using the appearance panel? Seems like you can build upon text using the appearance panel, but not visa-versa. Is that correct? I thought I was being proactive using the appearance panel the other day to build a burst that I was later going to add text to. But now that I have the text I cant find a way to add it into the appearance panel. I got around it by making what I had built into a graphic style and then applying that to the text. But I had to redefine the shapes that I had originally built to make it work.
Also, is there any way to break these elements apart when you use transform in the appearance panel? For instance, sometimes I will create a pattern using the transform tool and then I am asked to change the color of the shape in the middle.
I am designing a logo in a circle form. I have written the lettering on top of the circle and now would like to write underneath the circle.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a logo comprised of hand-drawn letters that exist as outlined vectors in my .ai file. I am trying to find out if there is an easy way to make each letter a bit “thinner”. I have been achieving this for digital purposes by adding a stroke to each letter that matches the color of the background it will be used on. This workaround has been effective in getting the look I want but becomes problematic when preparing files for printed applications (t-shirts, stickers, etc.)
Is there an easy way to somehow “thin-out” the letters equivalent to the amount of girth that the stroke appears to take off of each letter?
Is there a way to access text boxes in an existing document and replace them with a new value taken from an excel table? I've been able to create new documents from scratch and populate them with excel data, but formating these new documents to look like those we already made is proving more difficult than I thought using just Javascript.
Ideally I'd be able specific an index for each text box and replace them in order as i itterate through the excel(or CSV) document.
I already have a way to pull from the table, another question asked here, but can't figure out the object model to put the new info in a specific place.
Below is what I came up with to create a very rough looking document from scratch:
#target Illustrator
var csvFile = new File('C:/users/whatever/spreadsheet.csv');
if(!csvFile.exists){
alert('notafile');
app.quit(); }
[Code].....
I'm trying to add a small registered trademark to an existing logo. I have the front and the matte of the logo which I take in to paint. While in paint, I add the registered trademark using the text brush within the graphics option. However, I can't seem to get the matte of the trademark and the existing matte of the logo to show up when I view the matte it's either one or the other - not together. So when I render, I'm not getting both the original logo and the trademark rendered with both mattes. For now, I've just composited the two in Action so I can move forward with my work but I would like to know how to do this in paint.

Say I have an image where I'm attempting to extract a mask from and I've found that one of the channels will serve as a good starting point. Further suppose that I have found that I want to increase the luminance level of pixels in the range of 60 - 65 by 10 luminance levels each:
i.e. all pixels with luminance values of 60,61,62,63,64,65 would, after the operation have luminance values of 70,71,72,73,74,75. Is such a thing possible with Photoshop?
I have a dimensioning problem. I have dimensions that I cannot modify as I normally do. I do not know what setting is stopping me but here is what it is doing. I add a dimension to a part. I then edit it to add 2X in front if it. It will then put it on top of the dimension. If I put it behind the text, it then goes beneath the dimension. There is no way to add text and it would actually appear on the same line as the dimension.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to link Autocad to MS Access?
I want to modify text attributes associated with a block based on the input into an access database. I've read I could link the two using DB Connect, but so far all I've gotten is the Data View - Summary.
I would like to modify a text on a picture for a friend. Let me explain : here is the picture I'd like to modify :
[URL]....
I'd like to delete the facebook thing and replace it. But I don't know how to do it. I thought I would select and delete but the result is terrible because the color is not uniform, take a look at this :
[URL]....
The top of the sheet is okay, the rest is not...
Second question. How to make a text looks "real".
I have thought : let's take a picture of a someone holding a blank paper and add a message.
[URL].....
It's not bad but it doesn't look as if I had stamped the message. So I was wondering is there any tool to do so ? Or to make the text fit the picture. As you can see, the quality is not perfect, the first thing coming in my mind is "pixels". It seems we have two different kind of "pixelisation" (I don't know if it's the correct term for what I want to say) : an "old" picture with a new text...I tried the pixel filter it's not working fine.
I would like to take some text and modify the color of it toward the bottom of the text. This is to only change text color- not background. I've found several docs including here saying
"In the toolbox at the bottom of the text tool option click "Path from text" ".
As well as the following Instruction:
It seem with this information I should be able to do it but I can't find Path from Text anywhere. then there is the idea of blend vs gradient.. which is which?
I am fed up with constantly changing the colour, justification, font and font size of text in sketches in the part environment. The text style drop down box is greyed out in the part environment so i can't set up a style and just change it.
Where i need to go to change what the default-iso style defaults to? Any registry key change i can use to make the test style drop down box available in the part sketch environment?
During text creation, I can resize the text by changing font size, use move it around..Later on if I want to modify the text (resize, move to another location)...I don't know how..
