View 3 Replies View RelatedI want to write text then make it curve up/down etc.. without using a object. But by using my mouse.
Is this possible?
I remember I was able to do this in PSP 9 but that was a long time ago. I would be able to do it with my mouse. I get the box now after I apply text to Move, Rotate, resize, but no curve. I remember in the past dragging my mouse pointer to the center of the box and getting a option where I can move the text to curve it up or down. That is what I would like to do again.
I have PSP X4
Using: Xara Photo & Graphic Design 6
AMD Athlon II X2 255 Processor 3.10 GHz
2.00GB (1.75 GB usable) RAM
64-bit OS
I follow the tutorial in the Xara Help, but cannot get the results shown. I draw the circle, compose the text, and set it to the middle Select both circle and text Arrange/Fit Text to Curve....the text appears around the lower, right side of the cirle After all this I am unable to manipulate the text (It's a piece of cake to do this in Publisher 2010, but it has some minor problems in appearance)
I'm making a commercialized game for a company and i use Paint net, i have down loaded some of the older plugins for use but what i;m looking for is to curve or circle the written text that i have done on a game box.
I have now found a plugin that works really good
In PSPX4 how do I make my text curve in a circle or the like?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'd like to create a logo with some text in the shape of a circle or maybe a horseshoe.
What's would be the best way to do this? I've tried creating a path in the shape of a horseshoe but can't work out how to add my text to it.
What i'm looking for is the equivalent of using "Path along text" (in this case for a circular path) but using already rendered bitmap data instead of text and a font. Why i need to do this is: 1. i don't have a font for the logo text i created (i don't think one exists) and 2. i would like to add some effects before "wrapping" the text around the circle.
I'm having so-so success with "distort -> polar coordinates" .
I'm trying to recreate a logo and I want to join a line and circle, so that the outer circle is merged with the top line, as in the figure below. All the pathfinder tools don't give me what I'm after, I know there's got to be a simple way to do this, how can I accomplish this?

View 12 Replies View RelatedI am trying to make a swoosh at the bottom and top of the two mirrored side profiles. As you can see I have attempted to draw one at the bottom by adding paths and smoothing it but I'm finding it very tricky, I want it to be like the curve of a circle.I am new to pen tool, I'm sure there must be an easier way. I tried removing anchor points but I just gives it a straight edge.
The bit at the end of the swoosh is too thin, I tried adding anchor points but it looks even more wonky. The bottom image is an internet source of what I am trying to acheive.
Illustrator 15.1/CS5 on Mac used to display selected text in reverse and would show handles for text on a path. Now it does neither.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI need to put a reverse curve on an alignment. I have tried using two free curve fillets,(between two entities, radius). the first curve was fine, but it would not allow the second curve. I also tried using a floating curve ( from entity radius through point) first, but it did not work.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have edited the "GeneralLegalPhrasings.xml" file used for the parcel report "General_Legal_Description_for_Parcels".
Two issues: 1. it will not label a reverse curve properly....it shows them all as "compound curves". 2. A curve to curve is always shown as "NonTangent".
I've attached the .xml file (I only edited the imperial parcels - the second large group of <Metes>).
Quite simply, these two "types" below have the words "reverse curve" and tangent or non-tangent accordingly in the output phrase, but it only creates non-tangent compound reports.
Curve to TangentReverseCurve
Curve to NonTangentReverseCurve
This is the report from the parcel in the attached dwg file (notice the "curve to the left" -> "curve to the right" labelled as compound, and all non-tangent curve to curve):
From the POINT OF BEGINNING; Thence, North 90° 00' 00" West, 129.16 feet to a point for corner;
Thence, North 00° 00' 00" East, 100.00 feet to a point for corner, the beginning of a curve; tangent
Thence, 61.46 feet along the arc of a ____ curve to the right, having a radius of 39.13 feet, a central angle of 90° 00' 00", and a chord which bears North 45° 00' 00" East, 55.34 feet, to a point for corner, the beginning of a compound curve; non-tangent
Thence, 47.09 feet along the arc of a ____ curve to the left, having a radius of 29.98 feet, a central angle of 90° 00' 00", and a chord which bears North 45° 00' 00" East, 42.40 feet, to a point for corner, the beginning of a compound curve; non-tangent
Thence, 94.33 feet along the arc of a ____ curve to the right, having a radius of 30.03 feet, a central angle of 180° 00' 00", and a chord which bears North 90° 00' 00" East, 60.05 feet, to a point for corner;
Thence South 00° 00' 00" West, 169.11 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 0.483 acres of land.

how to create reverse curve with straight portion in between , as their is no option of creating reverse curve with straight portion in civil 3d , duding designing a hill road what ever the reverse curve you design will be wrong and superelevation generated will also be wrong as it do no include straight in between the curves (ie reverse curve should contain transition curve transition straight transition curve transition.)

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhenever I click to add text to this path, it starts the text at a different point on the path instead of directly where I clicked. If you can see it, towards the left side of the circle where it says "path" in green. Thats where I clicked, but as you can see the actual text would start a little further on the right side
How can I change this...Also I will add. Once I do type my text it is no longer selectable. After typing I switch up to my direct select tool, and as I hover over the text nothing happens. I cant select it, I can only select the blue bars on the sides of it. I want to be able to select my text also. Shouldnt the blue bars be at the end and the beginning of the text, not so far away from it
I've been looking for an easy way to make text round a circle go outward, like in this picture: [URL] It would be best if the text on the right side would go inward actually, but this would be a start.
Is there an easy way in Illustrator to do this in which I can also add text afterwards?
So I have a friend who creates business cards and logo's with elipses and she's running into a problem. She has currently got the trial version of Illustrator CC and while she can create the elipses just fine, she can't seem to get the text to follow the curve.
She does have the right tool correct? Illustrator can do what she wants it to do correct? If so, is it an issue of usage ignorance or could it be that the trial simply doesn't have this feature?I recommended the Illustrator as the right tool but I want to make sure it will do what she's wanting to do.
See image attached. I have tried everything to get this text effect. Flaring type around a circle. Not text on a path. How do you do this in Illustrator or InDesign? There is a way to do it with the Polar Grid Tool in Illustrator but there's got to be an easier way. With the Polar Grid Tool it would be hard to make edits and delete lines without having to remake the whole thing.

I have a circle and a text as shown below. If i try to align the text and the cirlce, they are not aligning exactly. There is some difference in it as shown below in the first alignment. If i convert the text to outline and align, its perfect. Is there any way to align the text with circle exactly?
