Paint Shop Pro :: Write TEXT - Make It Curve Up / Down Using Mouse
Jul 13, 2012
I want to write text then make it curve up/down etc.. without using a object. But by using my mouse.
Is this possible?
I remember I was able to do this in PSP 9 but that was a long time ago. I would be able to do it with my mouse. I get the box now after I apply text to Move, Rotate, resize, but no curve. I remember in the past dragging my mouse pointer to the center of the box and getting a option where I can move the text to curve it up or down. That is what I would like to do again.
I'm trying to reverse the path for some text I'm placing around the bottom of a circle. I've successfully placed the text around the top of the circle, but the option for reversing the path is grayed-out .
Way back when I originally bought PSP X3, I used it for a short while then went back to X2. Mostly because the X3 text tool would not remember text I had used. Now I've recovered from a hard-drive death and want to move forward and use my X3.
Is there a way to make 3D transparent Text? So that it would look as if Transparent 3D Text characters were embedded in a solid surface? Imagine a transparent 3D letter pushed into 2D surface. This would wrap the surface around the letter, kind of like a river around a rock.
cant write Arabic in my paint-shop x5 , and all my graphic work should be arabic, and hebrew , when i write in arabic it should be like this for example امير you see not sepereated but it goes like that ا م ي ر !!
How to make Shiny gold text. I've tried the hot wax coating 3x color set to light yellow however it looks nothing like gold. Are there settings to hot wax coating or is there another way to make metallic gold or shiny silver.
I'm trying to create a script which will write the filename in/on an open image itself
I recorded a script which
draws a rectangle merges it down writes/types some words on the rectangle and merges that down
Rather than type the same thing in each image, I'd like to write the file name instead omto the image
The applicable section of script seems to be: Select all # Text App.Do( Environment, 'TextEx', { [A number of text tool parameters omitted] },
[Code]....
The key line seems to be that: 'Characters': u'File Name Here?',
(the 'File Name Here' was, of course, what I typed in with the Text Tool
And I'm thinking I somehow have to use App.TargetDocument.Title, perhaps as a variable or system variable, but I have not been able to figure out how to do it.
I'm pretty good with WordPerfect's PerfectScript, and can sometimes muddle my way though some JaveScript, but this is beyond my ability
I will be processing thousands of files ovcer time, typically 100-500 at a time....
I am testing PSP X6 (I have all versions since V7) and now I get wrong files with the PNG Optimization. This functions used to write files with the extension png but now it writes png files with the extension pspimage. If you try to open such a file you will get error messages.
PSP seems to be back with version X6 with again destroyed old functions. It seems so as if will not buy the update this time. With each new version I get new bugs in old functions.
Where can I find a preset shape of a ogee curve. It's sort of a slanted S. I've attached an image of one. Lacking a shape, how to draw one using PSP X5. I used autocad and converted the DWG to a JPG file.
I've read on the internet that to make a Bézier curve, you are supposed to right click, i believe? It says to press the right mouse button. When I right click, however, it just makes another cubic spline line of secondary color.
Alright here's the problem, after reading extensively and watching many videos, I finally learned how to crop and layer , which is ridiculously easy! But now I can't get the line/curve tool to make solid connections.
Green Circle: Where the lines meet end to end Red Circle: Where the lines overlap Blue Circle: Where I crossed lines perpendicularly in example of what's going wrong.
I cannot figure out how to distort text into a curve to achieve a similar result to this Lucasfilm logo:
Hopefully I haven't overlooked a tutorial here somewhere - I've searched but not found anything. I'm guessing this'll have a really basic solution that I've missed completely...
I need to create text along a curve. Is there a plugin for that? I will have a graphic in a circular shape and need text at the top and bottom to be curved to follow the circular graphic.
I'm making a commercialized game for a company and i use Paint net, i have down loaded some of the older plugins for use but what i;m looking for is to curve or circle the written text that i have done on a game box.

Have used Corel photo album 6 for many years and loved it, was very easy to use. When I got my new laptop, I was told that my program was outdated and was recommended that I purchase Corel paintshop Prox4, so I did. I would like to burn my pictures to a CD or DVD for backup and to share with my family, only. My old program had an easy one step button to click on to make a CD/DVD. I find this product to be difficult to use for an average person just wanting to have a little fun with their pictures and doing some minor corrections.
I'm using PSP 8. What is the easiest way to place call outs, if that's the right term?
Ideally I'd like to be able to select a rounded, shadowed rectangle with the arrow appropriately positioned (top, bottom, left, right) and of adjustable length, insert the text (typically a single letter or number), and then be able to group these so that I could drag the callout into the required position. I might need to place 10 or 20 on each of several maps, so it needs to be very simple and fast.
I've never properly used 'Picture Tubes' although I have a feeling that would be one way to achieve this. But the images built in to PSP 8 do not include any callouts. Maybe it's best done from first principles, making a set of shapes first and saving them (in empty form) as individual files, positioning them and then finally adding the letter/number separately?
I can add a vignette to a layer but how do I make a layer just for the vignette? I want to treat the vignette layer just like an adjustment layer and be able to return to it for modification.
I do a lot of CD designs, and often I have my text centered on the front covers. When I put the text centered, however, PSP is added an extra space to the end of text, so when I center it on the canvas the text is actually off-center to the left. When I go into edit the text, there is no space on the right of the words to delete.
With the text selected this is how it looks: The right edge of the frame should be flush with the right edge of the last 'T'.
