I'm running Illustrator CS6 (version 16.0.3) 64-bit on Windows 7 64-bit as part of my Design Standard CS6. I'm trying to package a file but when I go to the File menu, there is no package option. Why is it not there? And how do I get the Package feature?

I recently loaded AutoCAD Architecture 2008 and the menu tabs for File, Edit, Window etc were all missing. They are replaced with a tab that says M-Color 9.5. When i load the program with older files (from this morning) the menu tabs are there but then they disappear. How do i get them back?
Also in addition to that my toolbars are gone, but i can recover those when i have my tool bars.
I am using illustrator cs2 and somehow my reference point locator is missing from my menu bar? Also, I am not able to manually set the x y coordinates on anything besides 0 0. I have been using this program for a long time and haven't had this happen before. turned off the reference point locator but I can't see where to get it back on my menu to be able to align objects.
View 1 Replies View RelatedEvery time I try to package out a file in InDesign its gets about 3/4s of the way through and then shows the "Cannot copy necessary font(s)" dialog box. I have read on certain discussions it may be a font issue. When I remove ALL fonts from my computer font library and use only preset Adobe fonts, Arial Regular for example, it works fine, then as soon as I use a font say, Helvetica Neue Light, I get the error. I have only recently upgraded to CC and all of the existing fonts in my library have always worked fine and never been a problem when packaging... However due to the tests with different fonts, it seems to be a font issue and not a links/filename issue like other people have had.

There are times when the SAVE button is also greyed out. (see screenshot). I was fortunate there was a script that saves the files as a PDF under SCRIPTS. It does not matter if I start a new file or open an old one. I do not have file menu choices. I checked for updates and it states I am current.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI genereate the inital image in AutoCAD, export it as an .eps file then format the image using Illustrator CS5. The files are then placed into an ExCel spreadsheet where the lines will not show up.
When using Illustrator I change the stroke of all lines then drag the artboard edges closer to the object leaving a space around the object. After formatting the very most bottom line of my thumbnails will be missing. I've tried placing the objects at a different reference points in AutoCAD before exporting the file but this has not worked. When running CS3 I never had this problem.
Basically, I'm using another program (Axograph.X) to export a graph as a .svg file. When I open the graph in illustrator, lart portions of it are missing. I'm not getting any error message; just white space where there should be data points.
The problem isn't with the .svg file itself; the everything is displayed properly when I open the file in Firefox (20.0.1) or Internet Explorer 10.
Are there any tutorials (a video, or with images) or any good book or readings on how to create a package design (packaging) with illustrator from start to finish? (From the beginning creating the dielines to the end product of a finished package, mockup examples.)

by the way, when i open the downloaded package using Ai, the symbols are there and i am able to open them no problem. but i can't get them to populate in the brushes, symbols library.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI just downloaded the LR4.x -> LR 5 installer from this website, but I can't install it. Each time I try to extract the installer, it fails. I downloaded it 5 times, using 3 different browsers... It does not fail exactly at the same moment (12%, 32%, 23%) but il fails anyway.
I also tried to open the package with winzip, and extract the file manually. Same thing, files can't be extracted as they seem to be corrupted.
in LR3 custom package did not support photo info. Has this changed in LR4 - is there a way to add a caption to a jpeg file generated via the custom package?

I downloaded the Trial version and the 3D menu worked perfectly but when I downloaded the full version, the 3D menu is gone.

3D option is not on my menu bar , and none of the tool setting show 3D options either. All Screen shots I have seen of Photoshop CS6 have this and I don't.

I'm experiencing a problem on BOTH systems where the main menu is missing a row of pixels (see image below). Both systems are running Windows XP Pro SP3. I have Open GL disabled on both systems. The weird thing is the missing row of pixels comes and goes while I'm using the application. Has anyone else noticed anything similar?
