I have designed a layout in Illustrator (CS5.1) for a webpage. I save for web with transparency and when I view in a browser there is a gray outline of the artboard from illustrator. How to remove this outline?
View 1 RepliesI run a HP DV6 Laptop with Core I7 and Windows 7. While editing my photos my computer appeared to over heat (which is a recurring issue that I'm working to resolve) during mid-post production. Upon restarting my computer, and when I accessed the same photos, I got a very lengthy loading icon when I clicked on a photo under the "Develop" tab. This problem recurred and in attempt to resolve the problem I decided to delete the library and re-import the files. Upon re-import, I cannot view all the photos in the library grid view. I'm not sure if my files are now corrupt from the sudden crash or is it just a data issue with LR?
I've attached a screen shot of what the problem library looks like...
is it possible to change the background color [outside the artboard] to a dark grey? because i really dont like having a big white screen while working in illustrator.when you normally work in illustrator, the artboard is indicated by a black border line but when you select the artboard editor tool, the background changes to dark grey, so it is possible and that is the effect im looking for, but then permanently.is it possible to do this via the preferences somewhere, or via a hack?

How do I get back to editing?
It was working fine. Then I just did a simple command (pattern a part) and the entire workspace blinked out. The first time it happened I hit UNDO and it was back. So I got out of the drawing and got back in and tried the pattern again. Same issue but this time when I hit UNDO it would not come back. I closed the file without saving and when I went back in the file the workspace is still nothing but white screen. In the browser everything is still visible except for those that I had already changed to invisible. I tried making an invisible to visible and nothing happened. I got out and tried opening the "old version" which should've been before any of this happened and it is also blank. I can go to an ipt or iam in the browser and hit open and it will open in another screen just fine. I just can't see my main assembly. I have Inventor 2012. It shows no errors or messages. I have even rebooted.
I looked thru the forum and found a past issue back in 2005 identical. I tried doing Find in Window on an item in the browser but for some reason that option is not even in the list when I right click.
Is there a shortcut to jump through multiple artboards in CS4? I keep going for Option - Page Up/Down like in InDesign/Acrobat.

But what is the real use fo the "outline view" ?
I am using Illustrator Cs6 on windows and when I used to switch to outline view there used to be a crosshair mark showing the center of shapes and the same mark for stray points, and about a week ago those marks have disappeared. I checked the attributes window to make sure the center mark is on and its still not showing centers in outline mode. Did i accidentally change a setting i didnt know about? if so is there a fix? those center crosshairs sure were useful...

1.) I dragged out vertical and horizontal guides from the rulers and then created a new art board. The new art board now has the horizontal guides carried over from the first art board. How can I have separate guides on each of my art boards? I am using art board rulers.
2.) Is there a way to layout vertical and horizontal guides on an art board and copy them over to a new blank art board?
i have around 500 eps formats images with different artboard size.
i need to resize the artboard to A4 size and the images to be placed in the centre of the artboard.
So I'm working on a website layout this morning with parts and pieces all over my artboard. I zoom out to 25% and everything on my artboard disappears. It's still there, just not visible. I did a little tinkering and it turns out the 27% and below has this effect.
I'm using CorelDaw X6 64-bit on Windows 7.
When I bring in a .sat file, I see these little "i" in the browser. The red Cross is dimmed. If I hover over the icon, it doesnt tell me anything. I can right click on Base2 and choose edit solid, and the "i" goes away, but something is still not right. I know something is wrong, because the mass is not correct for this part.
Notice the green check by "Base 3"? After I edit "Base 2", I do not have a check by it.
How do I get this to report the mass correcly.
When copying an iam + ipn, and making some changes, the browser suddently shows far too many parts or assemblies ?
Is there a way to "update" the browser?
How do I change the default toolbar background from dark gray to light gray in illustrator CS6? In the older versions, the toolbar backgrounds were light gray. It easier to read on light gray backgrounds. THe same question applies to Photoshop CS6. InDesign CS6 has light gray backgrounds.

The AI (Vector) file(s) in the zip file are to be utilized for all high-res. And commercial printing applications. It is an Adobe Illustrator file and can only be opened and/or utilized if you have this professional design software. All commercial printers will have access to utilize these files.
I got the adobe illustrator and I am trying to fix the logo and just can not get the size.
I've written a script with a ScriptUI interface, which other people will be using. I'd like to include a 'help' button in the interface, which ideally would connect to a web page with more details. (The alternative is to create the 'help' window in javascript, but the web page already exists and it would be a shame not to use it.)
From what I've read, other Creative Suite programs may be able to connect to the web with javascript, but apparently not Illustrator.
Is there a way to change the transparent background view which is by default the gray checker. I'd like to make it for example blue.
View 2 Replies View RelatedRecently I have had two assemblies change at random times to a monochrome color and I cannot change them back to their respective colors. I can open sub-assemblies and they show as the correct color but when I close them the main assembly and the recently open sub-assembly go back to monochrome. When placed on a drawing sheet they appear the correct color on the screen and printed in color. The Visual Style is Shaded With Edges.

Ive created a dwf with multiple sheets (an electrical set, in this example). I sent it to a client who marked it up in Autodesk Design Review and sent it back to me. I inserted it (insert/dwf markup) and it comes into the revit14 drawing file just fine but all the comments are on the SHEET and not in the view. This is very inconvenined becuase I must open the view, make the change, exit the view, edit the dwf comment and repeat over and over. How does one get/force the person doing the markup to work within the VIEW?

I've got a weird issue. Just spent some time on fixing up my logo. Ended up using both Text and creating my own/warping existing text to make the font.
Looks ok.
But anyways, I have a little bit of an issue. The center of the O (font not hand made) is not showing in NORMAL view but shows just fine in Wireframe.

Elevations existing ground gives in the band not the correct value, I putted everything in meters but it still doesn t match with the label that gives the correct elevation, same problem with the offset distance in the band.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm currently Building a Library Technology Hub that has 3 story atrium. I'm trying to create a 3d camera view that shows the multiple levels that open to the atrium. However, only the 1st floor and mezanine floor (within 1st floor ceiling heights) are in my 3d view. The rendred view shows as if I have a solid ceiling across the entire 1st floor. I am almost positive that this is an issue with my camera settings since my 2nd and 3rd floors are cut around the atrium opening. I have clicked on almost every option in my properties menu and am at a loss!
Just btw, I'm an intermediate level, self-taught revit user (I have used it on a daily basis for about a year now). I'm no guru, but I'm quite savvy on making things work like I want them to.
I have attached a test render of the space. the "ceiling" should be open above my mezanine, and extend to desk at the right and the lounge seating at the left. However, it has rendered as a single plane.
Trying to do two variations of an assembly using representations. I turned sub-assemblies off in different representations by unchecking "visibility." I can switch back and forth between representations in the assemby and the sub-assemblies go on and off, but drawing views where I've selected a given representation still show the "invisible" assemblies.
