Certain font styles in Illustrator are not showing up, Arial bold italic, for instance. Arial bold and Arial italic work, but I cannot select both. Photoshop and other apps display it without problem. I have re-installed the font, cleared my system font cache (Windows), and even tried putting the fonts into the "fonts" folder. Still no luck.

I'm not sure if this is related but when Times New Roman is selected I get a strange rounded font that is definitely not Times New. only Illustrator is affected.

I have not seen this issue happen in quite a while. I saw it on earlier releases pre-2013. But now after the Update2 build it seems my IDW's are not behaving properly.
Scenario:
1. Create model of a raw material (steel) stamped bracket. It receives its own part number
2. Create iam using the unpainted bracket and then assign a color (red) to represent a painted finish. This receives a new part number due to our MFG process.
3. Create iam model using other "painted" sub assembly models (step 2 for instance). New part number.
4. Create IDW but it shows the raw material (step 1) rather than the painted model. It should show the painted
I just upgraded from AutoCAD LT 2005 to AutoCAD LT 2012.  I commonly used a font that, on the 2005 version, was called a1.shx. It has been replaced, on the 2012 version, with archstyl.shx. When I go to "Manage Text Styles", under the "Font Name" there is a yellow triangle with an exclamation point in it before the font name "archstyl.shx". I am assuming this means that the font is not currently available on my system because it is replaced with the simplex.shx (which I read was the default alternate font under "substitute fonts" in the users guide). There is not a font style on my current system that suffices as a replacement to the font I used on the 2005 version of AutoCAD LT. Is there anyway to import the old font to AutoCAD 2012? Is there a way to put new fonts on my system so that I can find an adequate replacement?
How do I change the font styles of multiple mtext's.
Select all the boxes, type mo for properties, then change the style in the properties window. To make this simpler in the future I put all the text boxes in their own layer so I can use qselect to select them all quickly.
I am placing a Word document into InDesign CS6, and no matter what options I choose in the import options, the font styles are not imported into InDesign At the same time, InDesign CS3 imports all the styles perfectly from any Word file.
I am working on setting up exagerated (10X) section views. I see numerous redundant copies of every font family style listed when I select a font family STYLE of any typeface, such as Helvetica or Arial, for example. Â Throughout the day the list increases copies of each style exponentially by the hour. At the end of the day I am scrolling through 98 copies of Helvetica Bold to get to the next style, like Black. There should only be one Helv. Bold, one Black, one Condensed, and so on. Â My fonts are cleaned and organized frequently with any corrupted fonts being removed immediately. I use FontExplorer X, Font Doctor and other type apps to manage fonts because FontBook is still retarded.

I have fonts that I've installed in both my Windows XP and Windows 7 PCs. They show up in the Control Panel - Fonts and open, they show up in Word, but do not show up in Photoshop CS4. I see in the CS4 Mac forums that there is a way to register a font in CS4, but I can find nothing on doing that on a Windows PC.Â
I have a font called "Myriad" that i can access in Photoshop but i need to use it in Freehand but it is not displaying there, also it is not displaying in my fonts folder.
I have a ttf font called circuitb.ttf. I have used it in drawings on my ACadLT2002 on Windows XP SP3 and it works fine putting electical symbols in as text when I need them on lables fixed to equipment.
I have installed the curcuitb.ttf on my windows7 x64 machine but the same drawings opened up in LT2012 shows a W. i try and repaste in the ground symbol (which the character map says is latin W0 and it comes in as W.
how do I make it show as the symbol its suppose to be?
I'm perfectly happy with the TrueType font (BankGothic Md BT), but all the style settings change to the T1 equivalent every time I close, and when I open the file again the T1 text does not show up. I can go through and reset all the styles, then re-apply them, but it wastes a lot of time.
I'm in a Photoshop document, and I'm working with two different text areas. Both area registering as 14px in size in the Type menu, and yet, they're radically different in size. One is tiny, whilst the other is at least twice, maybe thrice the size. Why is this happening? Â I've checked there's no overlapping text areas and things like that, everything should be fairly normal, it just isn't. Â I'm using Adobe Photoshop CS6 v13.1.2 x64 for Mac, running on a Macbook Pro Retina 1.83ghz and 8GB ram.
I manually cancelled tons fo fonts that I previously installed in Windows/Fonts folder but Photoshop CS4 still shows the font names in the font list and I can't get rid of them..What should I do to have only available fonts in the list? Now available fonts are shown with name and sample, missing fonts just have names (it obviously can't preview them because they are not in the font folder)...
After opening a file from another designer, this Chinese font has taken over my "omens – regular" font file. Anytime I use it, it converts to this font and each time I need to change a font weight, I must do it manually. As you can imagine, I use our company font all day so this slows me down quite a bit. Have you heard of this? It seems like some sort of font virus. I've researched removing it, yet can't seem to find the original font file to get rid of, which is even weirder."
We tried moving the font family to the trash, emptying the trash, rebooting the machine, and re-adding the font family and it still is happening.
Is there a way to specify a given system font that should be substituted for a given missing font? For example, the document I'm working with contains CourierStd and CourierStd-Bold which are not installed on my system. I would like to set Illustrator so that any time a document that contains these fonts is opened, Courier New and Courier New Bold are substituted automatically.
An eps file opens without any problem with the preview as .pdf on Mac OS 10.7.5In illustrator when I open the same file, the main font is not recognized and no warning said the font is not available.
I installed acad 2014 and copied all my font files into the directory that cad says it looks in under the support paths, and the main font used is a true text font (penguin) and it is not showing up right.

How do you apply certain contour label styles to certain surface styles (i.e. When I have an existing surface i want the default contour labels to be an "existing contour" style). Â Right now the default is a "finished contour" label style for all surfaces.
How do update the styles library to keep from getting the Styles Conflict error box. I have used the Standard.dwg file that loaded with Inventor 2012 but everytime I change styles and save the changes in a new template in reverts back to the library definitions.
I used to be able to select 'NO' in the LIbrary option of the Projects Folder but that optiion no longer exists.
We've created a new parts list style for a border.When the border tempalt file is on the c: drive...everything works hunky dory...parts list, revision tables, etc.But as soon as we copy and paste that border into the template library folder for new drgs...the parts list style is missing from the local styles?
So to make it appear on the new document...the style manager has to be set at all styles and the new parts list style has to be saved to the document?What aren't we doing to make it appear on the template?
Also note that because the drawing border template is in a template folder as part of the design projects...it is NOT editable...so it has to be edited outside the template folder.
