May 30, 2012I had posted in another thread about wanting to clean up a signature and make it look more font like. I tried that and it seemed to be pretty difficult due to the amount of random in a hand written signature.
So I think I'd like to approach this from the other direction. I have a font I like but I don't want it to look like the font (way too common). Is there a way to alter the font (not the entire font set or even to create a new font but just for a one word Logo)?
I'd ideally like to connect two of the letters and also modify the shapes of the letters just a bit.

Apr 4, 2012I have fonts that I've installed in both my Windows XP and Windows 7 PCs. They show up in the Control Panel - Fonts and open, they show up in Word, but do not show up in Photoshop CS4. I see in the CS4 Mac forums that there is a way to register a font in CS4, but I can find nothing on doing that on a Windows PC.Â

Apr 3, 2012I have a ttf font called circuitb.ttf. I have used it in drawings on my ACadLT2002 on Windows XP SP3 and it works fine putting electical symbols in as text when I need them on lables fixed to equipment.
I have installed the curcuitb.ttf on my windows7 x64 machine but the same drawings opened up in LT2012 shows a W. i try and repaste in the ground symbol (which the character map says is latin W0 and it comes in as W.
how do I make it show as the symbol its suppose to be?

Feb 4, 2013Certain font styles in Illustrator are not showing up, Arial bold italic, for instance. Arial bold and Arial italic work, but I cannot select both. Photoshop and other apps display it without problem. I have re-installed the font, cleared my system font cache (Windows), and even tried putting the fonts into the "fonts" folder. Still no luck.

I'm not sure if this is related but when Times New Roman is selected I get a strange rounded font that is definitely not Times New. only Illustrator is affected.
Photoshop :: Showing Two Different Sizes For Same Font Size
Feb 20, 2013I'm in a Photoshop document, and I'm working with two different text areas. Both area registering as 14px in size in the Type menu, and yet, they're radically different in size. One is tiny, whilst the other is at least twice, maybe thrice the size. Why is this happening?

I've checked there's no overlapping text areas and things like that, everything should be fairly normal, it just isn't.

Jun 26, 2009I manually cancelled tons fo fonts that I previously installed in Windows/Fonts folder but Photoshop CS4 still shows the font names in the font list and I can't get rid of them..What should I do to have only available fonts in the list? Now available fonts are shown with name and sample, missing fonts just have names (it obviously can't preview them because they are not in the font folder)...

Sep 24, 2012My vertical font spacing changes on its own from time to time.Â
Created a template where my font space was 100% and all looked well and positioned correctly. Used the template to create a few thousand files over 6 months. Then opened the template and some of the files I created and found the font was spaced out more than usual. Somehow Corel interpreted my font spacing differently.  I checked the font file and it was the same date/time as before.
I changed the template to 92% to bring it down to the required "correct" position and gradually "fixed" all the files i had created to the 92% spacing. After 6 months or so, I opened the template and a few of the files that had been created using the 92% spacing and all were "squished"... oi.. i changed the template back to 100% and began the long haul changing each of the created files to 100%.
Now i just checked and the spacing is too squished and if i change it to 110% vertical, it appears spaced correctly.
I havent changed the version of corel. I havent changed the computer. I havent changed the font (still the original one from the original source file). I reloaded the font using the original source file several times for kicks and it still requires the 110% spacing to be positioned correctly.

Jun 5, 2011I upgraded from CorelDraw 12 to X5 when I upgraded from XP to Windows 7. IÂ thought I transferred all my fonts to the new system. But often when I open old CorelDraw 12 files, X5 tells me that fonts are missing and it offers substitutes which really screw up the document. The fonts it says are missing tend to be fonts I have never heard of! The latest is Centaur.
If I do a search for 'Centaur', a copy of my old system's AdobeFnt.lst comes up, as well as AdobeSysFnt08.lst and AdobeFnt05.lst (I have parts of my old HD on my E:DATA/ drive). I don't know how to open them or how they got to the old disk. Should these be in some way incorporated into my X5 files? Is Centaur a font that used to be in CorelDraw and no longer is? By the way, I have the boxed version, so it should have all the fonts.

Sep 13, 2011When I export a jpg file from my laptop with windows 7, the file has a lock on it. I don't have the drawing locked but the file shows up locked when I try to email or view and the clarity of the jpg is fuzzy. I don't have this problem when working on my computer with windows xp. Also when the jpg is  locked, it does not read on my mobile phone. What do I have set wrong?
Also on my XP computer when exporting the page is black but exports fine. I would rather see the file I am exporting, I have looked at all the settings but don't see why this is happening.

Oct 9, 2009I'm working on coreldraw x3 and when I try and use one of my installed fonts such as LHF Lincoln it's in the drop down menu but once I try and change text to the LHF lincoln font the sample text goes blank. When I find the LHF font in the drop down menu it doesn't show an example of the font style like the rest of the fonts I have installed. I tried to reinstall but no luck. Any font I have installed that doesn't show a preview of the font, I can't use. Most of them are OTF fonts but I have other OTF fonts that work fine. Why a font in my font list shows up but goes blank when I try and apply the font style to some text?

Jun 10, 2013I am running x6 on windows 7 64 bit. Recently Corel has started displaying (font not found) next to some of my fonts. When I open Bitsream Navigator it shows that the fonts are installed and in use. I have also checked and made sure that the fronts are installed on the computer itself.
