View 5 RepliesI am having a problem with AutoCAD crashing without fully loading. I will get the splash screen and the application background will momentarily appear with "AutoCAD 2011" in the title bar then it will all disappear with no visible error message. By checking ACD2011ENUAdlm.log in C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataAutodeskAdlm I get the following error message:

Recently my CS5 Photoshop crashes a lot. It usually happens when existing file is being opened. The files that I open most of the time does not have some font activated, since I recently moved my stuff to new machine.
My system is MacPro5,1 Mid 2012, 3.33 6-core with 32 GB memory, OS X 10.7.5; I have done all suggested OS & Photoshop updates.I use FontExplorer X Pro for my font management. Here is the crash report:

Having trouble with AutoCAD 2012 when saving to earlier versions? I can't save it down to any other version except for 2012, without the system crashing completely.
Also, from time to time we get the crash when editing MText.
I'm having a problem with the files saved from Inventor, regardless of type. I have no problem saving new files or opening files, however, any time I try and save changes to a file, inventor crashes. Also if I try and move a file, windowes explorere gets stuck at "descovering items." Renaming a file crahses explorer.
One of the files is attached.
I'm having issues with the 64-bit version of Photoshop CS6. Immediately after attempting to open an existing file or create a new one, Photoshop completely freezes, with no error messages/dialogues, and I end up having to force close it from Windows Task Manager. This happens every single time. I had this same issue with the beta, and it continues into the full release. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing it multiple times to no avail.
I haven't had this issue with previous versions of Photoshop (CS 5 & 5.5), and the 32-bit version of CS6 runs fine. However, for obvious reasons, I would prefer to use the 64-bit version of the software to take full advantage of what my machine is capable of.I'm running this on a HP Envy 17 laptop, with an Intel Core i7 processor (1st-gen), an AMD Radeon HD 5850M graphics card, and 8GB of RAM.
When I make a change to my image (paste, deletes, fills or make layer adjustments) the picture doesn't update until I zoom in or out or click on another tool.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter an apparent successful install of Photoshop CS4, both with a valid serial number and as a trial, PS crashes at the blue splash screen with "encountered error and needs to close", and just shuts down.
My system is a Core2Quad, 9550, running Vista Ultimate 64, 8 gb ram, with a ATI 4850 512 MB card. This is a virgin computer built for Lightroom 2 (which runs like hell on the machine) and PS, with NO other apps running except virus protection. (AVS? that came with the mother board.)
support files, all of the MB, Vista, and ATI drivers updated, talked to support for one hour, and still no resolution. I do know that it generates the GPUInitfail file, but does still not launch or get any further after it generates that file. I have cleared temp, prefetch, re-installed several times and still nothing.
I am working in AutoCad MEP 2013 and have some drawings where I have xref'd in a tif file for a background. When I initially open the drawing the tif has to be reloaded. If I do this right away after opening the drwing it says it cant be found. If I wait let's say 5-10 minutes and go back and try again then it will load. the tif is set to relative path. It's like the computer is taking a long time to find the file. This is not happening with every drawing in which I have an xref attached to a drawing. Sometimes all the background load immediately and sometimes they behave like this.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis behavior started in LR2. Thinking back it may be related to OSX upgrade to Snow Leopard. After I hit print, the print job is sent to the printer and almost immediately “disappears” like nothing was sent. I have also gotten an error message of “/Library/Printers/EPSON/InkjetPrinter2/Filter/rastertoescpll.app/Con tents/MacOS/rastertoescpll failed”. This only occurs in Lightroom. My workaround is to take the image into Photoshop and print from there. This happens with both of my Epson printers and also with an HP LaserJet, so I think it is a LR problem and not an Epson problem. All drivers for all printers updated to latest available for Snow Leopard. The behavior continued with LR3. Fixed itself for awhile, then in the middle of printing a series of prints, started again. I cannot print from within LR at all. MacBook Pro 2.16 core 2 duo, OSX 10.6.4, LR3, Photoshop CS3.
Through google searches I found the “rastertoescpll failed” issues reported after Snow Leopard, but they were related to Epson printers, and not just LR related and fixed with driver updates. This has not worked for me.
I really like the LR print module.
I'm having an issue with Illustrator 6. I had a previous verison (CS4 and CS5) that was used to created some documents. I'm having trouble with the fonts used translating to the new version even though in the font library, all the fonts I need are listed there.
Is there an issue with backwards compatability?
Our company is using 2012Lt and has a couple (3) regular templates we use. The problem is I have to keep going back to the templates and clean them out (txt styles, layers, etc) and what I suspect is happening is that someone starts a new dwg does some work and the auto save kicks in before they "save as".
Question, is there a way to force someone to "Save As' immediately after they start a new dwg?
My GIMP 2.8. closes down immediately after exporting an image. When I overwrite it, it doesn't happen. How can I prevent GIMP from closing down after exporting images?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI started having this problem today: Whenever I try to insert a block (either from the command line or the pull-down menu), the dialog box appears for a fraction of a second and immediately vanishes. There are no options on the command line after this, and the main window loses focus. At first I thought it was somehow ending up behind the main window, but that's not the case. Hitting escape brings focus back and the program runs fine otherwise until I try and use the insert command again.
I installed the SP1 update earlier today, but this problem didn't start happening until hours after that. I then tried to do a fresh install, and the problem was still there before I reinstalled SP1, so I don't think that's the problem.
This first starting happening after creating a block, the same way I always do, but I don't see what I could've done. This problem isn't limited to a specific drawing of mine, it happens with all my files as well as new ones.
I have an infuriating problem with Elements 4 crashing immediately after an install on mac OSX 10.4.11, I was given the computer, which still had Elements 4 on it although it always crashed on opening, i removed the program and bought a 2nd hand hard copy of Elements 4 from eBay.When i install the new copy it opens up with the "credits" but at the bottom right it still shows the past owners name as licensee briefly, then crashes before fully opening.
View 3 Replies View RelatedProbably a very simple problem, but I have just installed the program for the first time and do not yet know my way around it. But when I pull photos in from my digital camera directory, they immediately display a warmer orange hue. However, I have not touched any of the settings at all. If I immediately export the photo, it matches the original on my HD. So there seems to be some kind of calibration problem with the real jpeg colors and the colors on screen in Lightroom. What can I do about this?
FURTHER DETAILS:
When I hit IMPORT and have the photo selection window come up, all the colors are fine. When I select a photo and actually import it, the colors are orangey. Where the heck is this change of color coming from? All I have done is install the program! I haven't adjusted anything.
When trying to open, then immediately the error occurs.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHow can I tell which version of Illustrator my .ai file was created in? If I try to open it in a new version of Illustrator it just tells me it was created with an "older version". I need to know which version, as I'm being told by a programmer that I need to update all my Illustrator 9 .ai files. I need a way to identify them.
View 10 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to ungroup the elements of an imported pdf in Illustrator 6? Do you have to change the settings in Adobe Acrobat first to allow the elements to import individually rather than a group?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've grown to accept that workspaces can't be simply exported from a previous version of AI and imported into the next one. So I painstakingly set up my workspace in the 32 bit version of Illustrator CS6, all the panels laid up over 2 screens in the way I use them most eficiently to suit my personal workflow, thinking that the 64 bit version would also have the same workspace available once I start it. Silly me! Why should I have thought things could be so straightforward? Well OK, they don't share workspaces - so how do I export my workspace that I saved in the 32 bit AI to the 64 bit version? That must be do-able surely - if we need to switch versions obviously we want to maintain consistency.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm very unfamiliar with this software, and am not actually doing anything on it, just need to save a file for some printers who only have Version 11 or lower compatibility. How can I downsave.
View 1 Replies View Related I found a big problem (for me ) of the font showing. Since i used CS5 before , the font can show normally. But I found that some of the type cannot be show but instead with " square " in CS6.

I recently created a file in Illustrator CS6 (Creative Cloud version), and saved it as PDF with illustrator editing capabilities preserved. It saved fine, but when I opened the file in Illustrator CS6 again for more editing today, it gave me an earlier version of the file instead of the latest version that I saved last night. However, the file opened correctly in Quick Look, Preview and Photoshop CS6. I've tried to make a copy of the file, and open the copy in a different folder, as well as deleting illustrator preferences.I don't want to spend another 1.5 hours to redo things that I've done.

Photoshop CS6 doesn't recognize my NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675M GPU?

After following the instruction now Photoshop CC is supposely using my NVIDIA GPU, but it immediately crashed after launching, for both 32 bits and 64 bits. My NVIDIA driver version is 320.49 600 series, the latested one I just updated. If I deselect the NVIDIA option in the control panel I no longer suffer the crash problem but as you know there is a reported problem with Intel HD4000 integrated GPU where screen flickering keeps happening if you use a toolbox. To avoid the problem the only thing I can do is to deselect the use GPU option in CC option (changing the mode advanced setting doesn't work). By deselcting the GPU option get rid of the problem but there is another problem with zooming: it cannot zoom in real time anymore, instead it's having a toolbox where you choose a reagion and it will jump to that region, and I can only zoom in by doing this, not zooming out.
So basically I had a problem with NVIDIA which crashes CC immediately and a problem with Intel HD4000 integrated GPU with flickering screen and another problem with no GPU selected where I cannot zoom in real time. Whatever I do always give me some sets of problem that I can't solve.BTW I haven't try CS6 yet, I may proceed to download a trial copy and I thought CC and CS6 are using the same core. Nevertheless, those problem should definately be looked into.
I'm attempting to use CS3 on a Dell laptop- 64 bit- Windows 7.
When first installed it worked fine, then suddenly it was non-functional. It will open, but ANY request at all will cause it to freeze. I have to close it through Task Manager. I get no error messages, and when I went in to view the event viewer there is nothing there under Applications.
I've changed the default printer to a non-network but haven't done much else as I don't have administrative privileges on this (work) computer. We tried uninstalling and reinstalling and that did nothing.
I just installed the adobe cs6 creative suite yesterday or the day before, but today was the first time I tried to launch PS. Each successive time that I've tried, I have gotten these two messages immediately after the program finishes loading:
I can't go to the preferences panel to attempt to fix the problem addressed in the first dialogue because PS will not stay open long enough to allow me to do so. I also googled the issue and the majority of people seemed to say that holding down ctrl+alt+shift as the program loaded would present me with a dialogue that would fix the problem, but when I tried it nothing happened.
I installed both PS CC and BR CC for a second time and received and installed the first updates for CR 8.1 but still I cannot open PS CC without it closing on me immediately again. And when I try to open any photo in PS CC from Bridge CC I get asked if I want to save that file before I close PS CC. With no alternative to do anything else.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAnytime I import a piece of Clipart and I go to the Trace bitmap button>outline trace>line art the program freezes immediately. The diagbox doesn't even pop up, nor does it say "not responding" at the top.
I am running Win 8 but it has been running for months without a hitch. I have cleaned out temp files and reinstalled the suite and nothing happened.
Just upgraded to MAP 3D 2013 - when I click on the icon or type command qvlayout, the view of the layouts opens momentarily but then closes again instantly. Seems to do it randomly - I'll be using the command and it works as per usual but then it starts to act up. Doesn't seem to matter where I place the cursor, or what (if any) other drawings I have open. I've never had this issue with earlier versions..
