I have an image on a web page, see imageA, but the image is originally chopped at the left (see original image B). I'd like the imageA to stretch most of the way across the white space. I've enlarged it and tried to crop, but it eliminates what I'd like to be shown, which is what appears in imageA.

I guess Im asking for some tips/hints on what to look for and if there is any tell tale signs of editing that would indicate that yes the image has been altered, now I know that there is no way to restore the images to thier originl content but if I could tell if the images have been edited that would be good enough in this case..
Ok so im working on a project
An animated email signature where an image of an arrow moves from the left to the right of the screen - easily done with a few frames and animation in gimp the arrow needs to move behind a paragraph of text which has the persons name, work address, email and phone numbers.
So the question remains is it possible to have one fixed frame (persons contact details) in a project of say 20 frames (which make the moving arrow behind the text)?? AND can
I do web development and I am attempting to see if I can ween off Photoshop for what I do, (mainly cutting up images) is there a way to have Gimp view a PS file and include the hierarchy of the layers that are originally laid out in Photoshop?

When selecting a letter it's chopped up in to a bunch of smaller images, thus rendering it impossible to change the font. The customer wants the title on their business card to be un-bolded and I am unable to edit the title. How can I release the type back to an editable form?

View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter using these instructions (below) for making the background transparent for my logo, their is still a bit of white around a small section. Is their a way to remove the left over white?
- use select by color tool, with treshold of 0, no feathering and no antialiasing. Click on the background. This will select only pure white pixels in the background
- grow the selection by 2 pixels. The selection now includes the background, and the border pixels (anti-aliasing)
- use Color/Color to alpha with white (it will only applies to background and logo border)
When I start a new project and I start editing the photo (i.e. drawing on it with the paintbrush) I encounter a problem when I try to select certain colors and delete. So lets say I have three colors in my image. I do a little drawing and editing on my image and then I want each separate color to be a separate layer. So I select two of the colors and delete them. Any things that isn't that third color or where the two colors I deleted used to be now has these "editing lines" is what I want to call them. You can see faint lines where I had made slight changes to the image with lets say the paintbrush. HOW DO I GET RID OF THOSE LINES?

Somehow I changed the bottom to Airbrush tools. I tried resetting tool defaults. No luck I still have only the airbrush tools at the bottom of the left dock.
Downloaded Gimp 2.8.6 the other day, when loading it up for the first time, there where no left toolbar and photo window. Tried to find it but nothing.

I need to mix left to right and right to left (hebrew) text in a textbox. How can I do that? If I copy/paste hebrew text the text is inserted as if it was left to right, that is: reversed. Can I somehow work around that?
View 2 Replies View RelatedRecieved dwg to modify that I think was originally made in Solidworks. In the drawing each projection and the isometric view appears in a separate cell that can zoom in and out with the mouse wheel independently of the other projections.
I want to be able to lock these cells if that's what they nare into only one 2D drawing so I can make the modifications.
When I try to scale the objects the item balloons and dimensions don't scale. When I try to copy w/ base point to another template, I only get the dimensions and item balloons. When I delete the border in the cell then the object is also deleted.

I work with X3 at home and I wonder how I can do this. I have a image and What I try to achieve is that it fades out to white from the left to the rigth side. So on the left side the image is fully seen and on the right seen it turns into white.

I am trying to edit an Adjustment Brush in the Develop module.
I want to fine tune the coverage area for the brush.
I can use Ctrl +/- keys to zoom in/out, and the Page Up/Down keys to scroll up and down when zoomed in, but there does not seem to be any way to scroll right and left when zoomed in. The key shortcut lists I've seen don't list anything for scroll left and right. How to scroll the image left and right when zoomed in ?
I have an image that was originally scanned as a bitmap. It need some minor levels adjustment. I can make the adjustments just fine. Everything looks good on the screen but when I flatten it or export it as pdf the adjustments disappear, ie reverts to original image. I have tried converting to grayscale and RGB. I've even tried copying the image and pasting into a new document - nothing seems to work.

View 1 Replies View Relatedwhen I access in Lightroom 4.4 a folder which had been edited originally (and imported) in Lightroom 3, the options and settings for Developing and editing in LR 4 change to appear like the old options in LR3 (Exposure, Recovery, Fill Light and Blacks, instead of Highlights, shadow, whites and blacks etc..). Why is Lightroom 4 doing this. Most of the files I am trying to edit have not been touched before in LR 3 but were simply imported originally into the catalogue from LR3.
View 1 Replies View RelatedDue to consolidating space on my hard drive I changed the location of the orginaly linked files (MXF footage). Having relinked in both Pr and Ae (CS6 latest updates as of posting date) to the new file location all looks good until I try to view the horizontally flipped clip in the sequence. If I look at the footage on Ae its all there, every frame. In the effects for the clip the opacity is as it should be -100%- but there is no image. I see the background footage (working with green screen foreground -hence the Ae project using Keylight plug-in). The non flipped footage from the exact same Ae file is as clear as day.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using Photoshop CS5 with all current updates installed on a Mac running Lion. I am having a problem with the handling of the camera raw format (specifically .arw) and how Photoshop handles the format.
My first issue is that upon loading the format into Photoshop, the program is cropping a bit of the image from both the left and the right. I have not found a way to stop this from happening.
Another issue is file size. A client is having issue with the file size presented. They are providing me an ARW file that is 14.8 MB and I am making edits and provided them with a large jpg from photoshop (jpg qaulity turned all the way up) and they are getting a jpg at 9.7 MB. They are concerned that I am giving them a less than quality result.
I know that any conversion from a camera raw format to a high resolution jpg will result in a lower file size and that has been explained however the client has taken the raw format parsed it through Mac Preview, saved it, and resulted in a larger file size than I could provide in Photoshop.
This then becomes a confusing situation to handle.
Questions:
a) How to explain the lower file size happening in Photoshop to the client (what is lost?)
b) Why they can use mac preview and get a larger file size that I can at full resolution jpg in Photoshop?
c) Is there a way I can make this client happy without moving to a tif file format?
d. Why is Photoshop cropping the .arw file?
what setting, the end mp4 video will always have black vertical margins. I never have this problem when generating videos with Quicktime using the same source.
The source dimension is 4256x2832, and specifying this as output size will also create the bars.
Wonder if can Can Image stretch from left or right or top or bottom side instead of diagonal ?
Reason is picture or tiff not correct length to the object of build.
I did scale to right length on "X" but the "Y" is off so how ?
I know that in Photoshop have stretch all side whatever I want but not in autocad 2011

I have difficult masks that were created in LR3 and took alot of time due to feathers on a complicated background. I do not want to have to re-mask everything in LR4. When I have imported my files to LR4 the original LR3 mask is still present. However, the sliders for Temp, Tint, Hightlights, Shadows, Saturation, Noise, Moire and Defringe are missing. I want to do localized noise control to keep feather sharpness so I need the Noise slider.
If I work on a photo that had no LR3 mask all sliders are available. If a mask from LR3 exists I am missing sliders. URL...
I'm working on a job that requires recreating vintage box artwork. This involves recomposing scanned images into a new layout, recreating text from matched fonts - that sort of thing. Unfortunately, some of the scanned images (originally printed offset press in cmyk) were printed with one or more of the plates out of register, creating a halo effect on one side. Can this be corrected in PhotoPaint? Is there a way to create each channel as an object which could be moved to realign the colors and then flattened again?
