View 15 RepliesI'm looking for a plugin that will merge one layer with all of the individual layers below it. So this would be the equivalent of duplicating one layer multiple times and then moving each duplicate between all the layers below and then merging the duplicate layers down to each original individual layer.
It could be seen as putting an ace on top of the deck, duplicating that ace 51 times, and then putting a duplicate ace in between each of the cards below and then merging each duplicate ace card down to each of the other individual 51 cards below in the deck.
I've found allot of nice multi-layer plugins (Like "LayerGroups") on the GIMP plugin registry that have worked doing things that I need, but now I'm looking for this one on the GIMP plugin registry and I'm not having any luck.
I need to edit several video frames in order to blur someone's face in the video and it would be useful to "enqueue" files. What I would like to obtain is that when I have edited, saved and closed image1, GIMP would automatically open image2 and so on.

My code crashed. If I catch exception it is eInvalidInput exception. I don't know what to do as it is a simple code segment I don't know hot to fix it.
I noticed my layers panel became closed every time I start Photoshop cs6. I tried to create new workspace with open panel but that's had no effect, panel is closed after the restart of Photoshop.

I have a file in layers that I saved in xcf so that I could later edit the layers. However, when I re-opened the file I discovered I could not edit some of those layers.
Previously I saved-as the file under another name so I could export it as a flattened bitmap. It is those layers that I cannot edit in the original xcf file.
They show up in the layers box and I can highlight them, even turn off visibility. But I cannot select them on the file and edit them. I've tried raising the layers to the top of the layer stack, but that makes no difference.
I'm trying to move text in a PSD file that I opened in Gimp. I've recorded a Screencast video here, (removed link because image is not quite ready to be shared with the outside world;-) which shows what I'm trying to do.
Basically, I have a line of text which is several layers deep that says "IS THE NORM". I need to move the word "the" over to the left a little because it's a little too close to the word "norm".
However, when I select it and Cut, nothing happens. I tried locking the layer, even though I don't really know what that means - just saw it on YouTube and figured I'd try it - but no luck.
Is there a keystroke to get to layers blend mode.

I open the png files with the option "Open as layers" and then I edit the name of each layer setting the delay and the mode, for example "layer1(1000 ms)(replace)", "layer2(5000 ms)(replace)", ...
If I go to "Filters->Animation->Reproduce" the animation is OK. But if I export the file to a .gif file, the delay between layers is the specified in the Export options and not the delay which I set in the name of the layers.
How can I export a .gif file with the delay specified in the name of layers?
I have seen mention of a utility called xcf2png which can extract layers from a XCF file and write them to a PNG, but it seems there is no Windows version.
Any way of doing this under Windows/DOS? I just want to extract a layer by name and write it to a PNG file with the same name as the layer.
Or even better - searches a XCF file for layers that (say) start with an underscore and exports only those layers to separate named PNG files.
Is it possible to retrieve the layers structure in a plain text file or in a CSV or in a TSV file from an XCF project ?

But the next day, all I see was a blank screen on the GIMP, I check the "Windows" menu, go to the "Recently closed docks" and said "empty", it got erased completely on the tool only. The grid level, my other files, ect. is there, but the toolbox is completely erased for no reason.

Is there any way to make Photoshop delete (or move to Recycle Bin, doesn't matter) a file in an Action?
Basically at the moment I manually open a picture, then I activate my Action which does a bunch of automated things, saves a .png copy, closes the file. I would like my Action to also remove the original file.
(I cannot use batch processing because the picture names do not follow a logical pattern, therefore I still wish to open the files myself.)
I got a .psb-document with a adjustmentlayer>solid color as a background. The color is a Pantone 354-C. When I save my document (CMYK), and then reopen it, I no longer get the Pantone color library but the default color picker box. I see no visible change in color though so I'm not sure if the color changes. If I click the color library button in my adjustment layer, it automatically pics the PMS color beneth the 354-C (that is 355 C) and I see a change in color. So I have to repick 354-C again.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have been a having a repeating problem with text in AutoCAD. For some reason when re-opening my file some annotative text is know magically different. Prior to closing the file my annovative text is only set to one scale and the text width is a specific size. Then when I re-open the file, the text now has 4 different scales and the width has shrunk to completely different, casing all my text to jumble and be illegible. To be more specific when I say width of text if I look in the properties window the setting "Model defined width" is different (always much smaller). This a particularly frustrating as I cannot override this setting when selecting in properties and have to stretch each text box back to size manually. I am currently using AutoCAD LT 2013.
