I place a line on the page using the 2-point line tool. Later I want to move one end of the line. However, every selection, shift key and gesture I try wants to treat the line as a 2-D shape instead... there seems no way to just move one end.
I try to create a new pipe dynamic block. But I have a problem with my block. In the block, the distance2 I wanna change to some sizes follow the table. And the center line, it changes follow the sizes table, and must be center line when I change pipe size. I can not do it. How to make the block working correctly.
how to mirror about a line, but the line was outside the object.
I now have a need to mirror about a line but the line is partially inside the object (so after mirroring the object would be overlapped). When I select both objects and try to create the mirror, the "axis" of the reflection is simply the edge of the object, not the line.
When the line was outside, that worked simply because when you selected both objects the line brought the outside of both selected objects to that point so it simply mirrored / reflected at that point (the line). So the line was not truly acting as a point of reflection. Hope that made sense.
I think I'm about to buy Cadtools from Macromonster but I would like to know if Draw has a way of acheiving this. Hey I may find out Cadtools can't reflect when the line is inside the object.
I would like to add the effect of hand stitched thread around some of my designs. The line tool can change a line to dashes but this is a bit too uniform for hand stitching. I have seen a tutorial on doing this in Photoshop where a brush is made with a few small different length strokes. this is then spaced out and made to follow a path. how to create a hand stitch effect using X5 that looks like natural hand stitching...
I am working with vector art that has lines that either look like they were cut off and not finished out or extend to the edge of the page so they are straight when they should actually be curved.
Is there any way to take a straight line or part of an image and curve it with ease or will I have to redraw or alter each line?
I'm out of practice with Corel since it has been several years since using it. I'm trying to create a point on top of a line without adding a point to an existing line but for the life of me I can't figure out how. I know I can create a new line and drag the points to where I want them on the line but I just simply want to create a point on top of the line.
with creating a new line in a text box on Photoshop Elements 4.0. I've tried everything -- lengthening the text box to no end, changing the text orientation, copying and pasting text rather than typing it in, just typing straight, pressing enter at the end of the line, and nothing works.
The project I am working on includes revit data produced from a point cloud. The file I was given has two levels. The first level is fine however; the second level is set 1 foot too high. When I adjust the level elevation (drop it down by 1 foot), all of the elements associated with level two move with it. What I want to do is move the level line without adjusting the associated revit items.
I have a block with 10 rectangles in each with 3 lines of text. Each 3 lines of text is attributed to a tag
so the first line is IN-0 DESC1, second line is IN-0 DESC2 third line is IN-0 DESC3
I have deleted the data from
IN-3 DESC1 IN-3 DESC2 IN-3 DESC3
and i want to move the data from
IN-4 DESC1 IN-4 DESC2 IN-4 DESC3 etc
up to the position of
IN-3 DESC1 IN-3 DESC2 IN-3 DESC3
can this be done?
other wise i will have to click on
IN-4 DESC1 cut the data then open up IN-3 DESC1 and paste it then repeat for IN-4 DESC2 cut the data then open up IN-3 DESC2 and paste it then repeat for etc
On a new transparent layer, I have drawn a straight line with the pencil tool. I select the Box Selection tool to select the whole line that I just drawn. I switch to the Move tool and made sure to move just the selection.
At this point, I would think that I would be able to move the line but only the box that is shown by the Box Selection tool moves. The line doesn't move at all. However, when I tell the Move tool to move the selected layer, the whole canvas moves, including the line. Why can't I just select just the line and move it?
When trying to stretch of move a line in AutoCAD using the grips, it will move additional lines that are touching. It does not do this for every line in the DWG. It seems to be random. They are not grouped. What could be the problem.
RE: Autocad LT not able to move an entity along a line a specific distance using cursor snap and dynamic input
What I want to do is move a line on an angle a certain distance in the direction of the line itself in this case 20mm
What used to happen is you'd simply select move and an endpoint on the line then hover over the mid or opposite endpoint of the line and enter 20 and it would move 20mm along the trajectory of the line.
The same set of actions now only seem to allow you to move the entity 100mm (the default value) along itself in the correct direction. If you enter 20 it does not move and if you enter 50 it moves 100!
I drew a Gmask with 4 points and broke the handles. My questions is:
1. How do I know when 2 or more points are exactly on the same vertical or horizontal line? 2. How do i get them to align? 3. How do I move 2 or more points together? (Control select and drag)?
I have some general knowledge in lisp coding. But I can't seem to figure this one out (even to get started). What I want to do is make a lisp that:
- selects a line
then
- select any amount of text (any type)
then
- moves all the text to that selected line without rotating the text
if a line is perfectly horizontal then move the text of the y axis.
if the line is vertical then move the text of the x axis.
or there can be a prompt asking the user to chose the angle or axis in which the text will move (say if they want to move the text to a slanted line, you can choose to move the text on an angle, while keeping the same format and not rotating the text, or you can ask the user if they want to move it only vertically or horizontally)
I would really like the code to integrate into my autocad.
I'm new to Illustrator and perhaps it's not the best software of CS6 Master for doing this, but:
I have a few (13) circles, they are connected with lines (one line from the centre of a circle to the centre of the next one, so 13 connecting lines). I need to move the circles around in order to create the appearance that suits me best, but I want the connecting ending to move together (see picture below). I need to do this often and get an immediate visual feedback. How do I do it? Am I using the wrong software altogether?
We have a title block wherein the Location attribute is normally a single line, but occasionally is two or more lines. Within the title block this attribute is surrounded by lines, left, right, top, bottom.
We would like the bottom line to move down when the user adds additional lines to the attribute.
How do I move the text closer together in this masthead. I want the Rubia Advertising to be just above the line and the phone number to be just below it.
When I place an object on the stage, I can move or resize is uzing the handles. However when I enter the coordinates or dimensions manualy nothing hapens.
I already tried to reset the workspace (F8 during startup).
