Paint.NET :: How To Move A Line
May 3, 2012I created a line, and I want to move that line.
When I press on the move selected pixels, it moves the whole section and the move button does not move the line.
How can I move a line that I created?

Illustrator :: Thin White Line Between Line Art And Live Paint Fill?
Jun 25, 2012I am using live paint to paint cartoon character illustrations. The artwork is brought into Illustrator CS3 and live traced. Then I convert it to a live paint group and use the paint bucket to fill. Everything looks fine no matter how much I zoom in. If I bring the AI file into Photoshop CS6 I can see a thin white line between the black line art and the fill. This is most noticeable where black meets black. I can also see this sometimes in file previews while browsing through files. If the white line cannot be seen in Illustrator is the file ok? I did just upgrade to CS6 if that would make a difference.

AutoCad :: Won't Allow To Resize Move Or Alter Command Line
Oct 1, 2012Currently using civils 3D. MY command line/toolbar has for some unknown reason shrunk to 2 inches in length.
When I try to resize it, there is no way to reposition it, resize it, or alter it in any way.
GIMP :: Unable To Move A Selected Pencil Line
Aug 9, 2011On a new transparent layer, I have drawn a straight line with the pencil tool. I select the Box Selection tool to select the whole line that I just drawn. I switch to the Move tool and made sure to move just the selection.
At this point, I would think that I would be able to move the line but only the box that is shown by the Box Selection tool moves. The line doesn't move at all. However, when I tell the Move tool to move the selected layer, the whole canvas moves, including the line. Why can't I just select just the line and move it?

What I want to do is move a line on an angle a certain distance in the direction of the line itself in this case 20mm
What used to happen is you'd simply select move and an endpoint on the line then hover over the mid or opposite endpoint of the line and enter 20 and it would move 20mm along the trajectory of the line.
The same set of actions now only seem to allow you to move the entity 100mm (the default value) along itself in the correct direction. If you enter 20 it does not move and if you enter 50 it moves 100!

May 31, 2012I have some general knowledge in lisp coding. But I can't seem to figure this one out (even to get started). What I want to do is make a lisp that:
- selects a line
then
- select any amount of text (any type)
then
- moves all the text to that selected line without rotating the text
if a line is perfectly horizontal then move the text of the y axis.
if the line is vertical then move the text of the x axis.
or there can be a prompt asking the user to chose the angle or axis in which the text will move (say if they want to move the text to a slanted line, you can choose to move the text on an angle, while keeping the same format and not rotating the text, or you can ask the user if they want to move it only vertically or horizontally)
I would really like the code to integrate into my autocad.

I have a few (13) circles, they are connected with lines (one line from the centre of a circle to the centre of the next one, so 13 connecting lines). I need to move the circles around in order to create the appearance that suits me best, but I want the connecting ending to move together (see picture below). Feb 12, 2012currently I'm working on a picture that consists of many other pictures and their layers. Now, if I want to cut edges of pictures with the same angle, it would be great to see the angle in the lasso mode. Sometimes this can also be handy when selecting rects.
edit: How can I move more than 1 layer at the same time?
edit: When saving/reopeneing the project, the pictures in the layers loose their original pixels, so I cannot resize them to their original width/height wihtout losing quality. What can I do about that? I.e. I think a picture needs to be bigger I have to delete it and reimport it?

Nov 10, 2013It's a problem occurring frequently If the contents of a specific layer is comprised of thin, short or small objects, brush strokes etc. and I need to move them.
When I try to select them (in order to move them), many times the mouse goes a little to the side of the objects (because they're so thin/small) and clicks on the object(s) on the layer beneath. This also has the unwanted side-effect of automatically deselecting the current layer.
Isn't it possible, once a layer is selected, to click and drag anywhere on the canvas to move its contents without deselecting it, like in Photoshop?
