Jun 1, 2011With X4 I can right click a piece of text - with pick tool - and drag the selected text to an open area and the text is duplicated. With X5 this does not work - text is locked. The only way to duplicate is to copy / paste. Is there a setting that needs to be reset.

Maybe 10% of the time, it will select the word/line as it should. My prefs are identical for this feature as they have for the past several version of InDesign. My partner also has trouble with copy/paste in InDesign and Illustrator as well.

May 31, 2012I go to Tools > Options > Paragraph Text Frame and untick 'show text frames'. I then go to Document and tick 'Save options as default....'. Restart. Apr 25, 2012My Corel software sometimes exhibits a kind of glitch where a text element won't show up just after I've created it and most of my fonts disappear. If I go to wire frame view I can see that the text is there, it's as though the text is just white, but I can't change the color to anything else. I can change the font, but I have to do it blindly because most of my font list disappears.

Sep 3, 2013Whenever I click to show the presets folder in Lightroom 5.2 Beta preferences it wants to launch Path Finder to show me the files. I no longer own a current license for PathFinder and want Lightroom to use the normal Finder application. I do not have Path Finder even installed any longer and so clicking the button does nothing at all.

Jul 17, 2011I set up a text box, for say the word "Tractor". Â Let's say that with the font I select, the width of the text box is 2 inches. Â I want to be able to replace the text, with say the phrase "Green Tractor" and I want the text to automatically compress in width to be no longer than the original 2 inches and I want the text height to be the same as the first.
I know I can select the text box handle and re-size manually but I am entering many fields for each print job and I need it to do this automatically. Â Also if I entered the word "toy", I would not want the word to stretch to fill the 2 inches but retain standard proportions.
My Engrave Lab program does this on our engraver and I am basically trying to do the same function in Corel for our sublimation printing operation.

Apr 15, 2006Hi guys, I have been using CS2 since its release but I didn’t discover this small nuance until yesterday, and needless to say it unnerved me quite a bit. In PS7 I used to use a trick to achieve a certain effect in some of my designs, making a pattern or single-color image on one layer, ctrl-clicking that layer to make it a selection, and then using that selection to delete other parts of my image. I liked this method as it allowed for me to save the particular selection, and always have that layer available to go back to in case of future use. Since I haven’t done graphic work in a while (mostly digital painting at the moment) I didn’t realize this change was made, either that, or I don’t know how to achieve a similar ends using CS2 that I did with PS7. If anyone understands what I’m asking, and can offer a bit of assistance it would be much appreciated, I am doing a menu layout and design for a local day-spa and I was hoping to do something interesting with their preexisting logo.
