CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 :: Right Click And Drag - Copy Text?
Jun 1, 2011With X4 I can right click a piece of text - with pick tool - and drag the selected text to an open area and the text is duplicated. With X5 this does not work - text is locked. The only way to duplicate is to copy / paste. Is there a setting that needs to be reset.

Jan 29, 2013I am using CorelDraw 12, and recently when I try to drag a drawing, I do a left click and drag. But in doing so, depending on how far I move the object, and how long I hold the left click down, it will just continue making duplicate copies of my object. So as I drag the object, it is also copying. I have had to restart my computer to get it to stop, but this is getting old.
how to disable the drag copyiing? Everywhere I have looked, I find that people are right-clicking, so to clarify, this is a left click issue with my mouse.

Aug 14, 2011is this possible. A lot of programs auto-duplicate when you drag and press either the shift or ctrl or alt key. Its a habit ive gotten pretty into. Plus, its a little akward for me to go from a left click immeadeitaly into a right click with the mouse. I always feel like i've dragged the object a little bit when I switch fingers. it would be great to just add a hot key of shift+drag to this feature, wouldnt even have to turn off the standard right click option, I could deal with both being there.

Oct 4, 2011Right-click drag on an object is a neat way of quickly cloning an object.
If you do this on an object that is part of a group (by using CTRL click to select inside first) then you see the clone of the object as you drag it but it disappears the moment you let go of the mouse button.

Dec 23, 2013I'm a creating a Right Click Menu on VBA Form to copy and paste text in Textboxes. I have got the code to work on one textboxt named "TextCat" in the Mouse up event. I would like to be able to use the same code on all textboxes (some in frames) on a form without having to duplicate this long bit of code and change the textbox name multiple times for every different textbox mouse up event. .

Second, what we do.
Commercial MEP design. Project in mention is a 65,000 sq.ft. Italian food market.
Third, the problem.I am experiencing a selection and double click editing problem with AutoCAD 2012LT & AutoCAD 2014LT. On Friday, June 28th we recieved updated (not new) backgrounds from a lighting designer for two floors of the building whose MEP system we are engineering. The second floor had no problems really; we reset some annotation scales and the updated backgrounds plugged right in. The first floor, however, was so messed up that we copied and pasted the track lights and all else into our file directly (vs. xref'ing) and instantly, after a save, it is impossible to evoke any kind of edit with double click. In order for us to modify anything, we have to type the command before editing. So if I want to DDEDIT, I have to type that in before changing the text. If I do select the text first than CAD freezes, takes a huge dump, wipes for 5 minutes, and then the text editor appears. This problem is ubiquitous with all 2012 LT machines and up. AutoCAD 2005 LT has no problem (lmfao).

Jul 23, 2013The goal is to copy a text object from one illustrator(CS6) document to another maintaining live type and having a graphic style applied from the appearance panel. When an effect like an arch is applied it is converting the text to outlines during the copy and paste, however a straight fill will not. The type of font (TrueType, OpenType, Postscript) does not seem to affect the problem.
Alternatively I have been able to take the desired appearance, create a graphic style from it, apply that to a path and transfer the graphic style to the new document via copy/paste, then apply it to live type on the new document. Obviously this is not ideal.

Sep 18, 2012I've been working in PS CS6 a while now and notice a consistent behavior, different from previous versions: it does not recognize the first click, after choosing a selection tool from the tool panel.
Try this:Select "Rectangular Marquee" tool, using the tool panel.Move cursor over document and click-n-drag. The tool does not work. It must be clicked a second time to work. When selecting the tool using the keyboard shortcut, this does not happen.

Jun 4, 2012In the last 2 days Corel has decided to start changing Artistic Text to Paragraph Text when I copy & paste it across documents, completely changing the font, size & colour of what I am copying.
I've just done a factory reset & it's still doing it.
I don't recall doing anything that would change a setting.
The text I am copy & pasting are disclaimers that are all set on 1 document & I copy & paste them to a proof as needed.
Photoshop :: Click And Drag To Resize Brush
Feb 26, 2012Besides using the bracket keys to resize brushes, you are supposed to be able to hold down the Alt and Control key to drag sideways to make a brush larger or up and down to make it softer. This is on Windows.
For some reason, when I do this command, my cursor changes to moving a selection and leaving a copy.
When I hold down just the Alt key, I get the eye dropper tool and when I hold down just the Control Key, I get the move - four way arrow.
I must have changed something in the keyboard shortcuts, but I don't see the option to change that command back. My Brush Resize shortcuts still work the the two bracket keys.

Nov 10, 2011I am in the course of evaluating Xara, and it has a lot of good things going for it compared to Adobe, particularly in combining many of the features of ID and AI. The graduated color screening on objects is way better than AI.
However, I cannot find how to copy an object or text block and paste multiples at specific intervals. Both Pagemaker and InDesign have this feature, so I can't believe Xara overlooked it, as it is particularly useful when laying out say business cards 12 up on a sheet for printing. Yes, I have done a search on this forum and also studied Xara help files.
Photoshop :: Unable To Double-click Or Drag / Drop Files To Open?
Sep 4, 2013I'm running Photoshop CC 64 on a Windows 7 64 machine and am only able to open files in Photoshop by going to File->Open. Double-clicking from Explorer doesn't work and i can not drag/drop files into the open application window or taskbar icon. Right clicking on files and selecting "Open with" also doesn't work.
I checked file associations and made sure to choose CC 64. If I right click on the shortcut and choose "Run As Administrator" which I have to do in order to get files to open between Lightroom and Photoshop (both need to be Run As Administrator), I'm still unable to open from Windows Explorer. However, if I check the box to "Run this program as administrator" in the shortcut's Compatibility tab, I can double-click to open from Explorer but am prompted with a UAC warning every time. Dragging/dropping into the open app still doesn't work.
Opening between Bridge and PS works as expected so long as both programs are "Run As Administrator"
