I see two icons (essentially a dot and a rectangle) inside my color fill indicator at the bottom of my screen. I can get the dot to appear in objects I create by "combining" but cannot get the rectangle to replicate in any created object. These are in an imported file. What do they mean?

I've imported a ribbon banner where I will enter the text for a name within the borders of the ribbon banner later. I can adjust the line width of the ribbon banner outline and the color of the banner outline without problems. I want the outline of the banner to be one color and the interior of the banner to be another...how do I color fill the inside of the banner?

--Color dialogue box: This is the pop-up that is labeled at the top with "Color". It shows 48 different color squares (6 rows by 8 columns); they are labeled "Basic colors:". Right below the "Basic colors:" array is another 16 empty squares (2 rows by 8 columns) to be filled with colors to be defined. The problem:In PSE 10, when using the Eyedropper Tool or clicking on the Foreground Color or the Background Color, the Microsoft Microsoft "Color Dialogue Box" pops up instead of the "Adobe Color Picker" dialogue box. This started about a month ago. I use Windows 7.
I want the "Adobe Color Picker" to pop up (like it used to) inside PSE 10.

View 7 Replies View Relatedin older versions there was a option to use the very useful symbol.ttf's quickly and accurate with a little roll up menu that showed all characters and one could select and drag drop it into the document. I tried in vain to enable that in X5 with the so called symbol manager. I told Draw where the symbol.ttf's are but in the symbol manager I just see the path to it and nothing to use. I'm talking about the stars, arrows, weather etc. files.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI installed X6 tonight and I'm now having trouble with my Extra Large Icons in Windows Explorer. When I switch to extra large icons the first few show up correctly (CDR, JPG, GIF, etc.) but most of the rest of the GIFs and JPGs show as Corel icons. I can refresh, reload, and they still stay Corel icons. The only way to get the preview thumbnails again is to switch back to large or medium icons and then refresh. But if I switch back to extra large icons I get the same thing again. What's particularly odd is that all the Corel file formats preview correctly as extra large icons, but only a few of the GIFs and JPGs do. I have already removed and reinstalled X6 and the Corel Windows Shell Extension.
If you run the Icon size slider up, the preview thumbnails for the GIFs and JPGs change to Corel Photopaint icons as soon as you go above large icon size.
I have Win7 Pro running on an Intel i7-3820 and have updated Corel to the X6.2.
Also, I do not have any icon viewer applications installed.
I browsed around a bit and didn't see this particular problem listed.
Is there a way to change the size of the tool icons in CDR X6? They are too small for my eyes. I have looked everywhere.

The scratch area enables you to have several objects readily available to you as you layout the page.To hide the scratch area objects and see a clean view of your page, uncheck the Scratch Area option. I've installed my new windows CS6, all my .psd files have the 'generic icons' windows give to files they don't recognize. Everything else has normal icons (i.e. Illustrator files) but the Photoshop files are blank. This is true whether I'm on any type of viewer format, i.e. details, thumbnails.

I tried using the Elliptical Marquee tool and made some circles... well it didnt work... I need a bunch of overlaping circles that dont look all too special, but have nice colors and when the overlap some kind of mixing color or effect.
Then I would like the picture of the car to be put in the bunch of circles, make the car colored opposite to the color the part is in. Like a wheel is in a blue circle... the wheel will be yellow etc.
Also I would like the page set-up to be the size a printable page is... so What is the # of pixels I should set it too for the best Printable Paper page ( standard size paper)

A few years ago I learned in school the usefullness of global color. I used it today and it was very usefull to quickly change the color of a lot of different objects at the same time.
HOWEVER; I remember they also tought me that it was also possible to change the brightness or shading or something inside one global color.
for example lets say I picked a red as a global color, and I have 10 objects all in that red. Then it should be possible to let 5 of those objects have a lighter version of that red color.
Then afterwards when I change my global color to green, all the objects change to green, and those 5 objects now have a lighter green color.
Am i remembering this correctly, and if so; how do I apply this? Because I cannot figure it out...
I'm working on this study and I need to change the color of an object inside a symbol when I click another object.
The object is called "bola", wich is inside the symbol "ponto" and the clicking object are the colored pencils (each pencil should change the color of the symbol's object, giving the impression you'd selecting a different pencil to draw).
I think it's simple to understand what I mean when you see the files.
I already tried this line on click event of the pencils, but it didn't work:

I would like to improve the experience of drawing as well. I made it with the "mousedown" event. Is that a better way to get a similar effect?
I have a donut shaped image, including the "donut hole" inner circle. The donut contains swirls made up of different colors. The problem is, when I apply the cut contour line to the image, it wants to cut the lines inside the donut, along with the outer and inner circle.
When I apply boundary, it does not include the cut line on the inner circle. I want to print/cut, and want the circle gone.
I have an image inside PowerClip. Every time I move the image a bit and stop editing the contents I notice that the earlier PowerClip area has left marks in the image. Actually it has cut a 1 pix line permanently on it.
I'm not sure if this happens only when editing PowerClips originally made with X5-version.
A bit annoying problem anyway. It basically destroyed all the images I used in a project...

This is a practice design for a laser engraver. Im new to Corel and laser engraving. The shop I work at has the equiptment and software for the process and I've recently been granted access to do some personal stuff.
I want to add a Tex inside a Circle and I want the text to take the "shape" of the circle. What I mean is that I want the text to bend and fit on the circle.

Is there a way to apply a color to selected objects without having to search for the color in the color palette. Because of this I'm unable to close or edit the work. In fact NOTHING works. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit with a TON of memory.
