View 1 RepliesI downloaded the blueprints for a Cobra Helicopter, and the side and front blueprints are not lining up correctly at all. I am not sure if this may be an issue with the actual blueprints themselves, or something I may be doing incorrectly. Below illustrates the problem, the green and red lines show areas where the front and side blueprints do not line up at all. My problem is when i scale out from the middle of the wheel the outline is happening at the back of the blueprint

I'm a hobbyist model builder, and I'm starting my first, homemade model. It's going to be a miniature of Wimbeldon's famed centre court. While, the object is not to make an exact miniature version of the real thing, I would like to make it as accurate as possible.
That said, I need to create a sketch (see examples @ [URL) based on real pictures of the stadium. Is there a way to do this using Illustrator? I've tried the various trace options, but nothing even comes close to accomplishing this. I hampered by my inability to draw freehand and my lack of experience with CAD programs.

I have two large format printers that are different Epson Models. When setting up the second printer I accidentally chose the wrong PPD for it. So now when I go to print the PPD is checked (the wrong one) and I can't figure out how to switch it. If I uncheck it and recheck it I never get the pop up window to actually choose the PPD. Corel just assumes I want to use the first one I chose. (doesn't it know a click around like a maniac and I'm accident prone?) how can I switch PPDs.

View 6 Replies View Relatedshort time user here. I have X6 but unfortunately nearly everyone I know is still running x5, and as I found out last night they cannot open anything I send them :( Well thats a problem since the person I am sending things too I need him to be able to open them.
So is there anyway I can convert a x6 .cdr or .cdt to x5? Did not find much from googling around last night.
I have the downloaded version of X5 and I can see the clipart but over the Picture there is a message "not found"? How do I find it?

for the last 6 months ive been converting cd files to EPS, and been open them in Wasatch RIP, but last week the EPS file were missing alot of information that are suppose to be there. To make sure it wasnt the RIP, i converted to PDF, and that works, i also tried Older EPS files that i know should work, and they also work. So something have happen to the EPS converting process.since i use CD in my work on daily bases.

View 8 Replies View RelatedWe just updated from Draw X3 to Draw X5 on our 64-bit machines. We have one problem...We have two Helvetica types with exactly the same name, T1 Helvetica and TT Helvetica. In X3 we could have both fonts turned on, and it would let us use both fonts. Now in X5 when we have both fonts turned on it only allows us to use the T1 font. I am able to use TT, but I have to turn off the T1 in Font Navigator. I have read a lot of forums and understand that we should not have both T1 and TT, but our former worker used both font types, and we have to often go back and fix old files.
Is there a way in X5 to have both T1 and TT fonts show up like we have in X3?
When we did Package design and want to do box like this can we do box effect like tisin corel or only possible in Photoshop or Illustrator. And 3D Letter effect also possible?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm exporting a CorelDrawX5 file as an EPS so it can be opened in Router VCarve software. All the lines of the artwork in the CDR file show up as solid lines before being exported.
After being opened in the Router software as an EPS, the lined artwork shows up in pieces. I've never had this issue before with the Vcarve software or Corel, but I even tried rebuilding the files from scratch, and it still happened so I'm thinking its a corel issue.
I have these EPS files created using Matplotlib that I need to edit further. And usually Corel can import these files with utter ease, however, it really screws up the fonts for some reason. it gives me the standard dialog "Font substitution for missing fonts" and then proceeds to make the font-size at least 10 to 100 times bigger! What's really weird is that other programs (like word) have no problem with font and display it in normal fashion.
View 7 Replies View RelatedAs I am corelian, i am using corel for emailer also, its great but sometimes only facing problem while exporting object for web i.e. suppose I require 650px of jpg or png image size and i put the same value but output image was not the same size it might be 647px or 648px and sometimes it give me thin white line either side of the image (left or right). it created problem in emailer's layout so i have to export it in larger size e.g 670px and then open into photoshop and resize into 650px.

I have added this code to display how the font looks (shown below). But notice i have text font set aside. How do i get my test font to display in the "display box" and/or have my font change as i scroll through the list of fonts. I realize corelx6 kind of does this - but it doesn't allow me to single out fonts.
I am trying to convert from CDR to EPS because the print shops in my country don't use CorelDraw.
The thing is, what shall I do before converting from CorelDraw? I exported it and saved it as EPS, I tried the same as PDF then opened it with an Adobe Illustrator and saving it to EPS but as you can see in the attachment, they are different, even the pictures that I imported while using CorelDraw, they became blacker!
CDX6 Update2 and Update2HF1 with Ghostscript (9.07 from ghostscript.com) cannot import eps, ai, svg, svgz. However Illustrator CS5 version 15 can open same files.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using corel x6 and out putting to laser engraver/cutter, router and water jet. For laser engraving in particular i am have trouble getting a reasonable image. It ends up being pixulated. An it is odd as some times i am engraving one inch square area and some times 2 feet square. The relationship between DPI and size seems to be broken and i can not figure out why. I am normally working with vectors but some times i need to engrave with a bit map. So i will export the vector to a bit map then import the bitmap into a new document and output to the laser. I output to the laser directly from with in corel 13. It is when i import into corel that i can see that the bitmap is pixulated. if I export at 1200 dpi it is better but not good enough. For an 11 inch square out put i think it was a 43 mb file. I downloaded X6 and I see that it supports and creates transparent pattern files but when I tried to import to corel X5 it says its not supported
I have a client who is sharing a CorelDRAW file with me, but I can't find a way to import it into Photoshop. I know Corel is for Vectors, and Photoshop is now, but I thought the .pdf format would be compatible... I managed to import one pdf, but the colours were very distorted. A larger file just wouldn't open at all.

Currently if you have text that has been converted to curves, all of the letters with counters (or holes in them like O, P, B etc) get cut in half. Surely there's a way to stop this?
