I've inadvertently changed something that mades the import/export screen too large, and I can't click onto the open, save, etc. buttons on the bottom right. I've tried dragging the screen up to the top, but I still can get to those darn buttons!
View 2 RepliesI am trying to send a file to a printer for a banner for a client.They only accept a pdf or jpeg at 100% scale at minimum 150dpi resolution.
I banner is over 12 metres long (12,935mm X 1100mm) and only contains vector items.
I am using corel draw x5 and have installed service pack 3. And it won't let me do either.
The largest jpeg corel will let me export at 150 dpi is 5080mm long. Any way to export larger jpeg?
When i export to pdf the resulting pdf is just blank! When I import the pdf back into corel, it imports back into corel perfectly and there doesn't seem to any issues (even tho the pdf is blank). however when I sent the file to the printer, they said it was blank as well. I read some forums that said pdfs have a limit of around 5metres, which explains the pdf issue. Even though the printer told they print pdfs larger than 5 metres all the time.
i make a design in coreldraw x5 and export to pdf but i don't know the seeting how i compress pdf file size...so then its size is too large.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there any way for CorelDraw X6 to export very large TIFF files? e.g. greater than 30,000 pixels in each dimension? I am currently running X5 on XP 32-bit and it cannot seem to handle it, even though Photo-Paint appears to have the ability.I finally manage to get our IT guys to give me a Win7 64-bit test machine for me to trial X6 64-bit, but seems to only do marginally better than my X5 installation. The test machine already has 7GB RAM installed plus a very, very large drive.I also had to run the same test on Adobe Illustrator and it was able to deal with this very quickly and smoothly, no troubles at all.You may find it hard to believe, but I actually like using CorelDraw :-), which is so far the standard package for our company, but if I cannot get X6 doing what we want, I'm afraid it's the end of the line.

View 3 Replies View RelatedRecurring problem i'm having with bitmaps im trying to export to our large format printer. Some bitmaps are coming up with a grey type filter or lens that corel is automatically putting over my photo.
When i export this' filter' remains on the picture.
If i hit 'edit bitmap' the photo comes up normal with all the colours as it should be. Hit 'save' and it goes straight back to having a grey filter over it? Its only with some photos and the other ones are the same profile on the same page? It seems to be always the physically largest one in size (not dpi) I have tried converting to a cmyk bitmap instead of RGB.
I've been struggling with the color management in CorelDraw X5 for awhile. I usually just design blind and check the print out or exported images after the fact to see if they're how I initially intended. The image above is exactly how the design looks in Draw.
This next image is how it looks when I print it out or when I export it to a JPG or PSD or other bitmap.
I've been researching for awhile on the color management and have tried many many varieties. I'm still not sure what the deal is. If it was my monitor or drivers I don't think I would be getting the result I want after I export the image, although I haven't tried updating the driver yet.
Below is my current configuration.
.jpg export screen shows a solid black area instead of my graphic image - why? but when I open the .jpg file that was exported, it looks correct (not a large black rectangle). why is the preview window in the export window showing a large black area? see attached screenshot.

I made a graphic project which is quite large (2,6m x 2,0m @ 300dpi) and including raster grahics. The CDR file itself has about 400MB. When I tried to export this graphic to the png or jpg at the current size Corel X5 always crashes. I tried almost everything on many computers but always the same problem.
It looks like the project is too large for export. At this moment I desperately need to export the file to jpg or png at full resolution. Maybe X6 is more stable when exports or I have to simplify the project somehow but...

The resolution of the mouse does not allow me to select obejects on the screen because the mouse jumps in large increments.
I do not have this problem on smaller drawing, such as electrical schematics.

using Illustrator CS. My Illustrator document size is 10,000 x 1920 pixels. I need to export from Illustrator at this size at 72 dpi but Illustrator says:
“Could not Export. Rasterized Image Exceeds Maximum Bounds for Save for Web"
I tried using “Export" and "Save for Web” but I get the same answer.
Can someone using CS 5 open a new document 10,000 x 1920 pixels and try to export it at 72 dpi and tell me if it works?

View 14 Replies View RelatedI have a client who asked me to create artwork for a banner she is printing for a trade show. The banner is 19.5 FEET long and almost 8 feet high. I have designed the banner as 6.5x2.6ft with the intent of then dividing it into 9 equal parts which I would blow up to 6.5x2.6 and send off to the printer. So far so good. The problem is that the segments are still so large that when I try to export them as PDFs, I am running out of memory. I tried doing them as jpegs, but when I change the resolution for export to 300dpi, nothing changes- the number of pixels x umber of pixels doesn't increase. My client needs this artwork off to her printer asap and I am at a complete loss.

Specifically I'm trying to produce w 30" x h 20" images. I understand that to do this I'll need a image that is 9000 x 6000 pixels set at 300 ppi. My problem is that when I export this, with the dimensions set to width and height in pixels and resize unchecked LR4 produces an image that is 9000 x 4887?
what i'm doing wrong here? Is it simply that the aspect ratio of image is wrong to produce this size image? My concern is not producing an exact file size for printing.

View 5 Replies View RelatedIn my company we work with quite large assemblies, a small project im working on now, contains 527 documents with a total of 3088 occurrenses. Our customers often request STEP files which is a real pain for us to create.
Usually we have to start exporting the assembly at closing time and let the computer work over night, and the product is often a file in the 200mb range, which is too heavy to handle via e-mail, and also takes a lot of time to import to other CAD software.
Using the Task Scheduler is not an option since our file server isnt compatible and refuses to let go of files unless they are checked out manually.
i have been trying for the past hour to export these two files as pdfs for large format print. everything exports fine except the gold trophy design, how to export these for use for large format solvent printing, i normally dont have a problem but this golden shield vector appears to be the problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently downloaded the trial version of VSP X5. And now, I have a new 12 MP camera as opposed to the 5 MP I had before. Anyway this new camera shoots in video mode at 1920, 1280 and 640. When I use 1920 or 1280 (HD), the file size of the videos are huge, so when I import them to VSP, they take a very long time to import. Is this normal when you want high res videos or is there something I can do to cut down on the file size. To test it out, I shot 20 second videos at all three resolutions. In 1920, the file size was almost a whole gig at only 20 seconds. It would be much larger than that for lets say a 20 minute movie. I'm guessing that would take all day to import.
Correction: Actually, It's taking long to "Create a Video File", not to import the video. Anyway, is it normal for the program to take so long to create a file? if it's a 15 or 20 minute video, it will probaly take at least a couple of hours to create at that resolution.
Will Corel6 (or later) ever be able to export to a web page directly since the HTLM export doesn't work (drops links). The Corel Web program, or what ever its name is, was a joke. Its amazing that Corel work puts its name on a program that you could not open a CorelDraw file.
My current work around is to export to a JPG and then import that into dreamweaver and add the links there, then post. A pain but it works.
I create new files in Corel X3. Even if their content is very small and simple (ex. one line), after saving these files have above 1 MB and it takes very long to open them.
