Every time i make a JPEG image it comes out with a thin white line at the bottom and left side of the image (kinda looks like a border line). Is there any way to take that off? I can't seem to make a seamless black pattern with those lines there....
View 1 RepliesWhen I export an image from CorelDraw to a jpeg, or png, (or probably anything for that matter) and try to use it in my web design program I get the little 1 pixel wide white line. WTH? I then have to take it into corel photo paint and erase that one pixel line, in order for it to be gone.
I've used Corel Draw since version 4 I think and this problem has existed in every version Corel has put out. I like the product, I find it easy to use but this glitch is maddening.
This is probably a ridiculously simple thing. I have just started with Xara Photo and Graphic designer 7, and gone through the vids. I am finally acknowledging that Adobe Image Styler (my sweet baby!) is going to have to be given up. Coming from that, I am finding Xara more challenging to use.
When I save an image (jpeg), it exports with a tiny white line around it. I am trying to make a gradient image for a website, and need the edges to blend when I have it repeated (background image).
I'm out of practice with Corel since it has been several years since using it. I'm trying to create a point on top of a line without adding a point to an existing line but for the life of me I can't figure out how. I know I can create a new line and drag the points to where I want them on the line but I just simply want to create a point on top of the line.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI'm very new to corel and i just finished designing a poster but i need to add logos. the problem i'm having is that they're in jpeg and they have a white background. i need to remove the white background. i've tried the magic wand and then going to mask and invert. the problem with this is that i can still see quite a bit of white around the logo. An easier way or do i need to go in and clean up the edges in photo paint's cut out lab? i can do this but it just seems like a lot of work and i have to work with about 15 logos.

I create posters for my husbands business and it will not be a problem when i add our logo to our posters because I can just remove the background myself.
My problem will be when I have to send the logo to other companies, they usually ask for the logo in jpeg. I've already exported the logo into a jpeg but of course the white document background appears. Is there any way to export ONLY the logo into a jpeg?
I am new to X4 and cannot seem to get rid of the white background when I export a vector to a jpg file. This is probably a no brainier but I have tried setting the page background to none and a few other things but to no avail.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I am exporting a jpg from CorelDraw X6, I keep getting random columns of white pixels to the right of the graphic image. If I switch the matte color in the export dialogue to black, I get random amounts of black pixels. In X4, when I would export a jpg, the resulting file would be cropped right to the image edge, with no extra pixels. I'm getting anywhere from 1 to as many as 8 columns of extra pixels on the right hand side, which is problematic for utilizing the resulting files for page layout.
I achieve the same results when choosing "Export for Office" and "Export for Web".
I'm running a 64-bit install on a Win 7 64-bit box.
The upper lip is a vector shape with a fill no outline. The skin is a mesh fill. Why is there a white line around the upper lip shading?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a large line of text (110 characters) with no spaces in it that I'm trying to fill into a 4"x6" area, with the text wrapping / font size scaling as needed.
The problem is that Corel is breaking up the text at a hyphen leaving a lot of empty white space at the end of the line after the hyphen.
If I remove this one particular hyphen (there are many), then no problem. I've already checked for hidden (newline) characters.
The "Use Hyphenation" option is unchecked and there is no formatting going on other than the size of the text box itself.
I am trying to create the cut contour line in X6 and cannot find information on how to do it anywhere.

Before long I was up to 100 pages, looking fantastic. But then the thought come to me, I have set may page colour to BLACK and all my drawing and text are WHITE as I said looks fantastic until you go to print a page. How much black Ink would you use printing 100 pages black.
SO MY QUESTION IS CAN COREL REVERSE THE LINE ART TO BLACK AND THE PAGE TO WHITE SO I CAN HAVE A PRINTABLE VERSION ?
I have tried publishing to PDF then in acrobat replacing document colours and on screen that works fine but when you print it still prints

I am using live paint to paint cartoon character illustrations. The artwork is brought into Illustrator CS3 and live traced. Then I convert it to a live paint group and use the paint bucket to fill. Everything looks fine no matter how much I zoom in. If I bring the AI file into Photoshop CS6 I can see a thin white line between the black line art and the fill. This is most noticeable where black meets black. I can also see this sometimes in file previews while browsing through files. If the white line cannot be seen in Illustrator is the file ok? I did just upgrade to CS6 if that would make a difference.

When I removed the feature line from the definition of the surface, the grading did not change. It appears the points created by the feature line remain which is why grading didn't change. The only work around was to delete these points.
I noticed the same thing happens when I removed the surface boundary and inserted a new boundary. why these points remain and how to remove when I delete boundary and feature line from surface?
know of a macro available that will search a document for any form of white fill (rgb, cmy,cmyk,greyscale, etc) and if it finds any of those colors, it will automatically change those white fills to a Pantone White Spot Color?
I'm aware on the Oberon Color Replacer, but I'd like a macro that is more simple and will do all of this with a click of a button or keyboard shortcut.

I have Photoshop Elements 11. I designed a book cover with Microsoft Word 2010 and saved the file as a Pdf. I want to upload an image of this book cover to various web sites that require a Jpeg image and the book cover has to cover at least 85% of the image and require a pure white back ground. Pixel size can be 1,000 or more. I did go to the library to get reference books but, I can't ascertain from these books how to do this. I am a beginner to Photoshop and realize I will have to get training for future projects. I wanted to upload an image from my computer to show you the book cover but there was a dialogue box that appeared saying the file was too large to upload. The book cover I designed is 8.5' x 11.0"

It is all white! This typically happens when I try to create a plot that is larger than 11x17. I can send to the plotter and plot out a hard copy but no PDF.

I now have a need to mirror about a line but the line is partially inside the object (so after mirroring the object would be overlapped). When I select both objects and try to create the mirror, the "axis" of the reflection is simply the edge of the object, not the line.
When the line was outside, that worked simply because when you selected both objects the line brought the outside of both selected objects to that point so it simply mirrored / reflected at that point (the line). So the line was not truly acting as a point of reflection. Hope that made sense.
I think I'm about to buy Cadtools from Macromonster but I would like to know if Draw has a way of acheiving this. Hey I may find out Cadtools can't reflect when the line is inside the object.
I would like to add the effect of hand stitched thread around some of my designs. The line tool can change a line to dashes but this is a bit too uniform for hand stitching. I have seen a tutorial on doing this in Photoshop where a brush is made with a few small different length strokes. this is then spaced out and made to follow a path. how to create a hand stitch effect using X5 that looks like natural hand stitching...

I'm an amatuer geek trying to do geeking things, like create my own cover design using Paint.net to upload for CreateSpace POD.
I downloaded my correct size template from CreateSpace, opened it with Paint.net, trimmed the excess white (I was told it was okay to do this) and started a bit of the design. Before getting too far in, I decided to take a look at the dimensions on the finished PDF.
I downloaded PrimoPDF and clicked print. With the "fit picture to frame" box checked, the right and left edges are cut off. When I uncheck the box, I get white space at the top and bottom. I'm afraid with the white space at the time and bottom, that will translate to the print book cover.
