View 9 RepliesI have CorelDRAW X4, when I open some file(s), which takes long time to open, even which file size is smaller or bigger.
View 1 Replies View RelatedA few of my design drawings are taking a long time to open from cold. They are not particularly complex drawings and all the files / assembly etc. that are referenced on them are correctly stored and are not corrupt or 'sick'. Why are these drawings taking so long to open? waiting for them is slowing me down considerably.

when I try to use it now, It basically locks up the whole computer, and takes around 2-3 minutes before it finally pops up with the liquify box.

I was wondering if anyone knew what is wrong with my smudge tool. When I go to use it and apply it to my image, it takes a while to show the affect. Everything else in my photoshop works fine. Oh yeah, I use PS CS if that makes any difference.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIn Photoshop you can open one file, and then open another file and they show up side by side or however you want them to be. How can I do this in Paint.net? When I open one file, it will not let me reduce the size so another file can be in the same window.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI don't really care for "tabs." I'm used to having open files placed randomly within PS.
So I uncheck this feature in preferences. BUT, this means when you hide/minimize PS, the open file remains visible. Is there no way to minimize open files at the same time as PS?
Windows 7 SP1, Illustrator CS6.The end users spends 7 hours of their 8 hours in Illustrator. As part of the job, they have to have over 40 different files open at the same time because they are working on several jobs at the same time as well as working forward. So the answer is not "they have to close some files". This, unfortunately, is not an option. We recently upgraded them to CS6. They said that version CS5 was fine and didn't crash like this. But Illustrator CS6 crashes on them, closes itself, and obviously they lose all unsaved changes (saving the changes isn't a choice either, because the files are shared and have to stay original). The only modification we've done to the program is to UNcheck "Append" in the preferences. This happens on all 3 computers for all 3 users, so I don't believe it to be end-user related. Any way to get Illustrator to stop crashing? Is there a specific limit on the number of files that can be open?

I have already tried deleting unnecessary fonts, views and color styles. I also restored corel to factory defaults (using F8 key at start up) but some cdr files still take a long time to open.
re-set the file type each and every blessed time they want to open up a new file from within Photoshop (this is not a problem if you use Bridge)?
is no preference for this action and it is inexplicable that Adobe would make it this way unless they are determined that one can only open files using Bridge.

I need to open multiple files at a time with some of them being 40mb large. Problem is it takes quite sometime to open the large files.
What can i do to improve the performance of opening and working with larger files? Would adding more ram dramticaly improve it? If not, i would go about buying a new i7 cpu.
I am using Elements 10.
How do I display two open files at the same time? I need to drag a layer from one to the other.
I have problem with opening the corel draw 12 software. When i opened this, the program hangs all the time and cant access anymore.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI made a Photoshop® script (action) which works perfectly. (Open .PDF files in Photoshop®, to after save them as .JPG files into another folder)
The problem comes when I launch a batch process. It takes a while to the computer to open the large .PDF files, and when a file is opened, well it doesn't go through the whole script. In fact, Photoshop® already open the second file and so on. Then without running the rest of the script/action .
About a month and a half ago, after a microsoft update, I cannot open .cdr files from the file/open list. When going to file/open, the programs hangs up, cannot even use "cancel", and have to go to Windows Task Manager to shut down the program. All is well until I try to open a file from file/open.
I can import .eps, and everything else seems fine.My work around is to open from My Documents --Which works fine. Just is a silly little aggravation.
I have uninstalled, reinstalled, repaired, etc....all the normal fixes.

I'm running the latest PS CD6 v.13.0 x64 it's NOT the fastest computer ON THE PLANET..
I'm using PS during the day (I'm a professional photographer and I use PS about 6-8 hours a day).....Liquify gradually get's slower and slower to open. By the end of the day it's taking 6-10 minutes for Liquify to open. I have to literally "RE-BOOT" my computer to get it to start working properly. And...for goodness sake....do not LEAVE Photoshop open over night...by the next day....I can't even open a JPG it's so slow...
NOW...compare that to my LAPTOP....MacBooK Pro.....no where near the processing power and no where near the Ram copacity....and PS CS6 opens perfectly....Liquify POPS OPEN so fast I can't even blink my eyes before it's open.
Why is the faster more robust computer opening LIQUIFY slower than the lesser computer?
I was using photoshop cs5 and am currently on a trail of CC, everything else is working fine, just File>export>render video takes along time for the dialog box to appear, which was not the case in cs5 (almost instatly opens).
Any settings I can change to speed this up? Im using Windows 7 32bit.
A costomer sent us an IGES file 228 MB in size and it's trying to open but its been almost an hour.
I tried different options in the options tab before opening but still dooging it.

I have 1 or 2 files saved in x6 that don't open under 6.1 I sent a note to Gerard with a link on the forum here, is there another place we should send files?I believe the problem is the powerclip of the fade, or the fade itself. But I have no way to prove that as I only have one copy of x6 so I can't open it and test it.
