I am trying to render a 4 second clip of 3d text doing a 360° turn, I export in H.264 and have okay computer specs.

want to start exporting more video for a project, but I can't do it with this render time.
I imported my files from Premiere Pro CS6. I rendered in Premiere Pro prior to importing it to AE.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have simple composition that animates a two shapes that I am using as a "screen" to show photos. The shapes are 3D; the camera movement is minimal. I have an Ambient light and two Spot lights.
I am on a one year old i7 processor with 16 GB of RAM. Cache files are written to an SSD.
Still it is taking a long time to render (it's a three minute project and takes about 20+ hours to render), and there's no pics added - just the "screen".
The final project is similar to the many templates you can find that show photos/videos. It's basically a fancy slideshow, but unlike those you can buy, it will hold 25 to 30 pics.
Any thoughts on what I can do to either use something other than a 3D shape (but still keep it 3D) or change parameters or workflow to cut down the render time. . . I am pre-rendering the composition now (which will take the 20+ hours) but obviously, if I want to change anything with the movement or the overall length, it means another day of rendering.
I've just started to use AE again (CC version) and I'm trying to make a simple 3D text animation and it seems like it's taking an excessively long time to render. I have a 4 year old MacBook Pro (2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB) and it's taking several hours to render and export a 5-second clip through Media Encoder. The animation is just text on a black background. I'm using the ME YouTube 480P preset. The original file is 1920x1080 because I am going to have to chroma key it over some existing 1080p video. I did a little 3D work years ago and this seems like an awfully long time for such a short, simple animation. Is there some simple, common mistake I'm probably making? Should I scale the comp down to 480p?
View 2 Replies View RelatedFor some reason the time ruler is displaying frames and not seconds. I have tried cycling through the various time modes by ctrl clicking it as well as modifyign it in file->project settings, yet seconds will not show up on the time ruler. Please view the image below. I have also tried resetting the work space to standard default with no result.

Existing cdr files are taking up to an hour to load. I've deinstalled and reinstalled, to no avail.
I am looking for a way to render a 3d model that reacts to an audio in real time. I know processing does the audio reacting in real time but I was wondering if this is possible to render a 3d object that react to the audio via after effect as well?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am working with something new in AE this week and I am curious if I am doing something wrong. I need to insert a 3D thumb tack PSD file I imported into AE with a film I am working on. As a test I just wanted to see what quailty the pin would render out for the final because the preview in AE looked horrible. So I have a static shot of the Thumb tack and it is going for 10 seconds. I started the Render and it has been going for 9 minutes so far and still shows 1hr 28 minutes left. I've rendered 8 minutes music videos in 45 minutes on this same PC.
I am using a PSD for 3D because I do not have 3D software.
why isit taking several seconds to change images on my filmstrip?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm rendering at 1920x1080HD 25fps. Used the expression found on numerous threads including this one to generate whole number pixel shifts per frame.

I generated the text and images in InDesign and exported as a PDF. Imported PDF into AE. Have tried a few whole number values for s including 4 and still getting judder.
Generated to H264 and Apple Pro Res codecs doesn't seem to make much difference to judder.Here is my AE project with PDF. Here is output as H264 (40MB).
Also included a Quartz Composer file .where I created the same whole number pixel movement as AE but rendering it out in Quartz Crystal I get different judder but no better. Quartz Composer previews in real time and Quartz Crystal renders same project that took some 16min+ in AE in about 30 seconds. But no smoother output — even when applying AA and Motion Blur at render time.
Any video encoder where I can down-sample say a 75 fps render to 25 fps with frame blending? Does Apple's Compressor do frame blending? What about some other app that I can get this out smoothly from. I have FCP installed but have never done a title in it either.
Since my Dell only has 60Hz at full native res (2560x1440) I set it to 1080p and selected 50Hz to see if that effected anything but it makes absolutely no difference to playback smoothness.

I've been averaging about 10-15 seconds from clicking on a pic until the program opens and the pic is displayed. Today a .jpg (272KB) took 26 seconds from clicking the pic to PSP opening and displaying it.
I have everything disabled in startup and all non Microsoft services except Protexis unchecked.
PSP ProX4 was just purchased and installed last week and has the latest patch.
Intel 2600K @ 4.5Ghz/8Gb RAM/1Tb main HDD/Asus Radeon 5870/Asus P8P67 Deluxe mobo.
Why is PaintShop Pro X4 so crazy slow to open?
I was using photoshop cs5 and am currently on a trail of CC, everything else is working fine, just File>export>render video takes along time for the dialog box to appear, which was not the case in cs5 (almost instatly opens).
Any settings I can change to speed this up? Im using Windows 7 32bit.
I can´t believe it. Save 50% Rendertime. Fix the Render Elements Bug with Render Optimizer V3! deactivate "contrast all Buffers" with RO V3, and you have the same speed as Vray Renderelements.2014 can comming! URL....
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have created a slide show by Inserting Media file to Timeline, Insert Photos. I then Share, and then Create Video File. This is a great product, so easy. However I noticed that the time delay on each picture frame is about 3 seconds. I have manually increased each slide to 5 seconds using the slider on the timeline. But this is cumbersome. Is there a place to change this default 3 seconds to what I want in the software? I cannot find it.

They are not particularly complex drawings and all the files / assembly etc. that are referenced on them are correctly stored and are not corrupt or 'sick'. I was wondering if anyone knew what is wrong with my smudge tool. When I go to use it and apply it to my image, it takes a while to show the affect. Everything else in my photoshop works fine. Oh yeah, I use PS CS if that makes any difference.

Autocad freezes for a few seconds every 30-60 seconds. it did this on my previous full autocad 2011 and now on 2012. i have also had a reinstall. it also does it on the other users computers in the office and also those on LT.
the freeze is rondom. it can be triggered by commands, escape button, panning arround the drawing. The problem occurs periodically for say 1 day every few days autocad will have pauses. But other days its fast with no problems.
i have tried all the usual things for slow down. purge, audit, layerdlgmode. I do not think it is general slow down.
does it really takes forever? im waiting for about 2 hours++ now at this moment
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a simplistic model (4 parts, 10 or so screws) that I am trying to render an animation through using Studio with the lowest possible output settings, my concern is that the render time is extraordinary long even for the most basic of assembly, why is this ? I have also tried the animate when in an IPN file which does improve render time but the quality is not very good.
I will now try using keyframe animation in Showcase to see if I can get an animation with good quality completed within the hour !
I rendered an interior scene. It took 17 hours 17 minutes and 35 seconds !!!
I used all arch and design materials. Some are used from material library. I am not really convinced with the output i made. I think there in nothing in the scene that making the render too high.
