After Effects :: Render Time Taking 1 Hour For 4 Seconds
Feb 28, 2014I am trying to render a 4 second clip of 3d text doing a 360° turn, I export in H.264 and have okay computer specs.
3.04 GHz Quad core
12 gigs of ram
want to start exporting more video for a project, but I can't do it with this render time.
Paint Shop Pro :: Taking 10-15 Seconds From Clicking On Pic Until Program Opens
Dec 24, 2011I've been averaging about 10-15 seconds from clicking on a pic until the program opens and the pic is displayed. Today a .jpg (272KB) took 26 seconds from clicking the pic to PSP opening and displaying it.
I have everything disabled in startup and all non Microsoft services except Protexis unchecked.
PSP ProX4 was just purchased and installed last week and has the latest patch.
Intel 2600K @ 4.5Ghz/8Gb RAM/1Tb main HDD/Asus Radeon 5870/Asus P8P67 Deluxe mobo.

Sep 21, 2012I've been working with a copy of lightroom 3.6 on a windows 7 machine. The problem I'm having is that I have a really hard time telling at a glance which images have the blue color label from the unlabeled grey ones. Is there any way for me to change either the background color of the filmstrip (like you can the background of the main workspace) or else change the hue/tone/saturation/whatever of the blue color label itself?
I know how to change the name of the label, but that doesn't visually differentiate between the two colors. The monitor is color calibrated, and I have the same difficulty on various monitors, so this is a physical limitation of my own, or a limitation of the program.
Lightroom :: Filmstrip Of 500 Plus Images - Edit In External Editor?
Feb 10, 2014I have a filmstrip of 500 plus images. Sometimes I need to "Edit in an external editor" on an image, in my case Elements 11. On selecting, EDIT IN, the original image plus the Elements 11 editied image move along to the end of the filmstrip. I then have to go to LIBRARY module, grid view and move both of these images back to their original location at the filmstrip. That is ok if you only have a few images but time consuming when you have 500 images.

May 28, 2012Autocad freezes for a few seconds every 30-60 seconds. it did this on my previous full autocad 2011 and now on 2012. i have also had a reinstall. it also does it on the other users computers in the office and also those on LT.
the freeze is rondom. it can be triggered by commands, escape button, panning arround the drawing. The problem occurs periodically for say 1 day every few days autocad will have pauses. But other days its fast with no problems.
i have tried all the usual things for slow down. purge, audit, layerdlgmode. I do not think it is general slow down.

Mar 6, 2012Downloaded LR4 this morning, backed up and upgraded the catalog. None of my photos appear in the Develop Module when I switch to that module from the Folders, though they appear when I switch from a Smart Collection, but not a standard Collection. It shows "No Photo Seclected". Regardless of where I switch from, no photos appear in the filmstrip in the Library or Develop module, though the location menu just above the filmstrip shows the correct number of photos in that particular folder. I'm on a late model iMac, OS 10.7.3, with 12 GB RAM.

Do I need to turn something on to make them appear? It is making navigation much more difficult while developing (I can only view one image at a time while developing).

Feb 29, 2012Sometimes the filmstrip will not allow me to click and drag and change the order of pictures in the filmstrip. The pics are locked in place. It allows me to drag an image to a new position in the filmstrip but when I "unclick" the pic just moves back to its original position. Other times a black bar appears between the pics where I want to move the pic and I can rearrange the order of pics. I cant figure out why I can do this sometimes and sometimes the filmstrip wont allow me to change order.
Also, I can move pics in one file while not being able to move them in another. So it not some universal setting but seems to be file (catalog) specific.

Mar 22, 2014When in Library mode I want to move around the filmstrip (at the bottom) when in Loupe View. The same can be said about being in Grid View. I am able to go to the next or previous slides with the arrow keys and by pressing Page-Up and Page-Down it jumps ahead/back 10 or slides. How do you jump to the first or last slide? When I push Home or End nothing happens. I thought it was supposed to jump to the first or last slide.

Run LR5.3 on computer - not CC version.
PS - I have looked at several of the various cheat sheets on shortcuts and cannot find this.

Jul 10, 2012I have the filmstrip set to auto hide/show. As I browse through my library, I'll pick an image to work on in Develop. I may then want to work on an adjacent image. Instead of going back to the library to select it, I want to hover over the film strip and select the image that is 1 or 2 away from the current one.
When I first hover over the filmstrip, it shows my current location but then quickly slides to a different part of the strip. Usually no where near where I'm working. I haven't been able to determine a pattern. Sometimes it will go to the beginning, sometimes the end. Sometimes to an image I was working on the last time I closed Lightroom (if I am still in that folder).
I need the filmstrip to follow me as I move through a set of images.I don't remember having this problem in 3.x

Jan 16, 2013I'm working on macro insect photography, and I used to find it really useful to be able to hover my cursor over an image in the filmstrip and see the aperture, shutter speed and ISO pop up. It was great to be able to see at a glance what sort of settings were producing better photos. Now, however, when I hover the cursor over an image, it's the date and time of capture and the size of the image that pop up (and the file name as before). I've combed through Preferences to see if it's a Lightroom setting I can change, but I can't see anything relevant. I've googled away and searched these forums, also to no avail. I know I can go to the Metadata panel in the Library module to see those photo attributes, but that's more cumbersome than what I used to be able to do. Is there any way to revert to the seeing the aperture etc at a glance the way I was previously able to? (I'm using Lightroom 3, pondering upgrading to 4).

Toggling all of the panels does not work.

Jul 18, 2012As I review photos clicking on their thumbnails in the book module's film strip on the bottom of the screen I can't seem to find a way to have (1) the name of the photo file displayed and (2) the name of folder where the photo file resides.
In Bridge one has the option to have up to 4 lines of customer-selected information displayed below each thumbnail.
Is there a way do do something similar in Lightroom 4.1 ? How can I view the file name and the name of the folder where it resides as I select the image in the film strip ?
Lightroom :: Badges In 3.5 Develop Module Filmstrip Have Disappeared
Oct 24, 2011I've been using LR for a while and just in the last week or so I've noticed that in the develope module the badges on the thumbnails in the filmstrip have disappeared. Have I accidentally clicked on something and switched them off? I can hover over a highlighted thumbnail and right click, go to the view options and see that there's a check mark next to the "show badges" option.
