I've been using LR for a while and just in the last week or so I've noticed that in the develope module the badges on the thumbnails in the filmstrip have disappeared. Have I accidentally clicked on something and switched them off? I can hover over a highlighted thumbnail and right click, go to the view options and see that there's a check mark next to the "show badges" option.

The main develop module controls have disappeared from the develop window. How do I recover them? I'm working with Lightroom 5.3. The missing controls are the sliders for exposure, contrast, clarity, etc. I must have inadvertantly clicked something that made them disappear but nothing I've tried brings them back. I've never had this experience in the years I've been using Lightroom (since version 1.1).

I use Mac 10.9.1, LR5.3, Nikon NEF 24Mbit from D600.

i just upgraded the catalog to Lightroom 5 and i have exactly the same problem.
After making changes to an image (sharpening, exposure, contrast, etc, etc) in the develop module, when I head over to the library module, the image does not show the latest changes. What's worse is when I export a JPG of the image, it exports the original! What's the point in having LR?
View 1 Replies View RelatedAs I review photos clicking on their thumbnails in the book module's film strip on the bottom of the screen I can't seem to find a way to have (1) the name of the photo file displayed and (2) the name of folder where the photo file resides.
In Bridge one has the option to have up to 4 lines of customer-selected information displayed below each thumbnail.
Is there a way do do something similar in Lightroom 4.1 ? How can I view the file name and the name of the folder where it resides as I select the image in the film strip ?
I have been using LR4.4 and now upgraded to 5. My only problem has been neither versions display the photos in filmstrip or the Library module after being imported. It displays blank frames and you can click on one in Develop and it will show the photo. But its obviously very hard to identify a specific photo if you can't see it in Library or Filmstrip.
I have read various manuals and don't see the answer as it is assumed LR does this. Nikon View NX2 on the same computer works fine.
I also wonder could there be a conflict between the Nikon View NX2 program and Lightroom.
When I move photos from the develop module to the web module they get a garish/reddish look . I want the photos in slide shows to look like they do in the Develop module. How do I do that?
