Lightroom :: Main Develop Module Controls Have Disappeared From Develop Window
Feb 11, 2014The main develop module controls have disappeared from the develop window. How do I recover them? I'm working with Lightroom 5.3. The missing controls are the sliders for exposure, contrast, clarity, etc. I must have inadvertantly clicked something that made them disappear but nothing I've tried brings them back. I've never had this experience in the years I've been using Lightroom (since version 1.1).

Mar 30, 2013I am missing the detail tab in the develop module of LR 4 (version 4.3). How do I get it back?
Everything else is as it should be but when I recently wanted to eliminate some noise and sharpen an image I noticed this tab was gone and I can swear it was there before. Should be before the lens correction tab (on right hand panel of the develop module). BTW, although I do not think it has any bearing on this, I just started using an iMacPro w/retina display.

May 23, 2012I'm new to Lightroom - just downloaded v.4 a few days ago and love it. Just now I installed OnOne presets (free pack recommended by Lightroom website). When I opened Lightroom after installing, my Develop module options had changed - few options, no "shadow" option (now it's called "recovery"), etc. I uninstalled OnOne but problem is the same as before.

Oct 24, 2011I've been using LR for a while and just in the last week or so I've noticed that in the develope module the badges on the thumbnails in the filmstrip have disappeared. Have I accidentally clicked on something and switched them off? I can hover over a highlighted thumbnail and right click, go to the view options and see that there's a check mark next to the "show badges" option.

Sep 8, 2008I am a researcher interested in anxiety disorders in young children. As part of a functional magnetic resonace brain imaging study we need to compare children's responses to familiar and unfamiliar faces. The latter are no problem, but for the former we need to take pictures of the children's mothers and process them "on the fly" so that they can be incorporated into stimulus sets presented in the MRI machine (otherwise known as the "magnet").
For presentation in the magnet, the images have to be in a particular format. I have created an action that produces the appropriate format, and a PS3 droplet that behaves appropriately (outputs correctly modified files to the stated address) when a Windows XP (SP3) folder is dropped on it.
However, I need to automate the procedure further because it will be executed by individuals with little or no understanding of PS etc.
It occurred to me that I could call my droplet from the XP command line with the folder containing the relevant files as an argument (and then I would be able to incorporate this function into an overall control program).

Currently, all the changes are in the copy, but the detailed history of changes is not there. This precludes making the same backward steps that one could do with the original.
Lightroom :: Niksoftware Disappeared From 4?
Jan 11, 2013 I have been using the Niksoftware suite sucsessfully with LR4 for over six months now on Lion OS. Tonight for some reason when I came to edit an image they were no longer in the "edit in" command when I right click, only Viveza is there.
I have tried to activate them in the pluggin manager but they are shaded out so I am unable to.
In the preferences I am only able to open/select on of the pluggins as my "external editor" I have selected all individually and they all work fine so no issues there. They are also still in my applications folder and open when selected there too so I am totally puzzled as to why they were in the command last night and for the last six months but not tonight when I have changed no settings at all. Interestingly enough my watermark also dissappeared and I had to remake that, is there a reason for this?
To make matters a little more interesting I have to give a bride her images on Monday so need a fully functional suite of software this weekend.

Jun 16, 2012In lr4.1 before Importing images, I'd like to see more info (camera, lens, focal length, f-stop, exposure time etc.) about the images besides just the file name before making the selection to import.
In the library module I just push the i key and it loops through two sets of info and a non-display. Why can't I do this in the Import module? If yes: how? What options do I set and where? If no: Is there a plugin to do so or who do I ask to add this to the next release?
