These are from the Samples 9 solar flairs and made a few sample options (customizing the tiling and width) from there.
why some of these texture fills disappear when outputting to PDF or even converting to Bitmap?
I've done a site search for "Delete Fountain Fill Presets and no results.
how do I remove the X6 preset fountain fill as I will never use these I prefert my own custom set.
The - function doe snot work at all the + works, go figure
so how do I remove one and for all the Corel Fountain Fill Presets
X6 becomes very unstable when using fills with vector patterns. There is, for whatever reason, a lower limit for the size of the pattern (1 inch) that is way to high for most textures, so the only way to work around is to calculate the wanted size of the pattern tiles, enlarge the object accordingly, fill it, assign the size with object attribute and renormalize the size of the object. This used to work fine in prior versions, but X6.3 already crashed several times instantly or soon after the procedure at my site. This is not amusing.
Is there maybe another way to get past the silly one inch pattern size limit?

in Corel X6, some spot colors, either pantone,custom or others, after re-opening files, these colors appearas NO NAME, and the object assigned to them appear withno fills?It never happens with RGB or CMYK colors.

At the moment we are having issues with fades not looking good when we print them using the Onyx 10 program. We get magenta lines running though our fades, predominantly when we fade from royal to white. However! when we print using onyx 7 the fades work fine. It is not viable for us to use onyx 7 for all jobs as the colours lose a lot of vibrancy.

I see a Patterns folder in CDX5 but it doesn't have the default pattern I need. I need to change the color. I noticed that custom made patterns go into My Documents/Core/Vector Patterns.
View 5 Replies View RelatedFor some reason I am having issues converting a CDR file to PDF which contains objects/text with fountain fills.
I have looked at some previous posts detailing the same problem, have followed their remedies, i.e. "render complex fills as bitmaps" in the advanced tab in the PDF conversion pane. Despite these best efforts I am still having the problem of my black background; fixed in the "page layout" tab being corrupted, resulting in the background being the fountain fill once converted.
I have been unable to find a macro to perform elliptical fills, or for dynamically interactive fractal/"plasma" fills.
It would seem to me, that these could have already been written by any of the experienced macro programmers for CorelDraw. No interest, or are these sort of fills too difficult to programmatically implement through a macro?
If it´s possible to import vector graphic with fountain fills from AI (adobe illustrator) to CorelDraw x6 for further editing.
if i export from AI to eps or ai, and import to x6 the graphic with fountain fills becomes raster, if i export to pdf, the graphic is almost okay, but not as i wish to.
I have purchased some clipart where the artist used Adobe Illustrator and it contained extensive Mesh Fills. The artist sent me the same artwork in pdf & eps but I am unable to open any of them with X5. Apparently it is a function of the mesh fills?
View 4 Replies View RelatedOften whatever I'm working on in X4 disappears off the document page when I zoom in or out. It's still there (I can see it in the print preview)and I can print it, but I can't see it no matter what view (e.g., normal, draft, etc.) I select. If I select the entire page I can see the graphic and text handles, but nothing else. The only way I can see my work again is to save it, close the program, and then re-open the file. My computer is a Dell Precision Work Station T3400 running Vista Ultimate with an Intel Core2 Quad CPU, 4GB RAM, and my graphics card is an NVIDIA Quadro FX 570 256MB. All my software and drivers are up to date. The problem occurs no matter what screen resolution or refresh rate I'm using.

If I use Pattern or Texture fills for a background, is there any way to make them less intense so the text can more easily be read? I am not sure of the correct terminology, whether it is "fade", "intensity" "transparency" etc. I would just like the fill to be fainter.

View 2 Replies View RelatedFor some time I was using CorelDraw 12 with Windows XP and Excel 2007.I normally make some tables in Excel which I copy and paste into Corel using "Paste special"/Picture/Enhanced Metafile. In Windows XP there was no problem. Since I switched to Windows 7, I have the following problems:
- The font Wingdings 3 comes out as Arial.
- The second problem is a very strange thing: Some characters, such as ,-"; , always at the END of the line, just dissapear. It happens sometimes, not always, and I can't see absolutely no logic in it: I copy the same thing, paste it several times, and sometimes the comma comes out, sometimes not. I remember that this happened to me ONCE, long time ago, when I was still using XP, but then I restarted Corel and it stopped making problems. But now, with Windows 7, it happens almost all the time. I tried it on a few different PCs and I even tried it with Corel X4. Always the same problem.
Texture fill and a printing problem. They may be related. First, the file I am working with was originally created in Corel 10. I'm using X6 in Windows 8.
It is a map. I have several layers but the two layers I am having trouble with are the continental shelf and the land layers.
I cannot texture fill either in X6. I go through all the steps but the fill will not show on the screen nor will it print. I can fountain fill, solid fill etc .these layers and they will print as filled. This is the same for both printers I have, which are also new with 128MB of memory each.
In addition, I can get a fountain fill to print on the continental shelf layer, but cannot get a fountain fill to print on the land layer; even though the fill shows on the screen. I can get a solid fill to print on the land layer.
I've the objects in the proper order, the print is turned on for all these layers, etc.

After a "format c:" i´m trying to reinstall my corel x5. But after starting the install-progress i only can see this:
What does it mean? I can´t imagine where this comes from?!? How to handle this fault?
macros are all disabled and i remembered there is a command to disable all the events but i could not figure out where exactly it is located and even i tried to reinstall the using modiy and repair twice times to install the software but still persists to activate the macros.
all the macros are grayed out and even Alt F11 also not working.
I have set the automatic backups to end up in a specific folder on an external hard drive, which is always on. However, none of the auto backups end up there. They end up in the same folder as the actual file on my regular HD - which absolutely defies the purpose of having a backup on a different medium. I wish I could attach a screenshot of the setting page to prove my point, but Corel has not advanced to that level yet as it seems. Not even in "Support", which, unless you own the latest version of a Corel software, is non-existing anyway.

A graphic exported in Draw & PP in X4 as a .png works fine.
The same graphic copied & pasted into Draw or PP in X6 does not.Repeatable 100%...The eyedriopper selection of the transp[arent color seems to pick up the right color, but the output presents like a .jpg. Viewed in IE9, Firefox & Chrome with same results.
i had installed the coreldraw x6 and every thing went right until i open it when the instillation finished , and showed me error 998 !! and i had searched for an answer and i found an answer but didn't work . the answer was : install regcure pro and fix all problem but didn't work ...

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am currently using this method, creating a 1-bit bitmap from a grayscale "distress" texture bitmap, choosing transparent fill or outline depending on which area i need trasparent and powerclip it in text or other vector object.
Is there a way to achieve the same distress effect with transparency with FILL ? pattern fill maybe? eg can i save in some format this bitmap to use it maybe as a pattern in pattern fill and retain transparency ?

When I open PhotoPaint X5, which is part of my CroelDRAW X5 Suite, I receive an error message; "PhotoPaint has stopped working". CorelDraw X5 opens correctly without any problem.
I have un-installed and re-installed the CDX5 Suite, but the problem still persists.

The scanner shortcut doesn't work unless you go to acquire first. It keeps working until you close CorelDraw. When you reopen Corel, you must then go to acquire first.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe brush tool is no longer working - when I select on any of the brush tools, spray, Art burhs, spray , line, marker etc, they will not work. When I select the drop down nothing is listed. Additionally, none of the other tools in the box, Effect Tool, Image Sprayer too ect, do not work as well. Did I select something to turn off the tool?
I've tried to uninstall and re-install and that did not work.
When I try to draw an ellipse (or circle) and drag it on to my sheet, nothing happens. All of my other shape tools work as they should. What has happened. It worked originally.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have uninstalled and reinstalled my x5 and while it fixed the error causing my default text cursor to start at 270 degrees for some reason instead of 0, I still cannot edit ANY font text as far as the kerning goes. When i drag it, it snaps right back everytime. This is extremely frustrating when aligning text to a curved path and all the letters are squished together.wth? This just happened in the last week randomly.

A few days ago - imported a jpg into Paint as usual, went to use the clone tool and it just doesn't work any more. I can select the icon and the little circles come up but it just doesn't 'clone' anything. Its as if there is mysterious setting that has been turned on that just makes nothing happen.
I have reinstalled the software: no luck - still the same.
