Exporting to H.264 while preserving your color correction. I have not found anything definitive that addresses this issue. I'm bringing it up here as I do a lot of web delivery in H.264 and am tired of the color/gamma shift.
View 1 RepliesWhen I export a XML from FCP 7 all of my files come over and link but there is no video with my HDV files (1440 x 1080) all of my other files (Canon FX etc) come over fine.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to create a MP4 directly out of Smoke. Surprisingly, the colors are correct, but the scaling is not. MP4 scales the image a bit up, and I don't know why. Is there anything I have to change in the settings, so the mp4 is the correct size?
In the attachment, the first picture is the mp4 and the second is rgb uncopressed (which has the correct size).

I'm trying to export a sequence and apply a custom 3d lut to it. I can get into the LUT editor, but I can't seem to find the option of loading a 3d lut. Is this a missing feature?

The first time the export got interrupted, then after that it processed the audio mixdown but none of the frames. At first it made files in the specified location that just wouldn't play, but the last few times no file was created.

When I export a quicktime from colorbars (or any other clip) the levels are raised as opposed to exporting a targa or tif file. I tried it as uncompressed and png with the same result.

Also, what's the best (fastest) way to export a single frame? The way I'm doing it now is that I'm copying a segment to the the desktop then going into tools then using the repeat function. is there a better way?
what is still missing in smoke is having the color wheel while picking a color. The color wheel will enable us to pick any color straight from the wheel , it's much faster rather than trying to mix the desired color using RGB combination. it will be cool to see this feature in next release.

Cause there is the 'wheel' for highlights, but as soon, as you turn it in one direction, you start to change the color.

In 2012 it was very easy to select a gap segment and click color source in the soft effects. In 2013 it appears to be much more difficult, you need to create it in a folder then edit it into a sequence. Am I missing something? I wish there was a color source option in the effects ribbon.

View 5 Replies View Relateda) is it possible to change the default font that gets activated for a project or sequence? Every time we add a title it defaults to "Discreet" - it would be good if it learns from past changes at least for the sequence.
b) it would be good if the default font color changes to a color that contrasts with the background when starting to type. E.g. we had a rather white scene, started typing and no text ever showed up. I then had to go back to the full text editor, change the color etc.
c) moving the color sliders in the color selector manually without a Wacom seems to slow by default. It takes forever to move to a brighter color. And using the picker is cumbersome (we do that as a work-around instead of moving the slider). The OK button for the color sliders is not very visible, sometimes leading to us clicking away without saving the newly selected color by accident.
it seems to be a bit messy. I set it to F10 like in 2012 and the small popup box with the color picker doesnt seem to pop up proper. Something blinks on the top right corner and disappears. Same goes for colorbar. Any workaround or fix for this one?

I've noticed that when I drop a CC on a clip in the timeline with AutoKey turned off, if I adjust a paramater a keyframe is still added. But, if I enter the module, no keyframe is added. Also, if I enter the module and exit back out, no keyframe is added adjusting paramaters.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a PSD file that has a couple layers that are shadows and highlights for t-shirt textures. Then I have other layers that are the colors of the shirts, so I can swap the color out and it looks like the appropriate t-shirt color with the shirt textures and shadows. My ultimate goal is to export the shirt textures with no color background and keeping it a transparent png. I want to use this transparent image on a website that has color behind it and can change the color using html Divs.
The issue is when I turn off the lower layer colors of the shirt the image is not trasnparent it is white. The multiply layers don't stay transparent. Is there a way to export the multiply layers as transparent? Is there a way to remake the layers as a raster image, rather than using the layer blending modes?
How can i transform and color a video without affecting cfx Text with any movement or color . I'm working on a stereoscopic project.
