I'm looking for an easy way to get a simple page fold effect on a 2D Logo. I'm playing around here in Axis with the surface set to Bicubic but I'm moving around the corners and handles and can't really achieve a realistic look. Is there something like page fold in the Avid where you can adjust the fold radius and it simply works....?
View 2 Repliesi have an image H:3639 W:4849 , now i want to resize it proportionally down to smaller resolution. Why there's no fast way to do scaling proportionally for example 2x , 3x or 1/4x etc. In above example , the only way is by using calculator and input a new custom destination resolution. My opinion is : there should be a button to grab whatever the source size and paste it into the destination h/w and then need a feature to lock the ratio , so while i change the w , the h will adjust automatically (simply like the 'prop' mode in the source area) . Right now i have to do too many 'click' and 'click' just for that simple task.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to add a small registered trademark to an existing logo. I have the front and the matte of the logo which I take in to paint. While in paint, I add the registered trademark using the text brush within the graphics option. However, I can't seem to get the matte of the trademark and the existing matte of the logo to show up when I view the matte it's either one or the other - not together. So when I render, I'm not getting both the original logo and the trademark rendered with both mattes. For now, I've just composited the two in Action so I can move forward with my work but I would like to know how to do this in paint.

GAP effect will work just fine If I not using action node on the schematic in cfx.
I can track an image ok, but how do I track text contained in a Gap Effect ? I can't see any tracking options in the Text manipulation screen.

How do I display just the current shot in Color Corrector Page time line, not whole sequence ?
Screen grab shows I am parked on a shot in Colour Warper but timeline shows whole 6 minute sequence rather than the shot I am working on.
I have a new project coming up.At the beginning, everything is supposed to be in a black and white world, just the product is supposed to be colored. And everywhere, where you place the product, the surroundings become colored too (as if being washed over with color). I already started playing around, but the result is not yet satisfying.

I have a problem everytime i apply the axis effect on a clip in the timeline. What happens is that smoke starts loading the effect, but hangs there, and after a while a message comes up saying that due to a software error smoke must close. But the only way to close it, is only if i do force quit process through terminal. Everything else works really well though, besides this specific issue with axis effect. This by the way didn't happen with Smoke 2013 SP2, maybe a hardware compatibility issue?

The footage that i'm using is SD PAL, in DV format (.mov) files, captured through firewire through Premiere CS6. Is it a problem of the footage? GPU? or am i missing something?
My computer specs are (i'm on a hackintosh for now...):
Smoke 2013 ext1 (Eduactional version)
Snow Leopard 10.6.8
Intel Quad Core Q9300
GPU NVIDIA 9800GT 1GB
4GB RAM
System is installed on a 500GB SATA drive , and media storage folder of smoke is placed on a 150GB Raptor disk.
This has happened repeatedly for me, importing a slate with soft text from 2012 corrupts my default library. I get-
"The following bins are corrupted: Default Library Choose recover or hit the Enter key to try and recover a backup version of the bins."
Recovering fails and I'm forced to hit cancel which let's me into the project with my media gone.
I have two lights in action. One spot with falloff and spread and one directional.
The directional light only show an effect on the text if I rotate it, but moving it along the Y-axis perpendicular to the text shows no changing effect.
Illustrator keeps freezing when applying an effect such as texture-grain to a simple gradient, or even rasterizing a simple black circle. My system is about a 6month old macbook pro with 16gb ram, i7 and AMD Radeon HD 6770M 1024 MB. What could be causing this? It wasn't like this when i first started using the laptop but has started to do it everytime i try and do any of those simple tasks recently.

My boss is having me design the backdrop for a competition he is hosting. He is an Event Producer. And Im trying to take the company logo and place it on an image in corelDRAW X5. I cant figure out how to erase the white from behind the logo. Or convert the image that will do it automatically.. I dont need a power point presentation, I have full access to all the tutorials and the stuff the program came with, and I need the education on this product anyways.
I'm trying to make a logo consisting of a bunch of simple shapes which are all individual layers. All of these layers are on top of a transparent canvas. I'm not sure if canvas is the right word, but basically what I mean is that I launched GIMP and made a new image that's 512x512 filled with transparency, and by default that became a layer titled background which I consider to be the canvas of my entire Image.
I can't seem to draw on new layers anymore. I've been trying to make new layers filled with transparency and draw on them with the free select tool, ensuring that the opacity is not 0 and that the layer is selected, but its drawing on the background layer rather than the layer I made to draw on. So now when I try to adjust the position of the layer, the shape I drew stays in the same spot because its not part of the layer.
I know that the AJA Kona 3 card has 2 outputs. Can Smoke send one eye to one channel and the other eye to the other of the Kona 3 card? Dual Stream output is what I am really getting at.

1. If I have a layered Photoshop file or png with an alpha channel (a still frame lower third), I see that I can import it as a multi layered clip, but what is the best way to have it in the sequence to show up properly?
2. If I have a QuickTime in animation format or Pro Res4444 format with an embedded alpha, how can I import that file to show and cut it on a top layer to animate above my video?
