AutoCad :: Turn A Level On In One Plan?
Oct 5, 2011I have a single plan referenced in twice (one mirrored from the other) as this is a duplex. I need to turn a level on in one Plan that I do not wish to be on in the other Plan.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAs we know we can freeze a layer on VP level. Is there any way to turn a layer on/off, on the block level?
Let's say, you have "Text" layer. You make a block out of other blocks (nesting blocks) which they contain objects on "Text" layer but you don't need those objects on your new block and on just that block you want to turn them off.
Is there a way to change the level that a floor plan view is associated to?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using Revit Architecture 2012 and I am having some issues with plan regions. I am not able to get my stairs to show up sometimes and I cannot figure out why. I have attached 2 images of my drawing to show the issue. The 2 floors in this image are a basement and lower level. I am on the basement level and the plan region cut plane is set to lower level and it is cut @ 4'. The top is lower level @ 7'-6" and the bottom and view depth are on basement @0'-0". If I turn the underlay on to show the lower level the stairs show up.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a rule that turns off all work geometry and sketches of an assembly and all referenced parts and assemblies.
This rule is almost perfect.
When i run the rule. All sketches and work geometry are turned off. But sketches in sub assemblies remain visible in the top assembly. When i open the document of the sub assembly the sketches are off.
So what I see is a top assembly 'override' of sketch visibility inside sub assemblies
How can I turn off visibility of a sketch on a level higher?
How can I turn it off permanently? Or change the default to off? It's always on when I open my drawings.
I save the files with it off, but when I reopen, it's still on. A real pain in the butt when plotting since if I batch plot, all of my contours are off, which eliminates using batch plot entirely. Luckily, I only have 5 figures at the moment, but once we get to design phase I will have many more and require batch plotting.
I'm using civil3d 2013, I have never run into this before with any other versions.
I'm having problems seeing the walls I drew at the foundation level in this project. The walls should be shown but I can't get to see them except in a 3d view. Also, when i intended to draw them, I think I should have done it from the foundation level plan but I could not set the plan view to see the above objects in order to draw from them. I drew it from another level and then I modified their base and top constraints afterwards..
I tried to modify the view range of the foundation level without success.
I am working in C3D 2011. The end station on my alignment is 163+02. The last major station label is 163+00. The label text overlap. I want to turn off the end label of 163+02. The end station is not checked in my Alignment Style or in the Geometry Points style. I am assuming there is a command in the Settings/Alignment/Commands that is overriding the changes I have made in individual styles. I have found some post concerning this from 2004 but they do not seem to be applicable in 2011.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI wanted to ask if by chance any of the scripting gurus here happen to have written an AI script that will take a number of selected sublayers/sub-sublayers and move them so they become top-level layers?
I am really needing this very badly, given that After Effects can only handle AI layers as separate entities. So I find myself moving tens, even hundreds of nested sublayers to the top level all the time.
Is it possible this script exists already?
How do I turn on/off wall elements in my plan view? I'd like just the core structure to show for dimensioning purposes and turn off the sheathing etc.
View 6 Replies View RelatedHow do I show high level walkways and balconies (in dashed outline) on the ground floor plan in a high volume space?
Obviously I can turn the first floor RCP on in the view and manually draw the information, but I assume these lines won't move if the walkways above move (or am I wrong?). Also this seems slightly wrong given the amount of automation available.
I am having a little trouble with some doors showing up on the level 1 door schedule that are actually on level 2. They are curtain wall doors.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am trying to adjust the noise level with the level tool but its not working. I move the arrows every which way see that it changes. I get it to were i want it them press ok and it only changes a little bit.
It become what it was in the preview. The level tool works when I add it as a new adjustment layer but I don't want like that I want to be able to copy the new level of noise I just made and can't if I add new adjustment. what should I do to fix this? O and this is the trial version and It wasn't working earlier with lots of other tool but i uninstalled it and now they are working except the level tool how I want it to.
The underlay does not show up for Level 1 when I am on Level 2, but it does show up for Level 2 when I am on Level 1. the underlay option is on for Level 1, so I'm not sure why it's not showing up. I am using Revit 2014.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am working in a project where I need to represent the reflecting ceiling edges in the plan view. I put the first floor plan as underlay, and selected the RCP projection but I don't see the dropped ceiling lines to select them with the linework command. I have done every thing possible with the view range but I don't see the lines.
View 7 Replies View RelatedSay I have an image where I'm attempting to extract a mask from and I've found that one of the channels will serve as a good starting point. Further suppose that I have found that I want to increase the luminance level of pixels in the range of 60 - 65 by 10 luminance levels each:
i.e. all pixels with luminance values of 60,61,62,63,64,65 would, after the operation have luminance values of 70,71,72,73,74,75. Is such a thing possible with Photoshop?
20110421veiwports turning off.jpg AutoCAD isnt being nice to me lately another hassle i have is the viewports randomly turn off ( they dont show anything) and when i turn those ones on, others turn off.
i dont know how to change the topic to "solved" however a collegue told me to enter MAXACTVP at the command line the value was 16, i was told to set it to 64 ( i had 21 viewports ) and they all came on.
I would like to know if I have a survey study (topographical study) of a terrain with lots of point in 3d coordinates, is there any way to generate the level curves automatically?
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to only show the second level of assmblies of a BOM in a parts list while making a idw drawing? I have an assembly that references two other assemblies that I want to get all children of the two assemblies and form a parts list. It is a bit complicated to explain but see the picture for SecondLevelBOM.png for more info. I can find the First Level BOM properties in the Parts list under the BOM Settings and Properties but cannot find the second.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having an issue with the order of my BOM. In the picture below I have an assembly with subassembly STR-35-241-19L-17450. The BOM for the subassembly is on the right in the picture and is ordered the way it should be. However when I open the BOM in the Top level assembly (left in the picture) the order is not the same. In fact the order is completely random for the subassembly. I need this order to match the subassembly so I can export it into our ERP system.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have some doubts about Level of Details. How to constraint the assembly in Level of detail mode. I need suppress the features in position mode not in Level of Detail mode.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have to create a workplane and then define the section.
Usually the sectioning is done w.r.t flat surface/s and then the section plane can be offset depending upon our requirement and placement in the assembly. I am not getting this offset option when I want a Sectioned View. The section takes where I click on the flat face straight.
I dont see any way to do this, maybe it is not possible ?
Where can I see it settings ? (if possible)
Is it possible to set a view representation and level of detail (combine them) at the same time in an assembly. Or do they have to be set individually?
Attached images show the first assembly option with four sections together. The second image shows the second assembly option with the top and bottom sections only.
What is the procedure to call a indented bom in idw level? i tried it by clicking ALL LEVEL in the bom window but no use.
View 6 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to disable the level of detail? I personally find this feature most annoying.
I am now starting to understand it after being tripped up by it early in my Inventor carrier.
But even now in understanding it more, I see no point in it.
The problem I have is I can have more then one level of detail in my model to show a specific way in my
one drawing. Then this specific level of detail when changed for a different drawing will screw with the first drawing.
Why can't one just suppress certain items without having to worry about this. Heck, isn't this what Iparts and iassemblies are for?
I'm trying to manage a list of strings at the application level.
The list is to be created/updated/deleted by a command passed on any open drawing. The list is transient, doesn't survive the closing of AutoCAD.
I must have only one copy of this list for all documents, NOT one list per document, as described in [URL]
