Everytime I add a floor and go to the section the walls are above the floor.
I am trying to create an elevation label that will give me the spot elevation followed by the letters "TC" and then on the line below subtract 4 inches from the elevation followed by the letters "BC". It's easy enogh to add the letters but the simple equation of elevation - 4 inches eludes me.

-changing osnapz variable
-latest civil 3d service pack
A few weeks ago I did not have this problem but once my computer was switched to the company's global server and c3d was reinstalled the problem appeared. Furthermore (post switchover), when a colleage of mine prepared a simple test drawing with just a line and a point, he was able to snap to that line without the point changing elevation. When he sent that drawing to me and I tried snapping the point to the object, the same problem occured with the point taking the elevation of the line object. I suspect it is a system variable issue
i have some existing drainage pipe and structures in a base plan that i need to change the invert (which is the easy part) and the top elevation to the existing top elevation that does not meet the minimum presect in civil 3d 2012 is there a way to change these min. to match my exisitng elevation for example i have a catch basin invert is 15.45 top is 17.56 with a 18" rcp the cover will be less than 12" and i need to change this.

It become what it was in the preview. The level tool works when I add it as a new adjustment layer but I don't want like that I want to be able to copy the new level of noise I just made and can't if I add new adjustment. what should I do to fix this? O and this is the trial version and It wasn't working earlier with lots of other tool but i uninstalled it and now they are working except the level tool how I want it to.
The underlay does not show up for Level 1 when I am on Level 2, but it does show up for Level 2 when I am on Level 1. the underlay option is on for Level 1, so I'm not sure why it's not showing up. I am using Revit 2014.

Further suppose that I have found that I want to increase the luminance level of pixels in the range of 60 - 65 by 10 luminance levels each:
i.e. all pixels with luminance values of 60,61,62,63,64,65 would, after the operation have luminance values of 70,71,72,73,74,75. Is such a thing possible with Photoshop?
We are looking for a way to export BOM's without having to open individual IDW's.
We were unable to find such a function in either Inventor or Vault Workgroup. We have found customized function for export but each file has to be opened. Is there such a function available that we might have missed or third party?
We are currently working with 2011 versions of Inventor and Vault Workgroup, soon to be migrated to 2013.

What are the ways to tell AutoCAD to do this task?
I've recently changed idw template and since then when I put part view into new draft the file name don't change into source file name.
In standard template, when I save the .idw file it automatically propose name that is equal to source .ipt and .iam. Why when I'm saving files it won't propose file name the same as the source ipt file name?
I have overlaid Autocad points on a polygon topology representing tree stands. I now want to somehow attribute the points so that the points within each stand are numbered sequentially in a top to bottom, left to right order starting with number 1 and prefix each point number with the stand number. These attributed points will need to be exported to a shape file for use in ArcGIS.
How this might be accomplished aside from manually typing in the attributes. I've considered using the Text Numbering tool in Express Tools but Map requires blocks for Point topology attributes. I've also considered object data but I don't see any way to automate the data.
I am using Civil Series/LDT/Map 2004 but I also have C3D 2011, ArcGIS 9.2, Microstation v8i Select Series 1 and Dotsoft Toolpac if any of those tools would offer a better approach.
I often need to work on big drawings having utility networks, topographic surveys and properties. Whenever using FIND command in such a drawing AutoCAD regens the drawing. This happens even if FIND command is cancelled and takes 2 to 3 seconds everytime. Can I disable this automatic regen and do only when I need.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there a simpler way of creating Isolines (more like transition geometry) between a couple of flat 2D profiles?
Isolines.PNG
Currently I am using the LOFT command for the purpose. But it doesn't automatically produce the desired Isolines as both the "parent profiles" are in the same plane. For that, I have to manually elevate one "parent profile" then change the Isoline UV number, then do some export/import WMF thingy to remove the unwanted edge profile...
I beleive this qualifies as a general acad question, I am using Civil 3D. We have a sheet set that is 237 sheets, all in one discipline. The individual sheet numbers are in a field in the title block. These numbers are pulled in from the page number in the sheet properties which is manually entered. However when a sheet is added or removed, this requires a large amount of work renumbering all the sheet properties so that the sheet numbers are up-to-date. Isn't there a way that acad will automatically revise the sheet numbers so they are up-to-date without having to renumber all the sheets?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhat I'd like to know is if there's a way to automatically update the sheet number in separate dwgs.
For example: at work we have 45 separate dwgs in multiple disciplines. Is there a way to have the "x" in "Sheet X of 45" update automatically on each sheet? This way whenever we insert/delete a sheet in the set it automatically knows which number it is in regard to the set as a whole.
Running Autocad 2008 btw. Full Version.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to have Inventor to automatically export a SAT file when I close the program, I have searched the discussion boards and have not been able to find any post about automatic export in Inventor or Revit.
Goal:
My goal is to have Inventor to automatically export a SAT file in order to have those who are using Revit MEP to always have a updated version of the Inventor Model in their model drawing and vise versa.. This I think would take the human factor out of the equation, WHY?.. well we humans tend to forget about those working around us and are not that good in exporting a updated file every day!
In AutoArchitect 2012 I am getting unwanted zooms in my viewports, for instance if I'm pasting in a portion of another drawing, disturbing the drawing scale. I don't like working with all the viewports locked, but I really don't want AutoCAD zooming for me. How do I turn off this new feature?

As you see in the picture I have a subdivision that follows a curving road, and therefore all the lot lines also follow the road. This is unfortunate, as I have been creating label styles 1 by 1 for left, center, right, for every angle of line. Is there a way to get your label to go parallel with the line automatically?
What I am thinking of is with structures, there is that circular grip that rotates the structure, is there something similar to this with labels? or must i keep grinding away making the labels one by one in their separate degree intervals.
Right now I have 33 label styles.... and I am not even 1/4 of the way done.
I created a dll and wanted to auto netload it upon launch of AutoCAD Arch.I have used the following instructions in URL....
"DESCRIPTION"="AutoNetloadDLL"
"LOADCTRLS"=dword:00000002
"MANAGED"=dword:00000001
"LOADER"="C:MyAppinReleaseMyApp.dll"
However, when i typed in my commands for the dll, AutoCAD displayed Unknown Command "<Command Name>". Press F1 for help.I have tried suggestions by people comments in the above link (i.e. setting acdbmgd.dll and acmgd.dll to Copy Local = False, restarting computer) , but I have done so, and the error still persists.
I also have used the method as suggested by writing a STARTUP lisp function to auto netload the dll file in URL...But the same error persists. I have used Process Explorer to check if acad.exe has loaded the DLL, and it did! But the commands are not found.
When I manually netload the dll by typing the netload command and selecting the dll, there is no such issue. This only occurs to me when I tried the auto methods.The methods only works so far if I launch acad.exe through Debug mode in VS2008.Definitely need to auto netload the DLL for my application, when AutoCAD Arch startups.
When I setup my model for the FEA and hit Automatic Contacts, no contacts are detected .... You can see in the image I posted that Automatic Contacts is greyed out (once applied) and no Contacts are in the the Folder. I have ensured that my assembly contraints are valid and that they are indeed mated (face to face) - see image below. The Manual Contacts will work, but that kind of defeats the purpose of having the Automatic one. I have never altered any options or settings within the Simulation. I am using INV 2013 Pro. Most of the pieces in my assembly are 2x2x0.125 HSS (right out of CC).
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am having problems with the automatic field updates. I've made a dynamic block with a length parameter "LENGTE (mm)" and a stretch action. In this block I also made a Attribute "LENGTE" the value of this attribute is linked to the length of the parameter with a field. The system variable "FIELDEVAL" is 31, so when I save or plot, or ..., the value of the attribute will be updated to the exact length of the parameter.
Now when I insert the block and stretch the parameter to a desired length and I save the drawing the attribute is updated and it has the same value as the parameter. But when I close the drawing and I open it again AutoCAD changes this value to ###. I tried the command "UPDATEFIELD" but the value doesn't come back. I have made a command string "c^c^_fieldeval;0;0;save;close" so that when i close the drawing AutoCAD sets the system variable FIELDEVAL to 0 then saves it and closes the drawing, so when I open the drawing again AutoCAD doesn't update the fields. That solved the problem. When I open the drawing again, I made a command to put the fieldeval back to the default value "31", so when I change the length parameter the attribute "LENGTE" will be updated again after a save or a plot. But then it goes wrong and AutoCAD changes the value back in ###. What is the reason that AutoCAD can't update that field, it works fine when the drawing stays open but when the drawing has been closed and I open it again it doesn't work anymore?
I've created a Sheet Set and added custom properties for things such as Drawn By, Checked By and such. Whenever I link my title block to these fields, the value shows up but when I change the value in the Sheet Set properties, the value is not automatically updated. I have to manually redirect it to the field. Why isn't it being updated automatically?
