AutoCAD Dynamic Blocks :: Limit A Stretch Or Move But With A Variable Value?
Dec 17, 2011I would like to find a way to give a maximum and minimum length to a stretch (or move) but without absolute values.
simplified example of my block:
I have 2 squares, of which one big on, and a smaller one within the bigger one. I want to be able to stretch both squared indefinatly (no problem there), but the big square may never become smaller than the small one, and the small one may never become bigger than the big one...
In other words: the inside square should always stay inside the bigger one, no matter the size of the squares.
The problem with this block is that I have a hatch pattern between the squares, and as soon as i stretch the small square outside (or equal) to the big square... the hatch pattern 'crashes'.

I have created a dynamic block. Herein I placed stretch actions parameter set to strecht parts including anotative text.
Now the block seems to work fine.
- When I am in modelspace and I change the annotation scale the text is changed correct
- When I am in modelspace and I change the stretch value of the dynamic block everything goes fine.
But when I am in modelspace and I change the stretch value in one of the annotiaton scales and then switch to another scale my text is changed annotativly (this is what I want) but the stretch value is set back to default (which should be at the changed value).
AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Grade Break Increments
Sep 13, 2013I have a profile set up with a surface an alignment and a Water Main. I would like to place grade breaks (Using Profile labels) every 100' along the surface however the increment field isn't available for grade breaks. Weeding doesn't work because it needs to be exactly every 100' I was thinking of creating an expression for it however I still haven't reached that level of expertise.

Dec 13, 2011Is there any way to have a dynamic block which utilises a similar function to TCOUNT. I am doing drawings for solar panel installations and have set up a dynamic block for our different panels that we use, which i have used xy paramater with the array action to make life simple when inserting panels onto a drawing... however we number these panels 1 to ~ ... we could have 3 on one roof but we could also have over 100... is there any way to have the dynamic block auto increment the text automatically? At the moment i use the block to show 20 panels then i explode and use the tcount command to increment the text in selection order.
Or... how i could go about doing lets say a data entry for example insert block-> Dialogue for amount of panels / amount of panels in a row or column? And after selecting that data the block will automatically have numbers 1-x...
I have attached a sample block so you can try and get an understanding of what im after.
AutoCAD Inventor :: Mouse Scroll Wheel - Zooming Increments
Nov 19, 2012When zooming in and out using the mouse wheel, the increments used in zooming are rather course.
I've tried changing the windows mouse options to no effect within Inventor. I've also looked around the application settings and could not readily find any options which adjusts zooming increment.
Is there even such an option, or am I out of luck on this one?
AutoCAD Dynamic Blocks :: Column Radiator - Lists And Increments In Same Block
Jul 17, 2013I'm making a dynamic block of a column radiator. Like all column radiators, this particular model comes in a range of heights, and a range of standard widths. But, because it's a cloumn radiator, you can always add another column, so making a non-standard width. There's usually a small cost associated with going with a non-standard width.
1. Is there a (fairly) simple way to represent this concept within a Dynamic Block?
2. At the moment, I'm ignoring this fact and just have a long list of all the valid increments. I did it as a list (as opposed to increments) so that the user could easily see what length they were providing.
As I see it, the downside of this approach is that the base point of the block is at one end of the radiator, rather than in the middle, so in most cases, if you stretch the block, you also have to reposition it. The best option would be to be able to choose whether the base point was in the middle or at one end (with the default being in the middle) but, and here's my question, if the base point is in the middle won't the list values be half their actual value? This would make radiator selection even more tediuos and confusing than it already is!
AutoCAD Map 3D :: GIS Data - Feature Was Not Saved In The Target Feature Source
Jun 16, 2011I have been working with some GIS data in the form of SHP files in autocad map 3D 2011. On one of my layers I have started getting "Feature was not saved in the target feature source" when I try to check in my data. In total there are 308 errors in the data table, all of which were features I deleted. They all have a featID of null and I cannot remove them from the data table. I need to fix these errors without going back and starting over.

Aug 18, 2011increase productivity and usability with the selection tool. When a large image is zoomed out and you create a selection, obviously not every mouse increment can correspond to increasing or decreasing the width or height by a single pixel.
But this can cause some problems. For example, if I am viewing an image at just 50%, the selection will increment or decrement by 2px starting at 1px, leading each increment to be an odd number. For those working in design, this can be somewhat frustrating especially when trying to create selections 300x200, or some other even number. To remedy this, I suggest snapping these selections to increments of five. So instead of the with going 235,237,239,241 it would go 235,237,240,241. That way you hit every single multiple of five and ten.

Jul 23, 2008I have used many different video editing packages and really like videostudio. The high quality output and many features make it a solid product.
However, I am confused why there is no way to change the speed of an audio or video clip in smaller than 1% increments. 1% is a very large increment, even when dealing with a 3 minute clip. An exact sync is near-impossible. .1% would be a great deal better.
I see in the 'change speed' dialog that you can also choose the clip duration, down to 10ths of seconds. But when I do this it seems to 'snap' to the nearest percent.
Is there no way to change the speed in smaller increments than 1% or am I missing something?
Illustrator :: Snap To Grid And Keyboard Increments
Feb 5, 2013Cannot make snap to grid to work, tried the following and while trying I came across another issue. If align to pixel grid is unchecked when opening new documents then snap to grid does not work, but the smart guides don't work either. They appear only when the align to pixel grid is rechecked in the transform panel. Now no snap no smart guides either.
Is there another option other than in preferences for the snap to grid to work or the smart guides to work?
Also, I set my grid to lines every 10mm subdivisions every 1mm and my keyboard increments to 10mm so why then does my 10x10mm no stroke no fill square move 11mm with each keyboard stroke? Set this up so that the object would then snap to the grid, but it does not, whether or not the align to pixel grid is checked or unchecked either way it does not work.
Latest lion latest illustartor update, in the wishful thinking that it would fix it, but still have the same problem.
deleted the cache too still nothing.
p.s I do not know what changed, but it used to work before
