Jun 14, 2008I am really struggling to get this dynamic block working - It's a plan view on the flight of steps and I would like to space the risers equally between the bottom and top nosing. I was trying to use array but the value (tread going) stays the same... So I need something thath would work just like divide command.
Eventually I need a block with different tread numbers which will be just a matter of creating a few visibility states

Sep 15, 2013[URL] When I use a point on an existing geometry as reference to place a new line or shape, I get a strange result when attemting to move either geometry.
As you can see in the video the two shapes will BOTH move when only ONE is selected.
Also, it seems that the shape/ lines that are not selected but still move are anchored somewhow which causes distortion.

I was previously using 2009, and I could add dimension labels by picking two points (endpoints, intersections, etc.) to get the whole line or just a segment. In Civil 3D 2012, I create styles and add labels through the annotate tab, but I can only selct the line or curve in its entirety. There must be a way to easily label portions of a line or multiple segments as one line.

Feb 15, 2012I have got a large drawing with multiple viewports and some layers that are shown in model space won't show when I access model space from paper space (through the viewport). I have had a look at the layer manager through the viewport and everything is switched on, there is no viewport freeze activated but still I can't see the lines in the viewport in paper space (either in model or paperthrough the template).

I have set up my point styles to bring in our points with all the attribute information so I am thinking it keeps trying to read all that info as soon as my mouse hits it..

I've attached an image of my section editor for one of my sample lines. Feb 1, 2012I have a newly discovered issue with left clicking and moving lines and points in 2D-sketch.
After working in Inventor for a while I cant move lines and points(green and unconstrained geometry). If I exit 2D sketch mode and enter again I can move a line once and then its back to not being able to manipulate the geometry at all, the curser just want to create a marking box.
I have a new optical mouse with cord, its a Logitech G400. I have switched mouse but with the same result.I have installed the latest driver for the mouse.

Jul 21, 2013I wanna interpolate points from surface but only in that area where my sample lines intersecting with the surface. There is a point creation tool that makes this based on polylines but I have to many data and it will get to much time to do this. So, for better understanding I attached some pictures, in the first picture it is shown the final result which I have made based on polylines, but here is also a problem, the tool is not putting points where the surface is changing ( on my second picture I highlighted with red circles).

Jan 5, 2012I can create a block where you stretch a line and the opposite side stretches equally in an opposite direction but I can't find anything with stretching equally in the same direction.
The block in questions is a door with windows to the side. The door size will remain fixed but as I stretch the window jamb I would like the two mullions to stretch to create an equal stretch.

Jan 17, 2012I have been trying (albeit unsuccessfully) to draw a DB that requires a hole spacing of 16" maximum. The problem with this is that a pair of holes will need to be added or subtracted based on the width while not exceeding this 16" maximum dimension, but maintaining even spacing. I.E., when this block is stretched down, a pair of holes needs to be subtracted and the remaining holes need to be spaced evenly. I have attached the block drawn at it's maximum width and most required holes at this width with stretch parameters for each hole set. The best idea I could think of would be visibility states for each series of holes that would be activated when the block is stretched accordingly but just can't seem to make it work.
