View 11 Replies View RelatedI have a series of images that have been designed - very basic shapes (a straight vertical line with a ball on top in which ascending numbers are placed in each one. So effectively each image is made up of 3 seperate parts and look like numbered lollipops. Each of these images are currently evenly spaced apart and formatted so the text is all properly aligned and sized etc - I would like to be able to copy certain groups of these images and paste them into a new working document which is fine, but I then need to somehow re-space them out to scale once they've been pasted in. So for example i have copied them in and they are 20mm apart to each other (as per my original drawing that i copied from) - is there a way of then altering this spacing so that for example so that they are all 33mm apart but still retail the original formatting properties so they are not stretched etc?

is there a way to COPY objects from model space to paper space? CHSPACE only "cuts" geometry. I need the same geometry stacked in both model space and paper space.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI often produce graphics in CorelDRAW, export it as en eps file and insert it inside a MS Word document as an image and finally convert it to pdf. This way my vector graphics (often linedrawings with or without fill) usually is preserved in the final pdf document. I can zoom in and the lines keep on displaying perfectly sharp. This is important, since it easily looks bad when thin lines are turned into bitmaps, even when watched from a distance.
Now, in some graphics I created today, I had a circle with fountain fill and outline (symbolizing a sphere) put behind a filled rectangle, which had a uniform transparency applied to it. In the resulting pdf file, the 'sphere' was turned into bitmap. Inside CorelDRAW everything was vector graphics, but something was loast in the process. what happens with the graphics in the different steps in the process and eventually could explain a workaround to make everything look as vector in the final pdf file.
I seem to be having a problem to where there is white space between objects and no matter how many times I intersect paths I still have white-space between objects. Obviously if you are making some sort of illustration, even a pixel worth of white space could prove to be problematic. we are seeing white space between the blue and purple objects.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to alter the space between multiple objects without changing the objects themselves? Kind of like inflating/deflating a balloon with dots on the surface (the dots would get bigger/smaller). I've tried Transform>Move>Distance, and Effect>Distort & Transform>Transform>Move>Horizontal/Vertical, but both methods just moved all selected objects away from the origin point - no change to the space between objects.

Dim bt As BlockTable = tr.GetObject(DB.BlockTableId(), OpenMode.ForRead)
Dim btr As BlockTableRecord = tr.GetObject(bt(BlockTableRecord.ModelSpace),

Know how to do it in Photoshop via the keyboard. Is there a way of doing it in CAD?
I worked all day yesterday on a drawing and late afternoon all the objects in model space disappeared except for an OLE object (jpg photo). Objects in the two paper spaces are left unchanged. I don't remember what command I was using at the time. There was another OLE jpg that disappeared in model space. It appears that all layers are on. The file is fairly large - 12 MB and even though the objects disappeared, the size has remained the same so I'm hoping that they are still there somewhere. Zoom All and Regen doesn't work.
I use Autocad LT 2013 and Windows 7. The file is too large to attach.
I have two objects that I would like to link together in model space. I realize this is easy to do using paper space but I am curious if this can be done in model space.
The two objects are wire connections but they are spaced far apart in my drawing and can be a pain trying to find thier locations all the time. if I could select or click the first connector and be able to pan or zoom to the appropriate connection by link or other means.
I have always been able to highlight separate objects in model space, and now i can only do one at at time??? I click on the second object, and the first one stops being highlighted.
I don't know if somehow i changed a setting on accident, but i don't know how to get it back to be able to do multiple separately.
We are trying to create a set of palettes for a building type that we specialize in. How do we add the spaces to a design palette and can we include a room tag with it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIn a 2D drawing I want to arrange model space objects in a pviewport such that a specific model space point is in the center of the pviewport. I'm manipulating the pviewport properties to try to accomplish this. To have the view perpendicular to the model space XY plane, I've set the pviewport direction property at 0,0,1 and am varying the arrangement of model space objects with the pviewport target property.
When doing this by hand, I use the DVIEW command and the POints option to set the camera and target. The model space point I want in the center of the pviewport is 16.25,11.5,0. In the DVIEW command, POints option, I set target to 16.25,11.5,0 and camera to 16.25,11.5,1.
When attempting to do this with a macro I'm not finding any obvious correlation between the pviewport target property setting and the location of the desired model space point. Below are the lines to set the target property in a pviewport called PVPort created in previous steps. When I set the target property to 0,0,0, the model space point 45.3541, 17, 0 is in the center of the pviewport. When I set the target property to 16.25,11.5,0, the model space point 61.6041,28.5,0 is in the center of the pviewport.
If the pviewport has a twist angle of a scale not 1.0 (and therfore a different model space point I'm wanting in the center of the pviewport), it gets more confusing.
Dim VPP(0 to 2) as Double
VPP(0) = 0: VPP(1) = 0: VPP(2) = 0
PVPort.Target = VPP
I have a multiple blocks in my drawing and I would like to select certain obejects within these block from model space, i.e all lines = White, and then return their their combined length.
At the moment I have to explode all of the blocks, use qselect, run length.lsp to get the combined length of the selection and then undo the actions previous to the block explosion.
I'm trying to get the distribute tool to distribute some text objects (for a website menu) evenly. however, using the distribute section of the alignment tool only enables me to set an offset that measure the distance between the left, center or right edge of each object. if the objects are different widths, they will have varying distances between their edges.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a drawing with many connector labels and pin numbers which are typically arranged as two vertical columns. Each label and/or pin numbers are individual MTEXT objects. The original author did not space them uniformly as an array and I would like to clean it up without having to re-enter it.
How can I select the multiple MTEXT objects and force the spacing between all of them to a desired spacing (say .2") or to have them nudge to the nearest Y grid?
We experienced a problem. we have a drawing file, is about 1.6meg not big. while working in model space doing some 3D work, all of a sudden all the objects dissapear except for some text. all layers are on and thawed. we regen all, zoom all. weird thing is when we go into the paper space tabs everything shows up. so all the data is there some place but cant find it in model space.
there are no xrefs in the drawings and i had cleaned all the multiple copies out before to keep the file size down and more workable. this is happening on two machines. other drawings are fine.
I would like to enlarge about 400 tiny ellipse but I need them to fit in the same space and not spread out.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI can create a block where you stretch a line and the opposite side stretches equally in an opposite direction but I can't find anything with stretching equally in the same direction.
The block in questions is a door with windows to the side. The door size will remain fixed but as I stretch the window jamb I would like the two mullions to stretch to create an equal stretch.
I have been trying (albeit unsuccessfully) to draw a DB that requires a hole spacing of 16" maximum. The problem with this is that a pair of holes will need to be added or subtracted based on the width while not exceeding this 16" maximum dimension, but maintaining even spacing. I.E., when this block is stretched down, a pair of holes needs to be subtracted and the remaining holes need to be spaced evenly. I have attached the block drawn at it's maximum width and most required holes at this width with stretch parameters for each hole set. The best idea I could think of would be visibility states for each series of holes that would be activated when the block is stretched accordingly but just can't seem to make it work.
View 7 Replies View Relateddividing a page equally and most importantly accurately in photoshop/illustor/indesign(all CS3) i guess you could think of it as exstablishing a grid.
so to be more specific here are the measurments of my photoshop document:
height: 27.3cm
width: 18.4 cm
so what im trying to do is divde this in to a grid field of 16, ie 4 fields deep and 4 fields high
now what i have tried to do is divide the page in half, so 18.4/2=9.2cm
but the rulers on my page go up in halves so 1,1.5,2,2.5cm so how do i indicate the 9.2 mark accurately. is there a way to make the ruler more accurate?
the same problem goes with the height.
hope u guys can help! ive been wrecking my brains with this one!
also i have some really quickfire questions:
1) should i always work in CMYK and print in CMYK?
2) can someone explain spot color and how to take something to print using it.
How do i rotate objects, plans...etc on model space in a view port.
