Photoshop :: How To Put Equal Amounts Of Space Between Objects
Feb 22, 2012
I realize that you can align objects in Photoshop, and that there are options to distribute horizontal and vertical centers, but how would I put an equal amount of space between objects like with the "Distribute Spacing" option in the illustrator align panel?

I used the Array command many years ago in college but have never needed it since.
However yesterday I was required to copy a block at even spaces 12 times along a straight line.
I done this manually but then realised that the array tool could do this.
how to space something along a line at equal distances using the array command.

I'm simply creating a word on an artboard "Item #1" at 90pt bold and centered to the artboard. I now want to copy it a couple of times on the same artboard by holding down alt + shift and dragging beneath it to create new copies of the word with the goal of printing this artboard and using a paper cutter to make evenly cut labels.
1. How do I create a consistent amount of space between each label when I drag each copy down?
2. If I already have the labels on an artboard, how can I space them out so that there is an even amount of space between them?

I have a project with lots of holes to cut on CNC cutter, but I have to change the spacing between the holes (from 23mm to 18mm)
In the *.cdr file, the holes are seperate objects/circles with a precise angle between each of the holes and I do not want to change that angle.
Is there a function, that I for example select two holes, write the distance between them and it makes it?

I have a problem with the VrayDisplacementMod. I have a large green area covered with grass ( a golf course ). There shoud be 3 types of different grass colour and hights. I have made my grass using the VrayDisplacementMod and received really great ( as for my needs ) results . Also have used the vertex map for the cool mix for the grass as the main gras in the middle is a yellowishgreen when the rest is covered by the darker grass ( around the main one ) . There is now really nice effect bettwen these 2 grasses but the problem is that the whole area has the same amount of VrayDisplacement....
I mean to get the effect where the dark graas around is much higher than the other one (in the middle of the area ) but I would like the grass getting smaller in a unnoticed way so that we could NOT see the border line between the hights ( just like the colour using the vertex map )

I am finishing up the exterior design of a building which consists out of metal plating which should be laser cut with a pattern. Now I drew the lines for the laser cutter as a template which will fit the pattern into the contours of the exterior design. Only problem which occurs is that my pattern, which I have group to easily copy, creates very slow desktop performance.
How to I external trim all the groups at once because it does not seem to do this. I can´t attach the cad-file because manager won´t let me. but it trimmed some of the group but not all the lines in them. How is this possible? I've tried blocks but they don't clip either.

I recently upgraded to 32 GB of RAM, thinking Premiere Pro CC would work amazingly. At first it does, but after about half hour of editing, my system shows 25GB of "disk cache" in RAM memory used up. This means my system is maxed out with RAM. And the result is choppy playback even at 1/4 resolution. Why is Premiere tying up so much RAM? Is there a way to limit that?

Fatal Errors when editing large amounts of MText? I usually have to insert a good amount of drawing notes that we keep in word documents on our network and i find that the process of editing them causes me to Fatal Error when trying even the simplest edit, like erasing a sentence or changing a name.
How to edit the document in word before copy/pasting it into CAD, but the documents are locked for editing as is our standard practice for the general notes that we use.
I am going to make a dummy drawing in hopes of making my changes in an empty drawing, (although I strongly feel this is not a file size issue but a word to CAD translation issue).

I seem to be having a problem to where there is white space between objects and no matter how many times I intersect paths I still have white-space between objects. Obviously if you are making some sort of illustration, even a pixel worth of white space could prove to be problematic. we are seeing white space between the blue and purple objects.

Is there a way to alter the space between multiple objects without changing the objects themselves? Kind of like inflating/deflating a balloon with dots on the surface (the dots would get bigger/smaller). I've tried Transform>Move>Distance, and Effect>Distort & Transform>Transform>Move>Horizontal/Vertical, but both methods just moved all selected objects away from the origin point - no change to the space between objects.

I have some code in a VBA program I'm trying to convert to .net that loops through all the entities in model space as in the code snip below. What I can't figure out is how to get the total number of objects in model space at the start so I can use this info to advance a progress bar. ie the equivilent of VBA's "ThisDrawing.ModelSpace.Count"
Dim bt As BlockTable = tr.GetObject(DB.BlockTableId(), OpenMode.ForRead)
Dim btr As BlockTableRecord = tr.GetObject(bt(BlockTableRecord.ModelSpace),
OpenMode.ForRead)
' Loop for each entity in the modelspace
For Each entId As ObjectId In btr
'<code sniped>
'advance progress bar
Next

I worked all day yesterday on a drawing and late afternoon all the objects in model space disappeared except for an OLE object (jpg photo). Objects in the two paper spaces are left unchanged. I don't remember what command I was using at the time. There was another OLE jpg that disappeared in model space. It appears that all layers are on. The file is fairly large - 12 MB and even though the objects disappeared, the size has remained the same so I'm hoping that they are still there somewhere. Zoom All and Regen doesn't work.
I use Autocad LT 2013 and Windows 7. The file is too large to attach.

I have a series of images that have been designed - very basic shapes (a straight vertical line with a ball on top in which ascending numbers are placed in each one. So effectively each image is made up of 3 seperate parts and look like numbered lollipops. Each of these images are currently evenly spaced apart and formatted so the text is all properly aligned and sized etc - I would like to be able to copy certain groups of these images and paste them into a new working document which is fine, but I then need to somehow re-space them out to scale once they've been pasted in. So for example i have copied them in and they are 20mm apart to each other (as per my original drawing that i copied from) - is there a way of then altering this spacing so that for example so that they are all 33mm apart but still retail the original formatting properties so they are not stretched etc?

I have two objects that I would like to link together in model space. I realize this is easy to do using paper space but I am curious if this can be done in model space.
The two objects are wire connections but they are spaced far apart in my drawing and can be a pain trying to find thier locations all the time. if I could select or click the first connector and be able to pan or zoom to the appropriate connection by link or other means.

In a 2D drawing I want to arrange model space objects in a pviewport such that a specific model space point is in the center of the pviewport. I'm manipulating the pviewport properties to try to accomplish this. To have the view perpendicular to the model space XY plane, I've set the pviewport direction property at 0,0,1 and am varying the arrangement of model space objects with the pviewport target property.
When doing this by hand, I use the DVIEW command and the POints option to set the camera and target. The model space point I want in the center of the pviewport is 16.25,11.5,0. In the DVIEW command, POints option, I set target to 16.25,11.5,0 and camera to 16.25,11.5,1.
When attempting to do this with a macro I'm not finding any obvious correlation between the pviewport target property setting and the location of the desired model space point. Below are the lines to set the target property in a pviewport called PVPort created in previous steps. When I set the target property to 0,0,0, the model space point 45.3541, 17, 0 is in the center of the pviewport. When I set the target property to 16.25,11.5,0, the model space point 61.6041,28.5,0 is in the center of the pviewport.
If the pviewport has a twist angle of a scale not 1.0 (and therfore a different model space point I'm wanting in the center of the pviewport), it gets more confusing.
Dim VPP(0 to 2) as Double
VPP(0) = 0: VPP(1) = 0: VPP(2) = 0
PVPort.Target = VPP
