AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Fatal Errors When Editing Large Amounts Of MText

Fatal Errors when editing large amounts of MText? I usually have to insert a good amount of drawing notes that we keep in word documents on our network and i find that the process of editing them causes me to Fatal Error when trying even the simplest edit, like erasing a sentence or changing a name.
How to edit the document in word before copy/pasting it into CAD, but the documents are locked for editing as is our standard practice for the general notes that we use.
I am going to make a dummy drawing in hopes of making my changes in an empty drawing, (although I strongly feel this is not a file size issue but a word to CAD translation issue).

I recently upgraded to 32 GB of RAM, thinking Premiere Pro CC would work amazingly. At first it does, but after about half hour of editing, my system shows 25GB of "disk cache" in RAM memory used up. This means my system is maxed out with RAM. And the result is choppy playback even at 1/4 resolution. Why is Premiere tying up so much RAM? Is there a way to limit that?

I can't open a drawing I saved yesterday afternoon. I always get a fatal error after reaching 98%. When i try doing recovery I get a message that is something like a program failure.Is there any way to open that drawing?

I am finishing up the exterior design of a building which consists out of metal plating which should be laser cut with a pattern. Now I drew the lines for the laser cutter as a template which will fit the pattern into the contours of the exterior design. Only problem which occurs is that my pattern, which I have group to easily copy, creates very slow desktop performance.
How to I external trim all the groups at once because it does not seem to do this. I can´t attach the cad-file because manager won´t let me. but it trimmed some of the group but not all the lines in them. How is this possible? I've tried blocks but they don't clip either.

When I move a selection of image files from one folder to another within lightroom there is always an error with at least one image and it doesn't make the move and is left. I can then reselect this image and then move it again.

I created two new projects yesterday and both of them had fatal exception errors on closing and they did generate a message that was sent to you.
I have not been able to open them or recover them. How can I recover these documents. I've tried to open them in AutoCAD WS... but they fail on upload. I've tried to attach the files, but it says they are too large.

I have numerous MText paragraphs that I need to combine into a single piece of MText. I want the paragraphs preserved in the final piece. I've found some routines that can combine pieces of MText but I don't know if they preserve the paragraphs.I have DotSoft Toolpac but it doesn't seem up to the task. C

I'm having issues opening JPEG files with a large pixel size. I'm using Photoshop CS3 Extended under Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3, I have 4GB RAM (So just over 3GB effective in XP) and an AMD Athlon 6x X2 4200 Dual-CPU. My page file is set to 8GB! Photoshop is set to use up to 80% of my RAM
The issue relates to all large images I try to open, but the example I am going to use as an example regards a stitched panorama with pixel dimensions of 38,156 x 2,207. I know that is huge for most people.
When trying to open the image in Photoshop i get the following message:
"Could not complete your request because of a problem parsing the JPEG data"
I think the issue relates to the size of the image, but it opens fine in windows picture and fax viewer, and also in Paintshop Pro X2 (Though in PSP X2 i can only modify the first 24,000 pixels accross before it refuses to do anything else)
Why can't photoshop open the images, i would reduce their size, but i need them for a room-sized display (Some 20 feet long) so i can't reduce the image size without losing quality when they are printed. On the other hand i can't print them until i correct some image/colour issues with photoshop.

I am using autocad 2011, in that i have some MTEXT's , i am trying to make them at same height & same font, i am selecting the all fonts & then properties & then making all height "3" & font style "arial" but if i double clicked on text it's showing me "1.37" height & "calibri" font

Whenever I enter the MTEXT editing function, then type a letter on any given line of text, that line rotates to the world UCS. This makes typing almost impossible, as the overlapping text can't be read clearly.
I'm using AutoCAD 2013 for Mac and looking at my drawing with a rotated UCS.

I have mtext in several drawings that contains an error that'd I'd like to fix using Lisp. An example of what this text should look like is:
NOTE:
SEE DRAWING XXXX FOR DRIVE DETAILS
The fist problem is that all of the text after the note has a width factor of 0.1 and is all squished together. The second problem is that the text height of the title (the "NOTE:" part) is supposed to be larger than the actual note (the "SEE DRAWING XXXX FOR DRIVE DETAILS" PART). Is there a way to fix this using lisp? I had a lisp in progress (not done) which is:

While generating a General Legal Description for Parcels xml report for a parcel with numerous tangent curves, reverse curves and compound curves, the report labels all of them as non-tangent.Also, I write my legal descriptions for curves by citing the bearing and distance OUT to the radius from the beginning of the curve, but the routine gives me the bearing and distance IN from the radius. It is using the code {curveStartDirection}.
Is there a different code I can use that would give me the opposite bearing? Is there some resource that lists all these codes for parcels?

I have a 64-bit Windows 7 computer that we are running Civil 3D 2013. We have attempted to create a survey database but get the attached .NET error.
Repairing the .NET throught Control Panel as well as running the Microsoft .NET Repair Tool. (After repairing the .NET we would get another error shown below)We have changed the UAC (User Account Control) for Windows 7We have also tried to find any .LDB for the database and did not find any Checked the folder settings which this user is an admin on his computerWe also created a survey database from other computers which are using WindowsXP 32bit and he was not able to access the database that way either Second error:

We have recently made the switch to Civil 3D for our firm and are running into some issues with intersections. I am getting an error stating that "The primary road for this T-junction will result in a circular dependency with the existing intersections." When trying to make an intersection at the middle intersecting road of the northern road going across the top of the screen in the attached image. The norhtern road is defined as secondary at both endpoints and the intersecting road is defined as primary at the previous intersection. At this intersection the northern road will need to be primary and the intersecting road secondary. I would prefer not to break up my alignments as you lose some of the dynamic nature by doing that and vertical curves can become an issue.
I am running Civil 3D 2013 64-bit.

I have been working in Civil 3D 2013 for about two weeks and everything was going smooth until I got a fatal error message while trying to rotate a basic rectangle. When I reloaded AutoCAD Civil 3D my command line displayed the following error message: "AutoCAD menu utilities loaded.; error: bad argument type: input-streamp: nil”. My drawing loaded normally but when I tried to draw a line using L+Enter I got a note saying “Command: L Unknown command "L". Press F1 for help.” Now none of my aliases work and when I go to Express -> Tools -> Command Alias Editor from the menu bar, I get the windows that are on the attatched screen shot. The PGP files wont work and importing aliases gives me the top right box on the attatched image. I have tried adding a Support File Search Path from the options menu and that too has failed.

Here is the background.
A "MODEL" drawing exists that contains only the surface model. The surface model is data referenced into a "LABEL" drawing that contains the surface style (contours), contour labels, and spot elevations. This "LABEL" drawing is xref-ed into a "SHEET" drawing that contains the title block and some other xrefs containing the proposed layout, ex cond, etc..
When I open the "LABELS" drawing, the data reference works. My problem is that when I open the "SHEET" drawing, the contour labels and spot elevations cannot find the referenced surface and just contain a string of 20 or so characters.
I already have a workaround. If I open the "SHEET" drawing, then open the "LABELS" drawing and save it, I can reload the "LABELS" drawing within the "SHEET" drawing and the problem is solved.
HOWEVER, I have a bunch of sheets that I want to publish, and publish does not work when you have to open the file and re-reference everything. Is there anyway to get this reference working correctly so that I do not have to open multiple drawings to get my data correct?
FYI, I have already tried resetting my data shortcuts project folder, validating data shortcuts, etc. in the "LABELS" and "SHEET" drawings.

I have centreline alginement and have used the offset alginemnt command to get other alignments for other surfaces (need these as they have all different crossfalls). Now as o go along I reference the veritical profile of the new alignement (created via offset) to my previous surface. Each time i do this the vertical profile does not seem to match my original profile of the centreline alignment. Now as i have about 6 offsets and as i move along these error seems to grow even bigger. how this is avoidable or if this is output is unavoidable

I am currently using ACAD Civil 3D 2014. When I am in paper space and try to plot I get a Fatal Error before I even get to the plot menu. This is only happening in 2 specific drawings and I've done a purge, audit and drawing recovery. With 8GB of Ram there should be more then enough to at least plot a 5MB drawing.

Sometimes 3D orbit works perfect, and sometimes it causes a fatal error before you even get started with it. I originally thought it was just large 3D objects causing it, but now I think it's just a 2014 issue...because I've had simple 3d surfaces (3d polyline with a surface) that have caused it to crash, yet have other larger surfaces that orbit without issue. I'm mostly using it to compare 3D polylines to surfaces, usually on as built alignments that we're working on.

I'm working in Civil 3D 2013 and am attempting to bring in notes and blocks from a .dwt, using DesignCenter. As soon as I drag a block into my current drawing I receive a fatal error message and Civil 3D closes. I do get the option to save a recover file.

tried the back up file ...no go
tried a back up file from 2 weeks prior, same result.
Have tried inserting as a block to a new drawing... same error.

We are having trouble with one of our C3D 2013 seats crashing (giving a fatal error) when trying to edit or do anything with a pipe network. The drawings work fine on other computers. I am trying to keep from having to remove and reinstall the software.

When you start move after hover on a grip point which created by GripDataCollection.Add(myGripData) in GetGripPoints(Entity entity, GripDataCollection grips, ...) appears Fatal Error: Unhandled e0434353h Exception at fdbebccdh.
I try Overrule GripPoints for Alignment. For FeatureLine it works.
Possible, the reason is that Alignment is AlignmentEntityCollection and different approach is required.

I am having an impossible time smoothing a surface created from feature lines in the attached file. I can smooth the service in parts except for the area that I’ve hatched – as soon as I try to smooth that area the drawing freezes or I get a fatal error. Ideally I’d like this surface to smooth to a 3x3 grid.
The things I’ve tried:
- Exploding the feature lines to 3d polys and recreating them as feature lines before adding them back to the surface.
- Copying the feature lines to a new drawing and creating a new surface
- Completely deleting the feature lines and manually re-drawing them from scratch before adding them to a new surface.
- Adding the feature lines with different supplemental distance and mid-ordinate distances (typically I do 2’ and 0.01’ respectively)
- Smoothing the surface in sections instead of one global smoothing of the entire surface (it always fails when I get to the hatched area)
- Smoothing the surface with different grid dimensions.
- Emailing the drawing to coworkers to see if they can create the surface and smooth it on their computers
- Combinations of all of the above.
