Jul 23, 2013I have problem in one outside drawing in my office. in layout there are many viewport but viewport border line not appear.
I make all layer ON and unfreeze and unlock also viewport border not shown. Is there any option.

May 13, 2013I have for a while been wanting some code that would run through all the layouts in a drawing and place a box in model space of where the viewports are looking and save a view and layerstate at the same time. I looked into doing it with .net and posted a query here but it all started to get a bit hard in .net.
So I did a bit more googling and found a lsp solution that get most of the way over on the swap here
It cycles thru the viewports and placed the box in model space to save the view and layer state I have to inject some more code into the rountine along the lines of
;; While we are here lets save a view with a layersnapshot
;;(command "_.View" "Save" "Nameoflayout" "_.View" "E" "l" "Nameoflayout" "s" "" "")
;; and as we can not access a view layersnapshot from layerstate manager lets save just a plain layerstate

to save the views and layerstates.

Basically, i want to draw a cable tray on pedestals which are arranged in a rectangular area. Now, I can draw bends so that the tray stay on pedestals but my question is how to draw the tray that is equidistant from both the corners of the pedestal? There are 6 pedestals arranged in a rectangular manner. All the pedestals are of equal length and width.

Jun 21, 2013I am trying to make a button such that if the user clicks it, AutoCAD will automatically draw a border that just includes all entities in the drawing.(Something) like the viewport border in the paper space)
Approach #1: The first approach could be zoom extent and draw a border around the zoomed view. how to zoom extent and draw a polyline, but can't figure out the exact size of zoomed view.
Approach #2 (optimal) : If the entity is a right circle and my AutoCAD window is not in square shape (for example, the AutoCAD window is maximized and my monitor is wide-screen monitor), Approach #1 will create redundant spaces at the right and left side of the circle entity. So if I could get the grid coordinate of far left, far right, top, and bottom entities, I can draw the optimal border around all entities in the drawing.

Feb 21, 2013i have a bunch of sheets set up, and you can see a white rectangle with a shadow that i guess represents my page, and then in this page there's a dashed rectangle that i'm guessing has something to do with margins or something. i would like to turn this dashed rectangle off, if possible.
secondly, my sheets are set up for 11x17.. i was given a title block drawing to use. the title block was drawn in modelspace at 11x17. i copied it into the sheet and it seems to be the right size. there's an 11x17 rectangle that the titleblock sits in, and i'd like to line this up with the actual page (to make sure the titleblock is in the right spot).. however i can't seem to snap to the corners of the white page with the shadow.

Dec 5, 2011I have a problem with a recently downloaded version of Inventor. When I start a new drawing all I get is a blank blue screen instead of one with a grid display. If I start a line I can see the cursor change to draw the line but a line does not appear. I don't know if it something with how I installed the program or just system settings.

2. So ya that one was easy.. hows bout when i want to cut something out ACCURATELY, the pen function, right? (according to a friend)when i make all those little boxes and select the area i want to cut, all that gets copied are the outer lines, which i presume is what ive just drawn.. how do i cut the area inside this?
3. and finally maybe a slightly less easy one- In Paint, when you cut out an object and paste it, you can select for the white of the image to become transparent so you can paste over what you have already.. is thee a feature in PS for this?

Feb 27, 2012Trying to create an insulation batting line (15 centimeters wide), in the model it looks okay (actually it goes a tiny little bit beyond the borders, but it is good enough for me at this stage). In the viewports however it is much wider (I would say, it is 10-15 times wider than expected).
