AutoCad :: Count The Points On Divided Line?
Nov 12, 2012Is there as easy way to count the points on a divided line? Example....making contour lines and need to interpolate the points between elevations.

I'm pathing right now pearl necklace with very diferent colors and some are almost transparent so i didn't know how to use any masking trick on it. So i'm pathing, pathing and pathing one more time. And after 1+ hour start to wondering is there any way to know how many path points i'd made?

View 4 Replies View RelatedIs there a way of reversing the start and end points of a line? I have a lot of mirrored lines on my model, and so the direction (start/end) is also mirrored. This poses a problem when i export the model to another program witch has a coordinate system based on the direction of the entity (in this case a line). So i come back to the question, is it possible to change(reverse) the start/end position to already drawn (mirrored) lines? Btw i am using acad2011
View 2 Replies View RelatedI draw a line then use divide command to put some points with equal distance in this line. some points will then are created on this line but when i move the line, the points do not move. I am wondering if these points can permanently stick to the line so that if i change the position of the line, the position of the points will also change.

View 4 Replies View Related1. When I do a re-import of my points my linework appears to double up (linework over linework).
2. In my description keys I use "rr" for rail road and "rrisg" for railroad signal (no * in code), linework comes in for both even though I only have it set up for "rr". I thought without the * in code this would not happen, but still does.
3. Finally, I use the "Survey Point Properties" window to make edits to points. All seems great, but when I got back into my drawing all my work was gone? Do I need to update the database some how with the changes? I was under the assumption that by doing it the way I do the changes are saved to the database. Is it better to do the edit on the Survey Tab by right clicking on the import event and selecting "Edit Points"?
I would like to make a block with 2 points and I would like them to follow a line with those 2 points..
Same as you can use the measure command to put blocks on a line with a pitch distance I would like to do the same but the block schould snap with 2 points on the line.
I am drawing a few feature lines within my surface and it is creating split points.....not even sure how they are created and how do I get rid of them....is there a way? I read a little about them and what I have read so far indicates that it is a point where two feature lines cross? I don't have another feature line created anywhere near this one.

I got the solution for dynamic multiple insertion points but the issue is the line is only visible after the end point is selected. But i want the line to be visible before selecting the end point, this should be as same as the line we use in autocad. Following is the code i used to create a line with multiple insertion points.

I know that I can find which points are which by checking the properties, but I am wondering if there is a way to (for example) edit the grips so that they indicate which end is which, like how they are used in dynamic blocks to show how an object can stretch. This isn't a problem that requires an imeediate fix, but would be nice if there were such an option.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhat I have is a highway that is being twinned, however the divided lanes are not consistantly the same distance away (or the same width of roadtop). I would like to keep the number of alignments to a minimum. Both lanes would be based off the same vertical profile. So I would like to have a single assembly that could adjust the median width in the center, and the lane width. Targetting the horizontal layout you can see in the attached screenshot. (this is not all of the job of course)
Is this a feasible task for the targetting assemblys? Would be a fairly standard 4:1 side slopes, adjustable ditch bottom width, 2% crowned road otherwise.
I'm trying to create a Dynamic Block of an 3/4" x 3/4" aluminium angle with holes:
Depending on the length the number of holes will vary.
The distance between each holes need to be somewhere between 8" and a maximum of 12".
The holes must be centered and start from 1 1/2" up to 2" from each ends.
Each distance must be not more precise then 1/16" (no rounded off dimensions)
I'd like to simply drag the handle of the linear parameters (No lookup or visibility for 2 hole, 3 holes, 4 holes etc.)
I have a an angular polyline (not horizontal or vertical). I want to equally divide the polyline with a specified length and get all separation co-ordinates at each interval. The line remains as polyline, I need to get only the co-ordinates of all the possible divisions for a given length.
I need a C#.Net function for this.
I need to place a circle, of a user-defined radius, as a marker at the endpoints of all lines in a drawing. how to accomplish this using lisp? It doesn't matter if they overlap; I can use OVERKILL to delete those objects.
I started the code with:
(defun c:cmark ()
(setq crad (getdist "
Specify radius: "))
)
But don't know how to cycle through the objects, determine the end points of lines only.
Why doesn't the drag state work when adding a line label between 2 points in Civil 3D 2013.

if there is a simple way of pushing multiple Polylines to meet a final line that I draw. For instance if there is a zigzagged line, and I drew a line through the middle of it (in a similar direction).
Is there a command or script that would push all of the points on the zig-zag to meet with the straight line I drew?
I want to create new vertex points in feature line and 3dpol.
I have this:

[Code]....
In this code line:
oFtrLn.InsertFeaturePoint(punt, AeccLandFeatureLinePointType.aeccLandFeatureLinePointPI);
always catches the same Exception "the value is not within the expected range" .I have translated it because I get "El valor no está dentro del intervalo esperado". Perhaps is this: " Value does not fall within the expected range.".
I have tried it with different point3d values but always catches Exception.
With pol3d I have similar problem.

I can probably create more points by averaging two adjacent y-points and two adjacent x-points but it would be much better if Autocad did this
the LIST command only gives the points i put in the program.

View 9 Replies View RelatedWe have a need to select a tangent line/polyline etc and then select two other points we would then like to have the program draw an arc through the two points and yet still be tangent to the initial line/polyline that we picked. We don't care what the radius is as we believe there is only one solution anyway. It would be wonderful if we could just use the Arc command and select start>Second Point> then just use the Tangent Osnap but I guess that is out of the question :-)
The only code that I have come across that even resembles this only allows for one point not two (STILL VERY HANDY AND VERY SLICK)

The starting point of the line should be from wherever the top sketch intersects the plane of the current sketch. There is no tooltip appearing that would allow me to quickly "attach" the starting line to the correct position. Is there such an aid, and how do i turn it on?
In order to create a swale, I created a feature line representing the bottom of the swale and graded up to an existing surface around its outer perimeter. The slope pattern looks ok when it initially generates the grading. I need to grip and drag certain points along the feature line in order to bring the top of slope lines of the swale close to the bottom of slope lines of an adjacent berm. As soon as I grip and drag the feature line, the slope pattern lines go awry. Instead of a short line then a long line, then short line, etc., the lines are all the same length. It actually appears as if short and long lines are overlapping each other.
