View 4 Replies View RelatedI wrote some code in VB .NET 2010 getting started from Kean Walmsley project to create a new layer. I did it working directly from code and not using a command line as he did.

The problem is that the same code works if I call it directly inside the application code, but doesn't if I throw it from a push button.
I get the eLockViolation error code.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am wanting to display previews (pngs) of the ai files in the plugin that match search criteria on a button. As the user scrolls through the results, change the button picture to be the png for that ai file. I tested it with a default image in case the image doesn't exist. The test image is cropped to the size of the button.
The pngs are necessarily 600x600 pix. (For other applications). I want to resize them for display on the button.
(The button is only 100x100).

Why is there no dynamic block for the Imperial Hex Nut in the tool palettes?
Can I copy the Metric and convert it to become Imperial?
Where do I change Metric to Imperial in this dynamic block?
I received a .dwg file from S. Korea with dimensions and units all in the metric mm and I need the units to be in feet and inches. Is there a command to switch dimensions and units to imperial feet and inches?
Rather than changing units in command UNITS Inches and Architectural, and SCALE 25.4, is there any other way to switch metric to imperial systems. Scaling somewhat does the trick but, provided dimensions remain in mm.
I need converting imperial dimensions into metric in assembly as weell as part level sketches dimensions.
Any solution for converting all imperial dimensions to metric dimensions in whole assembly constraint level and as well as part level sketch dimensions. Any macros or any ilogic rules?
We have just recently updated our templates to use a new TTF font. We are a multi national office, and are running various machines in both Australia and China. We are all using windows 7. Autocad are all full versions but vary between 2010 and 2012.
We are trying to convert survey drawings from a standard font to the ttf, but for some reason, in the Chinese office only the decimal points disappear after the conversion. The same drawing when sent to the Australian office works fine and the decimal points are there. What to try here, as I am in Australia and can't even reproduce the issue the chinese office is having.
I am trying to convert a standard iPart to an iLogic based part. The part has some text driven, cells..PatNumber, Description..ect..But when I try to referance those cells the iLogic code either does nothing or errors out.
Basicly i have a bunch of flange rings with have several variables theat need to change as the part number changes, sounds simple right?I have rewritten the code so many times...I have gone from hunt and pecking to typing 300 words a min...well maybe not.
About 75-80% of all our parts are identical in shape but just get smaller or larger depending on what size portable auger it goes on.I have been trying to get the part to changed based on "PartNumber" but it has text in the value.

I have installed Building Design Suite Premium 2012 and i can´t find the metric libraries or metric templates for any of the 3 revits.
Any of you know how to do it???
In previous releases (2009 i think) when i converted a standard part to a sheet metal part i could recall all the sheet metal styles by linking back to the sheet metal template (i can't remember exactly how this was done, but it was possible with one operation)
In 2011 i canot find a quick way of doing this, it looks like i have to open the sheet metal template and export each different style (about 40 of them) and then import each one into the converted part. am i missing something? is there a simpler way similar to how it used to be done? Why have Autodesk made this more difficult?
As it stands at the moment it would be quicker for me to remodel the parts from scratch using the sheet metal template. I know this is the obvious solution, but seems strange to change something that worked well to something that doesn't!
I was making and editing a gif, following all the steps from a tutorial, and one of them is about how to "sharpen" the screencaps without sharpening every single one of the frames and layers. It seems that all the photoshop versions have on their animation window, this button
But I don't have it. This how it looks my photoshop:
I use to have before I dowloaded the english version of cs6, the spanish version, and it doesn't have that button either (I think) The question is, is there a problem with my version of cs6?

View 2 Replies View RelatedTo convert from imperial to metric multiply the length, in inches, by 25.4 (the number of millimeters per inch).
Example: 3 inches converted to millimeters is 3*25.4 or 76.2mm.
To convert from metric to imperial multiply the length, in millimeters, by 0.03937 (the number of inches in a millimeter). For greater accuracy use 0.03937008.
Example: 100 millimeters converted to inches is 100*0.03937 or 3.937 inches.
Why would I want to select a Profile like Camera Standard instead of Adobe Standard?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have just recently upgraded to 2013.I have one color in particular that use dto be grey - now it is red. I have repaired the appearance so it looks correct in a part. I was able to save this backto the library, overwriting the original. This is all good. I am unable to find out how to push this updated appearance to all parts in an assembly. I used to be able to do this with the update styles tool.
View 1 Replies View Relatedif there is a simple way of pushing multiple Polylines to meet a final line that I draw. For instance if there is a zigzagged line, and I drew a line through the middle of it (in a similar direction).
Is there a command or script that would push all of the points on the zig-zag to meet with the straight line I drew?
I know you can "pull" styles from a drawing (maybe the template) into your current drawing.
Is there a way to "push" them from the current drawing to another on?
Here is what I am picturing:
Right click on a style on the settings tab and choose "Send to Template"
"Template" would either be a predefined DWT file or it would open a standard file selection dialog to select one.....and this would copy the selected style into the template.
Just converted from 14LT to 2014LT. In 14LT, when drawing a shape, say 4' by 5', I used to be able to draw the first two lines, 4' and 5' and then simply push the up arrow to retrieve the last two entries at the command line. When I do that now, it gives me some sort of dimensional coordinates.
Also, same subject, different useage, when drawing from points to points, I used to be able to draw a line from a point to a snap point such as intersection and then simply push the up arrow to retrieve that command to the command line over and over depending on a snap by snap basis. Again, it just gives me the dimensional coordinates.
I need to design a 'stencil' of sorts - but it just needs to be an array of circles separated by a constant distance. its an array of 200 micron diameter circles separated by a distance of 500 microns each (between centers). Its super easy to make this array, but when I try to 'pull' it into the third dimension, or extrude the array, I get an 'invalid' error. Or the highlighted objects just get 'unhighlighted' (for the lack of a better word) once i hit enter after selecting them all. Also, I made the entire array into a 'block' of easiness.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am growing increasinly frustrated. I just installed AutoCAD LT 2013 on my laptop. I managed to get everything customized the way I want, except the button icons on my (classic) toolbar are much too small. If I go into the menu and select 'use large icons', they are too huge. My screen resolution DOES NOT need to be changed or adjusted. I went to the help menu to see what I can do, and found that I can go into CUI and adjust the size of the button icons that way, via the button image editor, however there is no 'button image editor' dialog box when I select any given toolbar command.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having some problems with drawing paths in Illustrator. Everytime I draw a new path, this new path shows up in the standard settings. The 'brush defenition' turns back to 'basic' and the 'variable width profile' back to 'uniform'. It would save me a lot of time if I could change those standard settings into what I prefer.
