Oct 22, 2013I am using x refs to insert logo and some images.
When I exit the drawing and reopen, all the images are gone?

AutoCAD Architecture :: Unusual Results When Binding Xrefs Using Insert Method
Aug 3, 2011Using ACA 2012 and Windows 7 Pro x64. I have a drawing with two viewports. In one I'm showing the electrical layers and the base floor plan. In the other I'm showing casework and the base floor plan. All of the layers are contained in one xref so some are frozen in each viewport. When I bind that xref using the insert method (bindtype=1) some of the electrical layers show in the casework plan. I've tried everything I know of but I can't figure out how to surpress this behavior. If I use bindtype=0 the problem goes away but I end up with ugly layer names.

Mar 7, 2011We face a serious problem: when we insert jpg-images by reading their associated jgw world file the images are positioned in a different way (starting point, rotation) then when we do this by using ArcGIS or GDAL-software. We use RasterDesign 2011 on Acad Map 3D 2011.

Is it possible that AcadMap/rasterDesign handles a jgw-file different when it is made by other software (you would assume standardization)?

AutoCad :: Unable To Insert Images
Oct 23, 2012I am using AutoCAD CIvil 3D 2011. Just recently, I am unable to insert images. Whether I use the insert command from the menu or type in the command, the program freezes at that point until I hit escape. Now I can't work! Image manager works and insert block works. Is there a different command I can try for inserting a raster image?
I haven't made any changes to my computer, no upgrades since the last time the command worked (that I can remember) - I tried a system restore but that didn't work.

May 4, 2006Someone sent me a logo a .gif. It wont drag into another image. I made it a PSD, same thing. so I was able to select it and copy it over, but I've never see something that would not drag into another document.

(1) Import the blocks to the current drawing, if the blocks have already been imported, then do nothing.
(2) Specify the insert point by clicking the mouse, and I want the block's insert point to coincide with the mouse clicking point.

Aug 2, 2013I am trying to insert OS Tiles into a drawing using the insert x-ref command. I have managed to insert 192 tiles but still need to add 29 more tiles to complete. When I try to insert another x reference AutoCAD just goes into a continual loop. Have to force AutoCAD to crash after ten minutes.
I am using AutoCAD 2014 MAP and have just had a new system built (i5 processor, 8GB RAM).
Photoshop :: Netscape Logo Replaces PS Logo
Jun 10, 2008when I browse image files I find that the Photoshop/Adobe logo has been replaced by the Netscape logo. When I attach a file in email the N-scape logo is there by file name/number not Photoshop logo. Anyone know why or have this issue?

AutoCAD .NET :: How To Add Xrefs To Drawing
May 21, 2012I am having an issue with adding xrefs to drawings. The way I have this setup is the user inputs information and the number of sheets. This then sets up a sheet set with the information and then for each value for the number of sheets the user gets a dialog askign for a number, name, and description for that sheet.
so if the user puts in 5 as the number of sheets, the user gets that dialog 5 times.
also I have a dialog that asks the user if they are adding xrefs to the sheets, if they answer yes then it adds the xrefs to each sheet that is created (this is where I have an issue).
This works perfect for the first sheet that is added, how ever after you fill in the information and submit for the second sheet autocad gives a fatal exception error and closes. not sure if I am missing on turning something off, closing, or stoping something before the next sheet is created.

AutoCAD LT :: XRefs Cause Lag In Object Selection
May 22, 2012I am working on a drawings with nested xrefs and am experiencing major delays when selecting objects using crossing windows. It is as if the computer thinks I am selelecting the xref even though the curser doesn't touch any visible exref entities. Basically, I click to start the window and the curser freezes for 10 to 20 seconds. I am experiencing the same problem with other commands (intermittenly) such as move, line, and offset. The exrefs are on a separate locked layer and have been moved to the back of the drawing.

Oct 15, 2013I am working on a rather big xref setup. The MAIN file has got about 10 OVERVIEW files refferenced in, each of the OVERVIEW files got another 15-20 DRAWING files attached.
Now when i attach OVERVIEW to MAIN it brings in all the DRAWINGS as unique xrefs as well.
Of course i want to see the DRAWNIGS in the MAIN file, but I'd prefer not to see them in the xref-manger (where i want to see only the OVERVIEW files).
An additional problem is that the DRAWINGS contain pictures on layout-tabs which are also shown in the MAIN file xref manager.
So long story short: is there a possibility to "hide" the sub-xrefs in the xref-manager?

Dec 9, 2013I've got the second floor of a building which is an attic, which is over 2 different levels, each of which has its own xref. The roof is sloped. I would like to vary the cut plane in the same view, so that both xrefs are respectively cut at 1500mm above floor level. This would mean using 2 different cut planes, one for each reference.

Here is our setup.
AutoCAD 13 on Windows 7 with Adobe PDF or DWG to PDF
We have an xref'ed drawing of a background. We xref it on Layer XXX_BKGRD with a color of yellow and a Plot Style of Background.
In our STB file we have style named Background set to plot Black. We have Plot object lineweights and plot with plot styles selected. The VP is set to Legacy Hidden.
When we do a plot preview, its all color. No change.
