AutoCad :: Text Not Converting Between 2004 And Mega Cad 4.8

I am doing some tooling drawings for my company. I am using AutoCad LT 2008. When I email my drawings, I have to convert them to Autocad 2004 so the tooling company can open the drawings. They then convert it to Mega Cad 4.8 to import it into their system. My problem is that any text in my drawings does not show up for them in either programs. I have tried several different fonts, but nothing works. This is causing time consuming problems for both of us.

I'm using autocad LT 2010 and need to send the drawings to someone using autocad 2004, how do i save the drawing so they can open and print with 2004. i was told that theres an option under save as but its not coming up on my version.

when entering text, mega spaces seem to be a default between lines of text. Changing the leading does nothing to correct this. Thinking that my software became corrupted, I deactivated and reinstalled. But the problem persists. If I type the text into Word, cut and paste into PSE10, the problem continues.

I need to make a 30 second long zoom in Z space and I'm using a 3D camera for that. I've separated the dimension on the positioning of the camera so I could use only the 'Z position' to make the zoom.
I'm starting the Z positioning from 0 until -700000 (I know, It's kinda far!) But I've noticed that my images (which I've placed in 3D space so they pass the camera in Z space) are getting slower and slower because of the far zoom I quess?
How closer I get to the number -700000 how slower the camera movement is going.

I have 2 hd`s one 160gb and one 15gb. my 15gb is down to just 98mb again. last week I cleard space for an extra 3gb and just a week later its down to 98mb again! Is windows saving files without me knowing? I only save work on my 160gb.

While working on a drawing today I realized that when I modified dimension styles ... arrow size, text size, spacing, etc. , upon closing the modify style window the changes I'd made automatically took effect on the screen. In other words I did not have to use the dimension update command to make the changes appear in dimensions already in the drawing. All the dimensions changed to show the changes automatically. I'm pretty sure I haven't seen this before.
I went to another drawing and the updates did not automatically occur. I inserted part of the old drawing into the current drawing and made dimension style changes again. The changes updated automatically in the new content but not on the content inserted from the old drawing.

When I enter the Hatch command I get the following message.
Command: h
HATCH
Enter a pattern name or [?/Solid/User defined] <ANSI31>: *Cancel*
Then the program closest by itself.

I work for a very large Electrical company in Toronto and we are having problems with one of our major clients (happens to be one of the biggest design construction companies in Toronto).
They designed the job with Microstation and the contractor and sub trades on site all use Autocad. However we have to edit all the original drawings from the designer with Autocad to do the as built drawings and then transfer them back into DGN for the submittals.
However despite all our efforts every time we transfer them in Autocad the text alignment is off. including the dimensions which for what ever reason show up upside down?
Now we are talking about thousands of drawings here so any easy way to convert files from dgn to dwg and have it work out perfectly.

I have 106 files that I have to save as version 2004 for a contractor. They have been able to open all of the converted files except one. I have run an audit and found nothing. I have purged everything and still no luck.

I have a surveyor requesting that we convert our Autocad 2012 Civil 3D files to Autocad 2004 so they can use them to produce as-built drawings. Is that possible? The drawings include profiles and cross sections.

When I right click on a viewport I no longer get the menu that includes the lock/unlock choice, or anything else. I can select the viewport but I have no control over it. Also when I select objects the layer information is not displayed. Until today I did not have this problem. I'm thinking it might be a settings issue, because if I open this file up on another computer I can control viewport as usual. The only think I can think of that I may have done different is I was experimenting with rotation of view ports.

How to make my own toolbar buttons for ACAD 2004 yet am having trouble figuring out what I would write as the macro command for the operation in the button creation dialog box for a specific operation.
There will be 3 buttons. One for .XX, one .XXX, one .XXXX precision edit of an existing dimension. IOW, if I have a 2 place precision dimension and wish it to be 4 place, I'll click the '.XXXX button' then click the dimension and it will change to 4 place. In addition, I'd like for it to update immediately for multiple dimension picks if possible just like 'match properties'.

I run Autodesk Land Desktop 2004 on Vista, it works, kind of.
I get this error message when I open the program: "Error writing the acamap.sys file"
When I say OK to the message, the program starts working.
At the end when i close the program i get this message: " Autocad application has stopped working"
The next message after this is: " Download updates for 2004"
Any way to avoid these annoying messages?

We are now running AutoCAD 2012 on our network. We had a third party come in a long time ago and write us a custom macro that generates specsheets for our product. The problem is it was written for AutoCAD 2004.
Any way to move that code from 2004 to 2012 somewhat easily. If not easily, at least tell me that it is possible without having to rewrite the entire macro.

how to get AutoCad 2004 to snap to an IsoCircle tangent correctly without having to do it twice? Hope I've explained that correctly. If I try to join two IsoCircles with a line AutoCad doesn't pick the correct tangent straight away, but if you carry on and create the line anyway, then delete it and create it again it works.

I created a legend in the Block Editor which obviously requires text. I inputted the block into paper space because it's easier to input it into paper space for location purposes on the drawing.
Everything was fine, but when I went to plot it (by converting it from .dwg to .pdf), the pdf showed the text plotting vertically (down to up) instead of horizontally (left to right). I've checked the properties of the text, nothing is glaringly wrong, and since it only appears after being plotted to .pdf, I'm not really sure what the problem is.
Are there restrictions to adding blocks to paper space that I'm unaware of?

I've tried what seems to be every version of EXPORT (as .ai and .eps) and EXPORT TO ILLUSTRATOR PATHS and then taking PS text and CONVERTING TO OUTLINE and then EXPORTING PATHS, but I just can't get the text from PS to Flash. I do have Illustrator CS if it needs to roundtrip there.

I wrote this little piece of code (attached) that explode all the blocks in the current drawing.This is magical, compared with what we had to do in VBA.
This works perfectly but now I want to go deeper and managed blockreferences with attributes.Based on my code, I can determine if oBTR.HasAttributeDefinitions is true or false.
If the blockreference has attributes, I suppose I will have to use Explode instead of ExplodeToOwnerSpace.
My first question is, using explode, I need before to know in which space the blockreference is inserted (Model or any layout) so to insert the exploded entities correctly. So, is it possible from a blockreference to get its own SpaceId?
An another idea I had is to edit the blockreference (not the block definition) to replace attributes with text...

I lost my dimension text on all my drawings when I converted with Windows 7. I did reload the 2010 software from scratch. I am thinking it is some type of .dll file issue or font issue.
