I've tried what seems to be every version of EXPORT (as .ai and .eps) and EXPORT TO ILLUSTRATOR PATHS and then taking PS text and CONVERTING TO OUTLINE and then EXPORTING PATHS, but I just can't get the text from PS to Flash. I do have Illustrator CS if it needs to roundtrip there.

A sample of the text is below. Should I use the pen tool for this? Or some other tool? I would be glad if you could point me in the right direction. As you can see, the document's blurry so I can't just use a marquee.
What is the best format to export to when text is included in the img to maximally reduce blurring?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm very new to Photoshop, and I was wondering if you can convert text to curves, so I can lose those pixelated edges when I enlarge the text for print. On my JASC photoshop program, I can simply select "Convert text to curves" from a pull-down menu. I remembered that I had Photoshop 5 on my old computer, and I like using it better, but I can't find this option. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I just don't see it anywhere.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI work for a very large Electrical company in Toronto and we are having problems with one of our major clients (happens to be one of the biggest design construction companies in Toronto).
They designed the job with Microstation and the contractor and sub trades on site all use Autocad. However we have to edit all the original drawings from the designer with Autocad to do the as built drawings and then transfer them back into DGN for the submittals.
However despite all our efforts every time we transfer them in Autocad the text alignment is off. including the dimensions which for what ever reason show up upside down?
Now we are talking about thousands of drawings here so any easy way to convert files from dgn to dwg and have it work out perfectly.
Whether it is possible to convert text into lines.
I need the text to be part of the surface for when being fabricated.

When I email my drawings, I have to convert them to Autocad 2004 so the tooling company can open the drawings. They then convert it to Mega Cad 4.8 to import it into their system. My problem is that any text in my drawings does not show up for them in either programs. I have tried several different fonts, but nothing works. This is causing time consuming problems for both of us.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI created a legend in the Block Editor which obviously requires text. I inputted the block into paper space because it's easier to input it into paper space for location purposes on the drawing.
Everything was fine, but when I went to plot it (by converting it from .dwg to .pdf), the pdf showed the text plotting vertically (down to up) instead of horizontally (left to right). I've checked the properties of the text, nothing is glaringly wrong, and since it only appears after being plotted to .pdf, I'm not really sure what the problem is.
Are there restrictions to adding blocks to paper space that I'm unaware of?
Why do blocks appears behind text when converting to outlines? This only effects some text, even though the font and character attributes are the same.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI wrote this little piece of code (attached) that explode all the blocks in the current drawing.This is magical, compared with what we had to do in VBA.
This works perfectly but now I want to go deeper and managed blockreferences with attributes.Based on my code, I can determine if oBTR.HasAttributeDefinitions is true or false.
If the blockreference has attributes, I suppose I will have to use Explode instead of ExplodeToOwnerSpace.
My first question is, using explode, I need before to know in which space the blockreference is inserted (Model or any layout) so to insert the exploded entities correctly. So, is it possible from a blockreference to get its own SpaceId?
An another idea I had is to edit the blockreference (not the block definition) to replace attributes with text...
I lost my dimension text on all my drawings when I converted with Windows 7. I did reload the 2010 software from scratch. I am thinking it is some type of .dll file issue or font issue.

trying to copy txt from an outside text editor and pasting them into an open, editable text layer in my workspace. The problem is that I can COPY the text fine, but when I click over to PS to paste it into the open editable text layer it either pastes the previous text from my clipboard OR it won't paste anything at all. I can then go into any other text field on a browser, spreadsheet document, a different text editor, notepad, etc and successfully paste the proper batch of text I wanted to paste into PS. Sometimes I have some rather large files open 50+megs when I notice this happen. I have to save my work and close out entirely of PS and then open it again before I can begin editing my original document again and successfully paste the text into the open editable text layer. This may last for a few COPY/PASTE sessions of additional text in additional text layers, but then begins displaying the symptoms I described above.
I am on Win7 on an AlienWare M17XR3 laptop with 16G RAM and AMD Radeon HD 6900M Series display adapter.I assume it's either in my PS performance settings which I have PS using 10413MB RAM and has over 350G scratch disk space. If it's not that I guess my laptop system performance settings which I've never tinkered with since I purchased it.

Simple question:
am trying to edit a text layer but i am unable to open the text box to change text.
It creates a new text layer everytime i click on the layer.
I need to take a word, and edit each letter individually. This includes changing shape, color, and slanting and twisting a letter. I want the "i" to be one color, and the dot over the "i" to be another color.
In my old drawing program, I converted the text to curves, then ungrouped the set of letters. I can't seem to be able to do this in Corel. Once converted to curves, when I select the text, the option to ungroup is greyed out.
i am posting this only after doing fruitless research online.
I used to be able to copy text from an email and a word document into Corel Draw 13 and easily convert it to artisitc text. Now it does not allow that.

The end goal is to get the parts laser cut but have the part number etched into the part.Is there a way to convert text (i.e. 12345) to a sketched symbol that the punch feature would recognize and then add it to the library? Right now we are using 2012 but will be upgraded to 2014 within the next 6 months.

I am able to do it line by line with ddedit /copy but what a hassel.
For some reason I am having issues converting a CDR file to PDF which contains objects/text with fountain fills.
I have looked at some previous posts detailing the same problem, have followed their remedies, i.e. "render complex fills as bitmaps" in the advanced tab in the PDF conversion pane. Despite these best efforts I am still having the problem of my black background; fixed in the "page layout" tab being corrupted, resulting in the background being the fountain fill once converted.
Any way to convert all of the single line text in exisitng drawings to multiline text without having to do them individually in Civil3d.

The text cursor disappears when I try to enter it into the rectangle and when I place it on the edge of the rectangle, it rurns into a slanted "A" and allows texting on the border of the rectangle. Corel Paint Shop Photo Pro X3 (build date Sept 7, 2010). This software came with my new HP Pavilion dv7.
