AutoCad :: Simple Tool To Georectify Cad Library?

I've taken on a task of merging a large collection of facilities drawn in CAD (from autocad 2006) and GIS data through the use of orthorectified imagery. each facility collection is comprised of dozens of individual dxf files aligned to each other, but based off an arbitrary coordinate space. I need to transfer the dxfs to their true lat/lon.
I can easily rubber sheet the dxfs onto the geo image in a tool like ArcGIS. What do i need to accomplish this task in the AutoCad arena? AutoCad Map?
This georectification process is the ONLY process needed in the task. It seems like quite a waste to purchase a large tool set when all i need is one tool. Is there an alternative application that will allow this simple process? possibly creating a world file and .prj for every dxf in a directory?

I need to export from 3d studio max 2013 some simple models in .3ds format with a simple material library such as a simple red, blu, yellow materials colors.
but I see that when I export from 3d studio max 2013 the models with the colors assigned to the model, when I reopen the .3ds file the model, appears all grey without the library and the colours.
I downloaded some model from internet in .3ds format that contains a simple colors material library (no texture) that is embedded in the .3ds file.
Is there a solution to export a simple model painted with some colours from a library?
(I don't need an external material with texture library such as .mat file)
I need this tip because when I import this models with Relux I need to mantein some colours.

I have to do something in school where I have to make simple objects like laptops, speakers etc. These objects must be kept really simple, so no high detail or anything and they can't have a black outline around them.
What I wanted to know is, which tool can I create these simple objects with? They have to look smooth, they must have round edges and there cannot be an outline around them.

On screen this show when doing a simple layer mask fade with the gradient tool. (notice the hard transition in the black) The if I flatten it it looks fine, like this.
I don't understand why all of a sudden it is doing this, same with brushes. Just seems to happen in the layer mask which is really deceiving.

I have adobe CS5 and when I opened my software today, I discovered my swatches were gone from my tool bar. They are not entirely gone because I can get to them from my swatch libraries, however, I cannot drag and drop these swatches into my toolbar in order to click on them. I am trying to use the pen tool to draw a simple shape and the only swatches that come up is the none option (the white box with the red line going through it) and the registration, which I admitadly don't know much about.
I am using a Mac. I cannot figure out how to draw my shapes without a fill and using a black outline.

Illustrator keeps freezing when applying an effect such as texture-grain to a simple gradient, or even rasterizing a simple black circle. My system is about a 6month old macbook pro with 16gb ram, i7 and AMD Radeon HD 6770M 1024 MB. What could be causing this? It wasn't like this when i first started using the laptop but has started to do it everytime i try and do any of those simple tasks recently.

My problem is, that photos are shown different in color between libary and development tool in Lightroom 3.6. The libary shows corrected color in photos, the development tool not.When I switch between libary and development tool sometimes, the development tool shows then the same colors.

I have a project in wich rooms functionality is compromised. I don't know why the room tool doesn't recognise a simple room delimited by walls whose property divides rooms is set to yes. If I place a rectangle of rooms delimiters the room tool works properly instead. If I start a new project the tool works properly.

I was editing phots when I suddenly realized that sharpening tool, neither the adjustment brush for sharpening or ordinary sharpening, would be shown in Library mode or when photos were exported. When I see the picture in Develop mode, they seem fine and I can adjust the sharpness as usual. So something goes wrong between Develop and Library mode.
I have Lightroom 4.4. The ISO level in the pictures are not high at all, so that is not the problem, as I have read some explanaitions of. When I see the picture in 1:1 in both modes, they look the same after sharpening. But if I zoom more, I can definately see big differences.

I port my autolisp routines to NET.A simple autolisp routine changes the UCS to another one.The change needs no regeneration and is immediate.But in NET i have to use "UpdateTiledViewportsFromDatabase".When the dwg is loaded with lots of objects it takes quite a lot of time to regen.Is there a way to have an immediate change using NET just like when using autolisp command?Also why autolisp needs no regen?

I would like to open discussion about function that could easilly convert Civil 3D drawing with its all corridors, grading groups, feature lines etc. to regular AutoCAD 2D drawing to be able to hatch, measure, trim and so on. Is it clear, that corridor edit commands and features are not good enough to add another structures as stairs, culverts, parking lots with green islands and another civil structures...
Export to AutoCAD or AEC Explode converts drawing to some 2D/3D exploded hybrid, where it takes hours of editing, flatting and joining lines to make graphically correct and usable 2D drawing. And what worse, when the design is changed, user has to start from scratch again and again, which is not twice effective... And it is just directly against all Autodesk marketing phrases how to work smarter using BIMs.

I've never used AutoCAD before but I'm trying to generate a sphere with triangular meshing. I'd like for the sphere to be centered relative to the coordinate axis. I'd also like to know the simplest way to export the data such that I can go in and process the coordinates, faces, and what not without too much trouble.

When I generating contour(surface) using Civil 3D it gives very complicated contours.Some times those contours cuts each other and have very strange shape.
I used to use SURFER software to generate contours.It gives simple contours.But I like to use Civil 3D because.
I attached SURFER contours and Civil 3D contours. I also attached AutoCAD file those who using older versing of Civil 3D.
I know how to smooth contours in Civil 3D but it does not solve my problem. You may say "You should use commands like swap edge,delete line .

I have a beam that is simply supported and I am needing to do FEA analysis on it. Simply supported on the ends with a load in the middle. Hand calculations show deflection is 2.256in. FEA shows delfection as 1.247in.
I think the problem is the constraints that I have placed on it. I have one fixed constraints at each end. One of these needs to be fixed and the other needs to be able to move horizontally. How do I set this up to get the correct results?

I have downloaded Inventor 14, and the program appears to start up without problems. However, when i create a simple sketch, it first says "Choose a plane". In my textbook, it shows a picture of the three planes to choose from. However, my computer screen shows a blank gray screen. It appears some tool bars are missing as well.
However, if i click in the space where I imagine the axis should be, it takes me into sketch mode. Similarly, when I draw a line, the information bar reads like I am drawing a line, but no line shows up on the screen.
Is there a specific requirement on my computer I could be missing? I have downloaded Inventor twice, and both times had the same problem with the program. Perhaps a video card I need to have, or a certain RAM requirement?

how do I use Civil 3D to do basic pipe analysis computations? For example, I give it the slope, material, etc. and it spits out the flow velocity, flow depth, slope min, etc.
All I want for now is a basic tool for sizing pipes without all the bells, loops & whistles. I can learn the fancy pipe networking stuff later.

I'm trying to convert an existing VBA routine to a vb.Net dll. One of the functions is inserting and scaling an existing tif image file into a blank AutoCAD 2010 drawing. I've searched and found just a few examples, but they all seem horrifically complicated . Am I missing the simple way of doing this, or is this an example of the seemingly massive learning curve of .Net that is beginning to remind me of my collegiate C class (shudder)?

I have an assembly that I have created a sketch on and applied some dimensions. I would like to send those properties to an excel file that can then be inserted into an idw. What is the best way to get the parameter values into an excel file that would update as the model changes? I found were more focused on changing the model with the excel sheet which is not what I'm trying to do. I did try them however, but whether I clicked link or embed nothing appeared in the excel file at all.

I need to export a .SHP file containing some polygons to a GIS user so he can lay the shapes in a GIS map. The data he needs from me is the outlines of several wetlands I've designed in C3D 2010. There isn't any elevation data associated with the outlines. They are just traced waterlines from each pool set into a layer called "permanent pools." He wants these to show location in a GIS plan.
When I try to MAPEXPORT, and then selct each of my 10 pool outlines, it says "no object selected" in the command line.

We are implementing a new ERP system and we've programmed the configurator in it to build a price for us. We'd like to create a simple 2D drawing for us in AutoCAD based on some of the data from the configurator automatically. Is it possible using AutoCAD LT 2013 or do you need the full version to build something like this? Also, does this sound like it would require a lot of programming in CAD?

How can I take simple measurements from the pipes on the image? Diameter, radius of bends etc? I realize I can export the pipe into Inventor and do it that way but I would rather learn how this is done in CAD.

I have just been trying the stretch command. I have never used this before today so thought it might be good to learn a bit more.I have managed to stretch items ok but not accurately. I tried to stretch a simple rectangle 200mm to the right. I hit the stretch command and make my selection, hit enter then type in 200mm enter, and it goes right off the screen. If I drag the rectangle it's fine but not accurate.

I would like to know if there is a way / setting that I can turn of to where can do simple math problems when inputing numbers say for like offsetting a line without having to use AutoLisp.
For example if I was to offset a line I would type in "5.75/2" and get 2.875. I would like to be able to do this without having to type ( / 5.75 2).
Is there a way to do this without having to type all of that.
I am using AutoCad 2014, and at work we design driveline equipment so a lot of the drawings are from a front view to a section view, and for like a round cover that is in the front view it is easy to offset the centerline in the section view by the radius and continue drawing the section view.

I would like simulate this action or model this simple action I have in this sketch. It is pretty basic but I am drawing a blank on how I could see the max movement I can get with a 6" cylinder stroke.
Maybe more difficult than I am capable of, I could model it but don't know how to get it to move or rotate that would simulate the movement.
