I have a roland dx1100 plotter which I use for practicing plotting in autocad lt 2000i. I need to find a driver that will run in window 7. I found one from Roland that will run in windows xp.
View 2 RepliesI have recently installed a computer system and the Plotter the client is using is a Canon W7200; Canon have refused to release any updated drivers and there were never any previous 64bit drivers that were created for this piece of hardware.
Are there any Universal Plotting Drivers? or a Generic one that can be used with all Canon Plotters?
I am running AutoCad 2000 and using the plot-to-file option to create a file for use with a basic home workshop CAM system. This CAM system has been designed to run with data created using the Hewlett Packard plotter driver HP7470 but unfortuneately my version of AutoCad 2000 does not list this driver as an option under the Plotter Manager/Add a Driver tab. how I can go about finding and downloading a copy of driver HP7470 in order that it may be added to the list of options in the Add a Driver list?
I have tried using some of the alternative drivers listed in but all appear to give inaccurate or spurious results.
Configuring plotter/printer on newly upgraded laptop using Autocad LT 2007 with Win7. The printers that are re-installed are not available under that program.

View 9 Replies View RelatedThis only happens when PS CS6 (x64) is opened (fresh). If I create a blank doc, I get a top left "blank" rectangle. If I start up CS6 and select a file to open, I get the same blank square. After this, if I open or create a new doc, the files look fine. If I zoom into the blank space, it will eventually draw in properly. This is on any file I open. The files are intact.This is on Win 7 x64, Updated CS6 x64.

When I go to the settings in PS, it tells me that there is a problem with my display driver so I cannot use GPU graphics processing. I would really like these features to be available to me, especially since my GPU meets the recommendations by Adobe. I installed the latest driver from AMD.

I want to do use publisher and make mulitple page pdf's and as I understand it I have to use the built-in plotter to do it. As of right now I have to sperate pages with adobe and then combie them to make a single pdf.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWe are very, very new to the cutting of a corel design with my roland. I have letters that consist of a block letter with an 8 pt black outline as the back layer with a block letter and a 4 pt white outline as the top layer, making the shadow effect.
I convert curves and add my contour cut line, but it keeps appearing INSIDE the black outline and cuts the black out. The image cuts out fine and the one color part of the letter does, but the black and white outline shadows are cut out.
I've tried boundary and contouring every way I can figure. Obviously there is a setting/trick I don't know.
I use CDR X4 and a Roland VS printer with versaworks as my RIP. In Corel, I have my color palette set up to the right as RVW but when I go to use gradients or fills, the color options are Corel. I end up having to edit the color palette to RVW every time. Is there a way to change this setting so when I go to use fills etc., RVW color palette is first to appear ?

View 10 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded my setup and my printer hasn't been able to print a nice true black ever since. My printer is a Roland SP 300 V and I use Versaworks. I upgraded to CorelDRAW x5 from version 11. When I send an eps file to Versaworks the printer prints a dark gray on RGB black and various greens for Pantone blacks. I printed a default test chart directly in Versaworks and the 100% K printed great. I pulled an older file out which was exported using Corel 11 and the black prints fine. I don't know if I'm doing something obvious wrong or what but x5 has a whole more check boxes and options when exporting an eps file and I'm starting to get lost.

I have a new macbook and no printer. Id like to set up my print settings to plot to pdf and choose the correct paper sizes and utilize my line type print settings. I am using auto cad 2013 and see i can create a pdf but it doesn't allow my set my plotter up as a pdf.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo we have a new plotter at work, and I am trying to use it with the publish command. However, because all of our old drawings are saved with our old plotter name, choosing the new plotter isn't an option for all of our old dwgs that havent been set up using the new plotter name. Since our dwgs number in the 1000s, going through each one and renaming them would be impracticable.. but having to individually plot each one is pretty impracticable as well..
So I tried to figure out a workaround, by opening up our new template that has the new plotter configuration on it, hoping I would be able to use it to set all the old dwgs that I have open at the time to the new plot setting.. but the printer name comes up as something different when I try to use it for publish, and if I use it, I get an error and nothing prints. I know the settings used in the new template work, I have been able to print it out. So what I'm asking is, is there anyway I can use the new plotter to publish all of our old drawings?
using a plotter on a network. I moved all my plot styles to a folder on the network where everyone can use them and pointed the path on each station. My only problem now is that each station seems to have the drivers ect.. for the plotter on stand alone stations. What happens if I open a dwg on my station and then close it and go to another station I get warning that drivers are not found,the device can not be found. Do I need to copy the driver and device folders to the network and have the settings on each PC point to that folder.

View 5 Replies View RelatedSince we've migrated to Windows 8 64b we have problems wih plotting some layouts. If I select my plotter it automatically goes to none after selecting and sometimes I get the following error message:
Most of the times I can use the plotter in the other layouts / drawings, but sometimes I have to restart AutoCAD or reboot the computer before the plotter works again. In some layouts we keep getting this problem even after reboot. I've tried reinstalling the plotter (with different drivers), tried different computers, purge and recover the drawings but no luck. The Plotter is a HP Designjet 800.
When Publishing multiple drawings to a Xerox Plotter, only the first sheet prints. Works on the other 3 machines in the office,just not working with the new machine just set up. Can't seem to find anything that would cause this to not print the whole job.

I have started getting the message 'The configured Heidi driver was not loaded. Switching to the default software driver.'
This seems to happen when opening a drawing but sometimes at random.
When I try to add a plotter, I get a message, "No DRC files were found in Autocad 2013 - English drivers directory."
The DRC files are in the DRVen-US directory, and is in my drivers search path. I have even changed the order of the search path to place that directory first, but no joy.
