I'm using AutoCAD 2012LT and have somehow lost the text command input box, that shows what commands I am typing in, at the bottom of the screen.
I am using the program in Classic View rather than Ribbon view. I've been unable to log into the subscription help center due to the organisation I work for not being on subscription.
My need is to create up to 50 points from the same origin in a three dimensional Cartesian coordinate system but I’d also like to have a labels for each point that show up in the feature tree.
Are there Inventor 2013 plugin (i.e., add-on, 3rd party, AP) to convert a list 3D Cartesian coordinate system locations (i.e., points) to Inventor to work points(x, y, z)?
I found that I cannot create 3D points in the assembly. Is this correct? I did find that an Inventor part may be used to create a 3D sketch that creates points in 3D space. In the past few days, I found two ways to create 3D points within a iPRT; the batch way uses an Excel file but it then does not allow me to name the points in the feature tree. The second way is to create them one at a time but that take way too much time.
I saw another thread on this, but it went unanswered, so I am going to ask it with some better information.I installed inventor pro 2012, and it was working fine for a few days, but it now is missing the input boxes for the Precise Input window. URL....

1. How can you input text within a circle or square or triangle? The circle , etc would be just larger then the text within.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am UNABLE to follow a tutorial on how to make a repeatable pattern using 'texture transfer' on some fire I want to make into a pattern!!! every time I select the area I want to use and the 'input map' and paste as new image and I tell Resynthesizer to use that image it ALWAYS errors out as "The Input Map Should Be The Same Size As The Input Texture Image" according to the tutorial another person gave me on this forum he said NOTHING about being the same size!!! in fact, his selection was SMALLER than the actual image that he was using Resynthesizer on!!!

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am making a small square book in the book module. The book only has 40 pages and therefore the spine is pretty narrow. In the cover template, the spine does show up but I am unable to click into it, where normally on other books, a yellow box appears to input the text.
I wonder if this is not happening because the spine may be too small for text. Although I did make the text in Photoshop and added it to the cover as a Background graphic. The two issues with that is that it takes much too long to tweak it, and since it's JPEG file, I am sure it won't be as sharp as text typed into LR directly. I will be making several books this size and I would prefer having it be simple and just within LightRoom

Illustrator CS6. Is there a script that inputs in a text field the width and height of an object. I do proofs and for a printing company and we always have to write the size of the artwork for the customer to approve. It's easy to do, but when you do 100's a week, it gets old and annoying. I do scale the image down to be visible on 11x8.5. I would think if there is a way to input the size of artwork, there would have to be a way to write the script so it can multiply the scaled down artwork for proofs to the actual W and H of the object. If the art is 13"W x 20"H and I put it on the proof at 10%, I want the script to input in a text field the 13"W x 20"H.

The user then puts a number in each field.
I have a 3rd field created to hold the answer. I also made a text field with the name "scorefield" to see if that would work, either will do.
Then on a button on the stage, the user clicks on it to add those first two numbers together and have the sum appear in the 3rd field or the text field that has the symbol name "scorefield".
However I can not seem to be able to add the 2 values of the text fields. On the submit button I have:

The problem is that it is NOT adding number1 and number2 together!
If I substitute + for - or / or * it works using those symbols, but if I try to use the plus sign and add the two, it does not work and instead physically adds the numbers next to eachtoher.
So If I were to put a 5 in field one, and a 2 in field 2, the result comes out to be 52...instead of adding the two values, it places them next to eachother.
I know those ARE numeric values because any other mathamatical sign works. I can multiplay, subtract and divide those two numbers. I can even check to se if its higher or lower of a value using > or <.
But when I use the + sign, it breaks.
Is there some other sign I must use to add two values?
Loving all the features there in ,so many to look and learn I was playing around in after effects last night, and i got stuck when it came to mixing two different videos as one, i found and played around with the effects settings but when i went to put some text in i had no idea where i was i got lost then confused and ended up just closing the program without saving anything.

1. When we copy / paste text within illustrator all color information is lost.
2. When we save documents in Illustrator CS6 then re-open text with color attributes changes to different random colors!!
For example: If we save an Illustrator document with a paragraph of text that is part red and part black when we re-open the same paragraph might be all gray, or orange or (you pick a color).

I have lost the ability to free scale objects/text boxes etc. in Illustrator CS5. I have to use the scale tool every time I need to adjust the size of something and it is not a sustainable technique in terms of time/productivity/function.

How to input mdb files thru ogr provider but can't seem to find it anywhere. I had my computer setup to do this but now it doesn't work and have to redo this again. Is the ogr provider the best way to input mdb files (ESRI) personal geodatabase file. Have 2011 civil 3d running windows xp.

It's irritating to me, because I'm more used to a much older version of AutoCAD.
Upon searching through the internet I found a thread here that says that I have to set DYNMODE to "0" to turn off the dynamic input. Alas, I have no clue as to at which subfolder of the registry this variable should be.

A while ago my dynamic input method went from aligned to some sort of midpoint angled method. Not even really sure. What this is / how to change the input method?
Attached is a shoulder sub I am trying to complete.
My sticking point is defining the "slope", which I want to be an input parameter, from P6 to P7.
L7 needs to tie to this slope while maintaining the superelevation.

I want to be able to see angles in Dynamic Input with the base line set where I need it to be.
In the red is where AC puts the baseline in the DYN command.
Is there a way for me to "tilt" the baseline so i can use it in ANY angle, like in the blue?
* I am referring to the baseline as where 0 degrees begins*
I need to change the radial acceleration value in Civil3d when designing for super elevated bends to shorten the transition of a track. When I create a line using dynamic input, I key in the length, TAB, and the angle. Is there a toggle setting somewhere that will allow me to enter angles greater than 180°? Drawing Units are set to Base angle north (270°) angles in D-M-S measured clockwise, yet dynamic input angles are measured from east (0°) both clockwise and counterclockwise. I.E. an input of 90° gives me either north or south, depending on where the cursor is located.
Ideally, I would like to be able to enter either 225° or -135° and have the line head off to the southwest. So far, I'm stymied and have to resort to command line entry. How to make dynamic input do what I want it to?
