im using LT2010, with the autocad classic menu, if i click on a line the layer toolbar is not displaying the layer name of that line, it seems stuck on the current 'set' layer. also right click edit has stopped working and i cant seem to reset it via, tools/options/user prefs.
if i click onto the 2D drafting workspace, the layer problem above doesnt occur but the right click edit still doesnt work.
Double click editing does not work even though it is selected in options. Also, when I try to rotate a view in mv setup it rolls 180 degrees instead of the 90 I entered. Use 2007. Do I need to reload?

View 2 Replies View RelatedJust reinstalled Photoshop CS5 after needing to reinstall Windows 7. Now instead of being to just grab the tool I want, it produces the flyout each time and I have to re-choose what I want to use. This is rather annoying and time consuming, if I am using the same tool.
Can it be coming from Windows or just Photoshop. I did try resetting the preferences and nothing changed.
Basically, when I go to view the layer mask by holding alt and clicking on the layer mask it doesn't function. Along with this problem, when I go to toggle my adjustment layers on and off, by holding alt and clicking on the eye symbol next to the background layer... again this doesn't work.
Im not sure if I have accidently clicked on something that has disabled these functions or its just a bug.
This function is working properly in os x, however on windows when I right click within the canvas I only get a list of all the layers under the mouse,historically since as far back as I can remember since photoshop had layers (rev 3.0 in 1995?) when you right click in windows within the canvas, you get a list of all the layers under your mouse, with the uppermost layer highlighted for easy identification and location of the contents of your layers. I've run all patches and updates and have even uninstalled/re-installed CS6.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI am doing a Total Training class on CS4 PhotoShop. In the section on Learning about Layers I have opened two jpg files.
I double-clicked on the Background Layer of the Statue jpg and changed the name to Statue. All worked okay.
I then selected the unwanted Background area and deleted it.
I then moved the Clouds jpg which created a new Layer. When I double-clicked to change the Layer name to Clouds, the Layer box did not open but the Layer Style box opened.
I was only able to change the name of the Layer via the Layer Properties box.
It appears that the Layer Filters functionality is broken again with 2013. Unchecking the "Apply layer filter to layer toolbar" disables the function of layer filters in the tool palette.

What I would like to happen is have the full property menu open when I select more than one line of text and then double click. As it is, the quick properties opens (in 2011 and previous, full properties opened) . I still want the Edit Text window to open if I double click only one line. I have gone into the user interface and customized some of the items I want for double clicking, I know how to do that, but I'm not sure what change to make for the multiple item double clicking. I actually would like the full properties anytime I pick and dbl-click anything, you know, like the old days.
I have just noted that I cannot single click on entities to open properties or double click on text to launch text editor. The facility has just stopped of its own accord.
There have been no crashes or changes to my systems. No-one else uses this station or this software in my office so how can these things just go wrong by themselves?
I checked options and mouse config and nothing seems to be out of place there.

It's not specific to the drawing either as I've tested it in other drawings as well. It's a toggle somewhere in autocad. BTW Its on my 2006 version. I own 2012 but i'm an old dog that doesn't like to learn new tricks.I just noticed that the prelection ability within autocad is shut-off. For example you select a few object and then use the copy command. The copy command does not recognize the pre-selected objects anymore. Autocad now requires me to select the object from within the command itself.

View 6 Replies View RelatedWe are starting to install AutoCAD 2014 on our machines. On one of our machines, the user can't get double click editing to work on inserts. I can open the drawing on my machine and it works fine. She is using the same profile and workspace and both machines have SP1 installed. Double click editing works for other objects (MLeaders, Text...) but not for inserts or their attributes. The only way she can edit the attribute text is through the property window.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have been having problems using my layer toolbar dropdown menu. My drop down bar will show the current layer or the current layer and the layer of a selected object. I need to open the Layer Properties Manager in order to turn on/off or freeze/thaw other layers. It seems to happen the most when I have external references loaded into the drawing.
Also, the Layer Properties Manager has a few quirks. If I create a new layer, it will not record changes to the layer color, linetype, etc on the first try. I can make these changes, but when I close the Layer Properties box, all of the changes are lost. I need to reopen the Layer Properties Manager and make the changes again.
The Layer Properties Manager also seems to have a glitch where it will deselect from the manager back to the drawing without a mouse click. Also, when I click once on an external reference layer to select, it tells me I cannot modify this layer. I would assume this would pop up if it were a double click action for modification, but it does this after a single click.
It seems that there are some major glitches with the Layer Properties Manager.

Third, the problem.I am experiencing a selection and double click editing problem with AutoCAD 2012LT & AutoCAD 2014LT. On Friday, June 28th we recieved updated (not new) backgrounds from a lighting designer for two floors of the building whose MEP system we are engineering. The second floor had no problems really; we reset some annotation scales and the updated backgrounds plugged right in. The first floor, however, was so messed up that we copied and pasted the track lights and all else into our file directly (vs. xref'ing) and instantly, after a save, it is impossible to evoke any kind of edit with double click. In order for us to modify anything, we have to type the command before editing. So if I want to DDEDIT, I have to type that in before changing the text. If I do select the text first than CAD freezes, takes a huge dump, wipes for 5 minutes, and then the text editor appears. This problem is ubiquitous with all 2012 LT machines and up. AutoCAD 2005 LT has no problem (lmfao).
I would like to add the layer state drop-down from the ribbon to one of my toolbars, but can't find it in CUI command list. Is this feature only available with the ribbon?

View 8 Replies View RelatedDon't know how or why this has happened, but my AutoCAD has suddenly stopped showing the correct shortcut menu's when I right click. This happens both in 'default mode' and 'edit mode'. All I get is the default menu instead of my customised edit menu.
I've not edited my CUI nor my right click customisation, but when I've checked them, both are as they should be. I just can't work it out. Also, the delete key won't allow be to delete selected objects anymore.
I'm not sure what was the last thing I did before this error occured, but I think at some point I wanted to press the delete key but may have ended up pressing either the insert, end or home key and maybe for 2-3 seconds. Not sure if these would change anything but thought I should mention it.
Is there anyway these may have been disabled, for example a small insignificant icon somewhere?
Why does the layer control toolbar always state the Xref layers by default. Is there a workaround, or a setting so the layers of the current drawing are displayed by default?
